I feel real comfortable at night or in dark spaces and tend to scare people because I walk really quietly. So now here's a little guy who is serving that fear!

Those tunnels might even lead to the surface. You'll maybe encounter a forgotten stormdrain, a large pipe leading nowhere, the gaping mouth of an abandoned tunnel, darkness seeping out like a liquid, spilling over your shoes, following you in the footprints you leave behind.

You might see two pin-prick dots of light, following your every move. You look right at them.

You'll see that there's a man standing there. You have the feeling you might know him from somewhere. You'll never see his face.

He asks you to follow him. And you do.

There's always a moment of intense cultural whiplash whenever I realize I'm talking to someone who thinks "legal" and "illegal" are meaningful categories and ascribes innate goodness to following the law. It's like meeting a space alien.

My religion teacher in high school was like that. We were supposed to sort by what imperative people should act and my friend and I put morals above law. Which our teacher then argued about with us for more than ten minutes.

In my country it was legal to murder people if they weren't aryan or didn't support the regime btw...

It's absolutely crazy that intellectual labor can wipe you out. It seems like it shouldn't be a thing, like your stores of brain juice shouldn't be able to be depleted in that way.

I feel like a wizard that's out of spell slots, and to me that's a hackish mechanical limitation put in place to try to balance the classes.
