Word Count: 1084
Pairing: Poe Dameron/Pilot!Reader
Summary: From 50 Angsty Questions Prompt list (here), #22 “Which part of me wasn’t enough?”
Warnings: Swearing, angst (is a given since well the prompt list lol)
Request from @anetteaneta: “Congratulations 150 followers!❤️❤️ these angst quotes are really good. I’m scared…🤭#22 with Poe? Just don’t be cruel to me! 🥺🥺”. I couldn’t respond on the ask because I could only read it when I was on my iPad and I write on my MacBook. Hope I wasn’t too cruel🥺! If you want to make a request, send me an ask with a character and number from this prompt list.
You were fighting more. As the Resistance struggled to rebuild since Crait, every conversation you seemed to have with Poe dissolved into a shouting match that concluded with both of you in tears and one of you storming out–usually it was Poe, who’d spend the night in Finn’s room, while you laid in your shared bed sobbing.
Usually in the morning Poe would come back, begging for forgiveness and kissing your tears away. You would cry and say you were sorry for all the horrible things you had said to him–that you didn’t really mean them. And for a while, it worked. You were able to plan missions with him, train with him, recruit with him without conflict.
But by the end of the day, when exhaustion and stress and fear had you both in their tight grip–you found yourselves back in your shared quarters hurling insults as if they were flash bombs.

I was all set to make a cup of tea, turn the Patriots game on and work on one of my endless writing projects—and my laptop won’t turn on.
It was my adapter! New one came in this week (holidays got in the way and I kept forgetting to order!) Yay! I feel like I can write again and that I actually WANT to write again!

I just realized I had a few anon messages in my inbox and I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to answering them. I lost interest in my writing because I had no time for it. Due to my rent unexpectedly going up, plus the cost of living sky rocketing after COVID--I was in a lot of financial trouble and I had to get a second job just to make ends meet. For a year I was working 20 to 25 extra hours a week on top of teaching so you can imagine i was just exhausted when I made it home. After a changing to a different salary track and with my raise this year, I am able to comfortably live on my one job again. Hopefully this means I'll get back to writing--I've been thinking about it a lot lately.
I'm feeling the writing bug for this weekend. I don't have a lot going on...what should I write/work on first???
