[text from Evie] I’m flying home tomorrow for my show, so you’ll have a break from mom and dad for a few days.
[Text: Evie]: Have a good show. I'd say break a leg, but I don't think that's something you want to do again, so I'll break tradition and say Good Luck.

[text] Oh is that new? I don’t think I’ve heard of it. I hope you’re enjoying it!
[text] Gray it’s nothing like that.. I’m sure everyone has forgotten about me by now. I’m not exactly the new young next best thing anymore.
[text] But it’s still a lot of pressure, and I want to be perfect. For me.
[Text: Evie]: Well, like I said, I start this weekend.
[Text: Evie]: You’re still the only one from our tiny ass town to ever go to the Olympics, trust me, no one had forgotten about you. You’re like a local town hero.
[Text: Evie]: I get that. You think I don’t want to be perfect every time I dance? I do.

[text] Oh did you? That’s fantastic Gray congratulations! Where’s it at? And I of course understand.
[text] Oh I’m sure I will, I can’t wait to see everyone again.
[text] But..I’m scared. Like, really scared Gray..
[Text: Evie]: Yeah, I’m dancing at the Speakeasy. I start this weekend.
[Text: Evie]: Scared? Of what? You’re the prodigal daughter coming home to skate again, everyone is so excited to see you.
[Text: Evie]: Like, literally, everyone.

eviexstratford:
[text] Yeah let’s not go there. With the way things happen around here, something could go wrong before I even leave.
[text] Do..you want to come and watch? You know I won’t mind if you do.
[Text: Evie]: I would, but I just started a job dancing, and I don’t want to ask for time off this early.
[Text: Evie]: But you know, have a good time at home and stuff.

HERE WE MEET AGAIN 三分野 — 2023, dir. Tien Jen Huang
fire-starterdylan:
Dylan only really allowed himself a few times a year to really get drunk, or high, or get it all out of his system. Luckily, it meant his tolerance was low, so there was less consuming to actually be done, but the glow party felt like the perfect opportunity to spin out a bit. He’d been to raves before in the past, EDM concerts and the like and the neon and blacklight really reminded him of that, and the fun he had there. He had to take the ‘no tricks’ thing at face value for its own sanity. Dylan had danced, made out with another slave in the corner for awhile, and found himself back at the bar, intending to order a shot or two for himself anyway out of the colorful little cups before he saw a familiar face to his right. “Yeah, if you’re buyin’!” he laughed, eyes raking over her. “You look good.”
“Oh yeah because I was going to make you pay!” Gray joked as she moved closer to Dylan. She was at least glad to see him doing better, and she wrapped her arms around his neck, she had no idea what she’d taken earlier, but just running her hands over his shoulders felt great. “You feel really good!” she called over the music, grinning when he complimented her. The bartender put two shots down in front of them and she turned and picked one up before downing it quickly. “I gotta catch up!” she giggled.
xavier-lennon:
“Yeah, there probably is”, Xavier agreed and knew for a fact that they were right. There was a lot he would give to swap his nightmares for the struggles of a dancer. “But no need to lose sleep if you can help it. Come on” He began to walk towards the psychology department where he knew of a few rooms that were rarely used. “It’s alright. There’s not much that keeps me busy these days”
“I imagine schoolwork would keep you at least somewhat busy?” Gray asked as she glanced at him. “Or is this more of a party school where everyone gets by on good looks and their willingness to be passed around?” okay maybe not as polite as she’d thought.
donniexmiller:
“I mean, I don’t know if I know all of them,” he laughed. “This professor and I just happen to have a few things in common.” He chuckled. “But yes, we all do tend to get to know one another, inevitably. Something about working together on a small island,” he teased. “It’s nice to meet you too, Gray.”
“What no meet and greets in the teacher’s lounge?” Grayson joked lightly as she looked over at him. “It’s nice to meet you too Professor,” she added and then let out a sigh. “You know what, forget the studio,” she said as she looked at him, giving him a quick once over. “Why don’t you show me your favorite place on the island?”
slavexisabel:
“Oh, I don’t mind at all, Miss!” No, she welcomed the distraction. Not to mention she loved meeting new people. Isabel’s world was so small for so long, she welcomed any opportunity to broaden it. “I um, honestly wouldn’t be too surprised if it was purposefully vague. It’s a weird way to encourage people to interact, I guess?” Or get lost and pay for it, she supposed. Thankfully it was nothing she’d experienced. It was an odd benefit from having so much trouble making decisions for herself. The shapeshifter nodded at the other woman’s question, not feeling awkward in the slightest. “It’s not so bad,” she offered. “I-I’m, Isabel, Miss. Isabel Hai Phan.”
“Mm, from a psychological point of view, I guess it’s working,” Gray shrugged. “Plus, I guess it would be pretty boring for whoever is in charge if people weren’t taking advantage of their status here,” she added thoughtfully. “I mean, I heard he isn’t seen around much, so I have to assume he just sits in his office with like a thousand video monitors everywhere watching everything that goes on here,” Gray smirked a little at the thought. “Like the Truman Show.” she looked over wen the girl introduced herself. “Grayson, Grayson Stratford,” she replied. “Glad to hear it’s not so bad.”
rowanxaubri:

The Mistress had a point. Rowan was going to ask which side the volunteer ashtray would be on but proclivities didn’t really matter here, did they? Consenting slaves were chained up regardless, as well as the kinder Masters from what she could tell. It was part of what made her wary of Gray in the first place, though she seemed kind enough. “Whichever you prefer is fine by me, I’ve never been exactly picky, even when I was in your shoes once upon a time.” At the suggestion, the slave did precisely what was asked, tilting her head back and opening her mouth slightly.
Gray carefully poured a little bit of water into Rowan’s mouth, making sure not to overwhelm her or accidentally waterboard her. When she stopped she gave Rowan a chance to swallow before waiting for her lead, to see if she wanted or needed any more. “How’d you end up here?” she asked softly as she looked at the other woman curiously. “You’re wearing a collar, so you’re a slave, but you used to be a mistress?” she paused and then realized that may be a sensitive subject. “Sorry, don’t feel the need to answer that if you don’t want to.”
kumihopjm:
“Have you come to the island to sharpen your skills so one day you could go to Bolshio?” He asked. He wasn’t one to pry into people’s business and wasn’t going to ask what kept her from going. He didn’t like answering questions about himself so he was going to give her the same respect. “My Russian is bit rusty, but I also enjoyed the Russian ballets, but the school will put on one.” He commented. “I would be honored to make something for you then, it is nice to meet you, Gray.”
That’s exactly why I came,” she nodded. “This school carries a lot of weight, I figured if I could get an education here in Russian Literature and Ballet, they’d see how serious I am about their program,” she smiled. When he said he’d make her something, she smiled. It was always nice to have a friend, and to have one who would make her something as beautiful as a suit was a good fortune indeed. “Well then, I’d love to dance for you sometime,” she smiled at him.
feelings-fortilly:
“I danced for ten!” she smiled, before faltering, her nose scrunching as she was thinking. “Or, I think it was ten? I don’t know, it was on and off for awhile, but I always loved it.” And it kept her in good shape, which was probably most of the reason that’s the major she picked. Tilly had no interest in academics. But even she knew the importance of the Bolshoi, and her brows raised, impressed. “Wow, okay,” she said. Bless, she didn’t like the stiffness that she thought ballet was. “Oh, sweetie, did you not get in?” she asked, voice comforting, and she gave the woman’s arm a comforting rub.
“No, well,” Gray sighed and then shook her head. “I was supposed to go, but then my sister was in a really bad accident. My family thought it would be better if I stayed,” she didn’t know why she was trusting this stranger with this information. Maybe it was because she was a stranger? Maybe it was because she was a dancer and she understood how much Bolshoi meant to another dancer. “Then I had another opportunity- they actually gave me a second chance,” she chuckled softly. “But uh,” she licked her lips. “But my sister had another accident,” she shook her head as she crossed her arms. “And I was the one who found her, so, I couldn’t just leave her there, she could have died,” she had almost left her there. She had thought about just calling 911 and leaving. Agonized about it as she’d pulled Evie from the tub and wrapped her arms in towels. Something even Evie didn’t know she had done. She’d never told anyone. “Bolshoi doesn’t give third chances,”

“i want you to fuck me.”
“you’d look better with those clothes on the floor.”
“you feel so good.”
“i’ve been thinking about you all night.”
“i need you so bad.”
“take your clothes off.”
“fuck me like you hate me.”
“i need to feel you inside of me.”
“i need to be inside of you.”
“beg for it.”
“bend over.”
“get on your knees.”
“i love the way you touch me.”
“i love the way you kiss me.”
“how bad do you want me?”
“do you know how bad i want you?”
“you’re so sexy when you’re hot and bothered.”
Dance is the expression of life, and Gray knew that- normally her dancing was strictly ballet, maybe a little classical, but today the school was having a big ass party including some dancing, and hell, she’d been experimenting with letting go- why not? She danced with the other students around her and couldn’t help but smile as she let go. It was very, very rare for Gray to let go, but maybe it had something to do with whatever that English guy had given her. She just danced and danced and enjoyed herself.
When the song faded into another, she took a stumbling step to the side, before she found her way to the bar and flagged down the bartender, motioning for a shot. “Hey,” she called over the music to the person next to her. “You want a shot?”
@fire-starterdylan
Every day started very much the same for Gray. She’d wake up, she’d have a protein drink and then she’d go for a run. She was determined to keep her dancing figure, despite the fact that there were so many things to indulge on here. A bakery for one, plenty of nice restaurants with very carb heavy meals, a candy store for god’s sake, all of it called out to her, but Gray knew better than to fall victim to her own desires. She continued to run, passing all of those by without a car, and continued down the beach. When she was on her way back from her run, that was usually when people were starting to get up and move around for the day, and she was usually at the jogging portion of her run. She was heading back herself, almost to the school when she turned a corner and ran right into someone, sending her to the ground with a groan.
God what were they a brick wall or something? She found herself looking up at one of the guards- she had seen him during the punishment when she was walking by, and she stood up with a groan. “Sorry about that,” she apologized. “I don’t normally see people up this early, I wasn’t paying attention,” she explained. And it was early, the sun was just coming up- usually it was another twenty or thirty minutes before she’d even see the guards reporting for work. Maybe she’d gotten faster and needed to extend her running path to make up for that.
