Ibn al-Qayyim said: "Never think that guidance comes from intelligence, effort, or lineage. If Allah were to leave a servant to himself for even a moment, he would perish. Guidance is from Allah alone, and firmness upon it is a gift He bestows upon whom He wills." -Madarij al-Salikin

📌🌹🌹🌹Allah says in surah al-Ma'idah [05]:
[لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا]
"For each of you We have prescribed a law and a way." [48]
Imam ibn Jarir al-Tabari brings the statement of the great Tabi'ee, Qatadah, in his explanation of this phrase:
... Regarding this ayah, Qatadah said, "A path and a way. The ways vary; for the Tawrah there was one set of legislation, for the Injeel there was another set of legislation, and for the Qur'an there was another set of legislation. In them, Allah made whatever He willed permissible and whatever He willed impermissible as a test in order to know who would obey Him from who would disobey Him. But the one religion besides which none other is accepted is: al-Tawheed and al-Ikhlaas towards Allah, the religion which all the messengers brought."
[Tafsir al-Tabari 10/385]
Ibn Hajar said: Treating all diseases with supplication and seeking refuge in God is more effective and beneficial than treating them with drugs. The effect of this and the body’s reaction to it is greater than the effect of physical medicines. However, it is only effective with two things: one from the side of the sick person, which is the sincerity of intention, and the other from the side of the healer, which is the strength of his focus and the strength of his heart with piety and reliance.
ʿUmar ibn al-Khattāb (رضي الله عنه) said:
«إذا رزقكَ الله وُدَّ امرئٍ مسلم، فتشبَّث به ما استطعت»
“If Allah blesses you with the affection of a fellow Muslim, then hold firmly to it as much as you are able.”
al-Zuhd by Waki’ ibn al-Jarrah: 334
Al-Shāfiʿī رحمه الله said:
« وأحبُّ لمن أذنب ذنبًا فستره الله عليه، أن يستر على نفسه، ويتوب فيما بينه وبين ربه »
“I love for the one who commits a sin that Allah has concealed for him to conceal it himself, and to repent between himself and his Lord.”
Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī (2/516)
‘Umar, the freed slave of Ghufrah (رحمه الله), said:
إذا انكشف الغطاء للناس يوم القيامة عن ثواب أعمالهم، لم يروا عملًا أفضل ثوابًا من الذكر، فيتحسَّر عند ذلك أقوام، فيقولون: ما كان شيء أيسر علينا من الذكر.
“When the veil is lifted for the people on the Day of Resurrection, revealing the rewards of their deeds, they will not see any deed with a greater reward than the remembrance of Allah. Then some people will be filled with regret and say: ‘There was nothing easier for us than remembering Allah.’”
Al-Wābil al-Ṣayyib: 78

Loving Someone Fisibi’Allah…
Questioner: Someone who loves a person for the sake of Allaah, must he say, “I love you for the sake of Allaah,” to him? Al-Albaani: Yes, but loving [someone] for the sake of Allaah has a huge price, only very few people pay it. Do you know what the price [to be paid] for loving someone for Allaah’s sake is? Do any of you know the price? Let whoever knows give us the answer. Someone present: Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ said, “There are seven whom Allaah will shade with His shade on the day when there will be no shade except His …” one of the categories mentioned are two men who love each other for Allaah’s sake, who get together for that reason and part for it too. Al-Albaani: This is correct in and of itself but it is not the answer to the question, it’s an approximate definition of loving for the sake of Allaah but not a conclusive one. My question was what is the price that two people who love each other for the sake of Allaah must give one another? And I’m not referring to the reward in the Hereafter. What I’m getting at from the question is what is the practical proof that two people love each other for the sake of Allaah? Because two people may love each other but their love is nominal, not real. So what is the proof of true love?Someone present: “That he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” Al-Albaani: This is the characteristic of love or [at the very least] one of the characteristics of love … Someone else: Allaah said, “Say: ‘If you love Allaah, then follow me and He will love you.’” [Aali-’Imraan 3:31] Al-Albaani: This is the correct answer to another question. Someone present: Maybe the answer can be found in the authentic hadith, “There are three things if found in a person, he will experience the sweetness of faith …” one of which is two people who love each other for Allaah’s sake. Al-Albaani: This is the effect of loving someone for the sake of Allaah, [that you find] a [certain] sweetness in your heart. Someone present: The Most High said, “By Time! Indeed, mankind is in loss. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.” [Surah Asr 103] Al-Albaani: Well done. That is the answer. And an explanation of that is that if I really love you for the sake of Allaah I would persist in advising you, and you would do the same. Persevering in advising one another is very rare between those who claim to love each other, this love might have some sincerity in it, but it is not complete, because we try to make an allowance for the other, afraid that the other person will become angry, that he will flee … and so on. It is in light of this that [you can see that] the cost of loving someone for the sake of Allaah is that each person shows sincerity towards the other by advising him, always and forever telling him to do good and preventing him from bad—he is more constant in advising him than that person’s own shadow is close—for this reason it has been authentically reported that when parting from one another, one of the habits of the Companions was that one of them would read to the other, “By Time! Indeed, mankind is in loss. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.” [Surah Asr 103]

My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance].
are all black dogs devils or do devils mostly take that form? some such dogs look genuine puppy like yet i keep reciting audubilla when i see them after i read about black dogs in hadiths
As for the Hadeeth that reads, “The black dog is a devil,” it has been reported by Imaam Muslim in his Saheeh. It is possible that the devil takes the form of a black dog, according to the interpretation of some scholars; however, this does not necessarily mean that every black dog is a devil. Other scholars held that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, called the black dog a devil due to the high degree of its evil. Sheikh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said that the Hadeeth means that it is a devil among dogs not a devil among jinn.
