When Hanzo decided to track down Kuai Liang and finish things once and for all, he expected something far different than this. He expected a battle, epic and bloody, one that he could come out victorious and be proud to have won because the fearsome Sub Zero gave him a fight.
What he got instead, was incredibly disappointing.
He thought it strange that he’d managed to track Kuai down to a small gay club, but initially thought nothing of it. That was until he entered, and there Kuai Liang was, on the centre of the dance floor, clearly completely off his face on god knows what, and sandwiched between two men. Given the way the pair were groping at his body, it was clear they were intending to get busy with him.
Hanzo debated leaving and confronting Kuai another time. Except something about the situation felt… off.
Not in the sense that Kuai Liang wasn’t into it. In fact, he seemed a little too into everything. It was something else that Hanzo just couldn’t put his finger on.
Kuai Liang: You remind me so much of my brother before he left. Good luck Kung Jin, always.
Kung Jin: Thanks.
Kuai Liang: It’s not a compliment, he went to prison.
So, I have two MK oc's you might have seen crop up in my fanfics every now and then; Junpei and Katashi.
They don't really have a fixed timeline, basically existing so I can drop them in and give Hanzo named Shirai Ryu to work with. If I were to give them a "canon", they were some of the first recruits Hanzo accepted amongst his rebuilt Shirai Ryu. But they have snuck into the past Shirai Ryu a couple of times occasionally if I feel I need them.
They aren't really super developed characters, and out of the two I'd say Junpei probably has the most speaking roles, given he tends to be Hanzo's right hand man most of the time.
Katashi on the surface is far less developed, except maybe showing a little impulsivity and having a bit of snippiness with Hanzo. But Katashi has also had a little tidbit of lore that I have just realised has never actually come up in my fics yet, or at least the ones I've posted...
Katashi has a crush on Kuai Liang.
That has been a part of his character since I first introduced him, but for some reason it's never actually come up. I think it's because he hasn't really been "on screen" with Kuai Liang for it to be made obvious. I don't write from his or Junpei's POV so we only ever see them from the canon characters eyes. I think Hanzo had noted once or twice that Katashi can be difficult with him, but otherwise hasn't really alluded to why that is (aka: the two are at odds because wtf man that's literally Hanzo's wife, excuse me).
But yeh. I know no one had probably ever wondered about those two guys but they do have lore that exists entirely within my head (& now my OC notes lmao)
Kuai Liang: Got hurt during a mission, so I’m in hospital now and got a CT scan and Bi-Han text me.
Kuai Liang: I thought he’d be all worried but what he said was;
Bi-Han's text: Did they find your brain while you were there?
Hanzo: Oh, Kuai Liang, You wouldn’t help me with this, would you?
Kuai Liang: What’s in it for me?
Hanzo: Er… My eternal gratitude?
Kuai Liang: Anything a bit less… Nebulous?
Hanzo: … A chocolate biscuit?
Kuai Liang: Let’s do it.
Johnny: You're just going to have to figure out what it wants. What is its motivation?
Sonya: It's a rock monster. It doesn't have motivation!
Johnny: See, that's your problem, Sonya. You were never serious about the craft!
