A spot for me to collect everything about actor Oscar Isaac and the characters he brings to life. It'll probably include his co-stars too. 18+ only just in case I reblog something minors shouldn't see. Absolutely ancient for this site but not going anywhere!
I’m done with people arguing with me online about the Gwendoline Christie photo below, so I’m posting this to put an end to the questioning, once and for all:
As much as we’d all like it to be him…the man above is NOT Oscar Isaac. This party was held in London on 11/12 October, 2011.
Take a look at the same man (in the same suit) circled in these photos:
Definitely NOT Oscar. Plus, Oscar was in New York City performing his play, We Live Here, during the same timeframe, so there is no way he could have been in London:
Well, I got it started. The story that I've wanted to write for... a very long time. Since before I started writing Damerey, even. I'm making it Damerey because it feels right, and I hope I can keep them faithful to their original characterizations.
Y'all know this is going to take some time, but now that it's started, I feel committed. I'll get it done, even if it takes (God forbid) years. In the meantime, here's a bit of the the completed first chapter of Save A Prayer.
The man she was focused on was very attractive. He was older than her, maybe in his mid-30s, with dark hair, slightly curly and soft looking. Not tall, but fit; the jeans he wore looked very good on him and he filled them out nicely in the back. He wore an off-white button-down shirt that looked soft and silky, and she itched to see if she could feel his biceps under the sleeve that was rolled up just enough to show off his forearms. That thought startled her, and she looked away, embarrassed but curious about her reaction. Frowning, she turned to look at him again, only to find his gaze on her.
She felt her face heat and she looked away again, facing the bar top and her drink. Her heart started racing when she sensed a person come up and sit next to her, knowing who it was. Taking a deep breath, she looked at him.
“Hi,” he said simply, his expression tentative. Almost as if he was uncertain if he should have come over.
“Hi,” Rey said, giving him a soft smile. Her heart was still beating hard in her chest, but that was what she wanted, right? She had never felt this with anyone else since she had started this scheme. This is what she had been looking for. And she certainly did not want to ruin it by making him think she didn’t want his attention.
“I apologize if I’m disturbing you,” he continued. “You looked…” he stopped, licking his lips and biting the lower one before continuing. “…like you were looking for something.”
She was surprised by his assessment. It wasn’t your typical pickup line. She considered him for a second before answering. “And you think you can help me find it?”
His visage, framed by dark, thick waves of hair, was a bit proud of countenance: something that others, not knowing him, might mistake for arrogance. Confident in his skills and in his mission, he sometimes displayed an impatience that arose only from a desire to fulfill the task at hand. @totally-not-leilani asked for the sources on the info listed here and since I’ve been hoping to do an infodump since I posted this, I decided to just make it into a reblog (hope you don’t mind!). Going under the cut because this will be long!
I’d hereby like to sue for damages, because what do you MEAN they unexpectedly did the Vanity Fair Lie Detector test?? I just know this is now going to take over my brain/day 😩
