GROUP CONVERSATION EXPERIENCE!
MY CONVERSATION WITH JEFF, AURTHUR AND MARIA!
Hello everybody!
Today, I had a great chat with some of the new members and Jeff. We talked about different ways to enhance our learning and to plan things that would help us to achieve our target, i.e. "Mastering English!" .Jeff, as always, tried to share his experience on how we can help each other, by providing instant feed-backs at the end of our conversations and then posting those feed-backs using podcasts on tumblr! These podcasts would then serve the purpose of comparison of one's speaking abilities after he starts posting those regularly and comparing his new postcasts with the old ones!Â
WORD OF THE DAY!
Adjunct:Â a thing added to something else as a supplementary rather than an essential part.
Using in the sentence:
"computer technology is an adjunct to learning"
"In addition to working as a psychotherapist, she is also an adjunct college psychology instructor."
synonyms:supplement, addition, accompaniment, complement, companion, extra,add-on, additive, accessory, appurtenance;
What is happened with you is all because of your father’s statement. What has happened with you is all because of your father’s statement. In the above sentences which one is correct, is it ‘IS’ or ‘HAS’ and why?
(via alamsworld)
I think..
Using 'Has' here, would be right, because of the fact, that the statement is in past tense. So, "What has happened with you.." is correct form.
However, if 'happened' was to be replaced with 'happening', using 'is' instead of 'has' would be desirable!
So, in that case, "what is happening with you.." would be the correct form!
WORD OF THE DAY!
IDYLLIC:Â
like an idyll; extremely happy, peaceful, or picturesque.
"an attractive hotel in an idyllic setting"
synonyms:perfect, ideal, idealized, wonderful, blissful, halcyon, happy
antonyms:hellish
CONVERSATION FEEDBACK!

WORD OF THE DAY!

WORD OF THE DAY!
Improvise: to create and perform (music, drama, or verse) spontaneously or without preparation.
to produce or make (something) from whatever is available.
e.g. '' Jeff invited members from the ENS community to improvise dialogues"

podcast on happiness
Another resourceful Podcast!
Some corrections:
in my point of view = from my point of view.
or you could say a different expression like: "as far as happiness is concerned, i believe that..." Try new expressions!
"i have been telling.." = "i have been explaining.."Â try synonyms
repeated others thrice!
WORD OF THE DAY!
DOGMATIC: Is the strong expression of opinions as if they were facts.
Someone who is dogmatic has arrogant attitudes based on unproved theories.
e.g. Like if you have a difficult time and someone comes and starts giving his/her opinion and suggestions which you don't like, you could say him/her:
"Stop being dogmatic, i don't need your opinion."
