So I'm usually only fashionably late to a fandom, as opposed to like over a decade late, but I impulse bought a box-set of the Captain America movies the other day cuz it was cheap, and I'd only seen the first one (I kinda burnt out on the MCU around Iron Man 3). So, I watched First Avenger and Winter Soldier, and then went straight to AO3 lmao (still haven't watched Civil War; I'm basking in the post-CATWS tag).

Anyway, uh. Twelve years late on this one, but all of your Steve/Bucky works are just absolutely beautiful. I mainlined them all and have reread them a couple of times just in the past few days. Your scene setting, the prose, the dialogue, and how beautiful and flawed you portray them both is just. Yeah. Gorgeous.

The world is pretty ugly right now, at least from where I'm standing, but reading your work has been such a lovely little bright spot for me. So I just wanted to come say thanks. And again, sorry I'm late haha

This just made my day like you've no idea 🥹🥹 the MCU sort of has lost its spark for me these days (trust me, stay in that post-CATWS goldilocks zone for as long as possible!) but I'm still super fond of that fic era. It truly was an unhinged and amazing time.

Secret third thing: i've been using a small tablet for the past like 15 years for home fandom/doomscrolling, so all things Tumblr/youtube/reddit and, most importantly, ao3 if the fic is under 20k words happens there, and Instagram/IRL stuff happens on my phone. It's soooo much comfortable and it breaks my brain that they're not popular.

Ao3 on a phone just sounds like eye strain to me tbh.
