i spent the last 2 years saving up for my top surgery, with the understanding that insurance may not pay a cent for it. turns out it was considered medically necessary when billed as a breast reduction and my grandparents, who to my knowledge do not realize i am trans, have heard about my upcoming procedure and sent me some money for the time i will have to take off. i am incredibly lucky and blessed to have the family i do, and i need to take a moment to cherish it. there will be a 2-week period that i can't do much, but will make some time to write a thank you letter to them.
