Yk ive seen a couple post nwh peter in Gotham fics where pete either still has Karen or ends up remaking her and i just yk
Thought that maybe
It'd be fun for Peter to somehow make Tony into an Ai
Sorta like Tony did w Jarvis. Where he like made him in honor of his butler, Edwin Jarvis and JUST AUGHGG
And what would make it even more better would for somehow Tony's soul to possess the AI pete makes and just the hilarity that would cause its just cherry on top honestly
A Marvel x DC crossover where everyone who got Snapped goes to the DC ‘verse
World governments on both sides are freaking out because a sudden appearance/disappearance of that many people will just wreck the economy no matter what
People trying to argue that they have citizenship (even if it’s another world) and can’t be deported to some random country
The Justice League trying to figure out how to fix this, because they’re the best connected when it comes to magical resources and alien tech, so surely they can figure this out?
After a few weeks of observation, the Marvel heroes who got Snapped begin to trust that the Justice League really is trying to help, so they come forward as heroes from their universe with relevant information about how everyone ended up here
I want it all from Peter Parker’s POV. Because he isn’t out as Spider-Man yet, and also because he’s so young. The JL has a Thing™️ about child heroes without adult supervision (and Peter’s adult is firmly stuck in the Marvel ‘verse thinking that Peter’s dead)
Just… inter-dimensional teamwork to get everyone unblipped. It’s the perfect plot for a crossover AU. And I know that there are a lot of fics where Peter specifically ends up in DC during the Blip, but I’m not talking about that. I want everyone to end up there.
More randomness of little Peter Parker in Gotham thoughts
Spiderman isn't dark.
He isn't scary.
He doesn't strive to strike fear in the hearts of those he fights.
And he never wants the people he protects to flinch away from him.
The bright blue and red of his costume were chosen deliberately, and he isn't willing to change that.
Gotham and its darkness be dammed.
The first time the bats try to give him a darker styled suit, Peter finds the most colorful (neon!) shirt in a thrift store to throw over the dark suit.
The second time, Peter winds some blinking christmas lights around himself.
Reversed Peter in Gotham, so it's actually Peter BACK in Gotham.
Richard and Mary Parker worked at S.H.I.E.L.D., working on multiversal theory. Mary has just given birth a few months ago, but she and Richard are so close, and she needs to be there, so they come into work with young Peter.
An experiment goes wrong.
A young boy, one 'Parker Doe' grows up in Gotham. He was found as a baby in a university lab in Gotham, and no one knows who he is, or where he came from. The only identifier was the 'Parker' stitched onto his clothes. He grows up in foster families and group homes.
Children are far more resilient and able to adapt to hostile enviroments after all. Had young Parker been older, the glitches would have killed him. But because he was but a babe, he managed to survive.
One day, he gets caught in a rogue fight and is rushed to the hospital, where, among other tests, they check his DNA.
Somewhere, not so far away, a computer in a cave pings.
Someone with young Dick Grayson's DNA has been found.
Bruce meets with the kid and they try to figure stuff out, but it goes no where. All Parker remembers in gargoyles and pollution. He has never truly known Richard Parker.
Bruce takie him home anyway. That day, Parker Doe becomes Parker Wayne.
He grows up. He still gets bitten by a spider, one no one will be able to track to anywere. They don't know that Oscorp is a thing.
(Somewhere, in a city far away, an overactive scientist experiments with radioactivity, spiders and quantum physics. They stop once the arachnid disappears without a trace.)
Young Parker grows up on stories about superheroes regardless. It might be Batman instead of Ironman, in this world, but it does not matter. Still, at first he'll remain impassive.
In both worlds, two people die. One Benjamin Parker bleeds out in an alleyway in New York. One Jason Todd gets blown up in Ethiopia. What changes is which one will be grieved by the young spider.
Regardless, Parker goes out into the streets.
Batman, of course, will confront the new vigilante, wary as always, especially after his son's loss. He will recognise his not-so-civilian-anymore son at a moment's glance. Parker, now with a 6th sense, will recognise his father as well.
("Oh my fucking god- dad???"
"I can't believe another of my kids is a superhero."
"Another? Wait, what happened to Jason? The truth, this time.")
Young Parker will continue his life, through Tim Drake's career, Jason's return, Stephanie's death and return and many other stories.
Until, one day, something happens.
Parker Wayne falls.
And like in every world, New York City will catch him.
There is a young thief in Queens. He wears high-tech clothes, crawls like a spider, hides in the dark like a bat.
He's stealing technology, and Fury does not want to find out what he's building too late.
Naturally, S.H.I.E.L.D. intervenes.
What they find isn't a dangerous, evil scientist. It's a scared, young boy with the face of their two best scientists.
When May finds out, she immediately fights to get custody. She doesn't care that it's dangerous, that is her late husband's nephew, damnit.
Parker Wayne gets adopted by the last alive Parker, and when asked for his name, he tells them his once-dead brother's second name.
That is how, for a second time, Peter Parker is born.
(Richard Parker had a close friend, years before he met Mary. That friend was named Jason Peter Todd, and he went on to be an English Professor.)
Eventually, he accepts he will remain in NYC. He goes to school, befriends Ned and MJ, starts regularly patrolling, meets up with his Uncle Nick occasionally and talks shit about the Avengers' organisation when compared to the Justice League.
Life goes on.
Until it doesn't.
Thanos snaps, and Peter expects to never wake up. Instead, Parker Wayne opens his eyes to gargoyles and pollution.
Peter ends up in DC (not in gotham omg) exactly where he was in his universe. It takes him a two full days to realize hes not in his universe bc he chalked a lot of the strangeness to the spell Strange casted
But nope. Hes in a new universe that has completely different heroes, and more importantly, completely different memes (what the hell is "do the butts match"??) And this place has a distinct lack of one Tony Stark
So Peter basically starts up Stark Enterprises in NY again bc he poor and its what Tony (probably) wouldve wanted. He had to pay for this metabolism somehow
But obviously peter needed an investor or twenty, but who needs more than one when Brucie Wayne exists?? Hes like a hunkier yet still bimbo Tony, and practically throws his money at any sad looking teen
But Brucie wayne ends up taking him under his wing, bc hes like. An 18/19 year old CEO and he is Very Concerned abt how this kid not only invented a new time of metal (vibranium) and a very powerful form of energy in the arc reactors, so he pays extra attention bc he does NOT need a villain running around with that kind of power and intelligence to back it
And peter is cautious at first but ends up equating Brucie Wayne to Tony Stark (billionaire, playboy, philanthropist? Hello? Bruce is just a foot taller than tony and thats the only difference) and gets wayyyy too comfortable
Comfortable to the point that he kinda starts to treat Brucie Wayne like Tony stark, in that he kind just blurts out whatever hes thinking around hom and just randomly calls bruce to ask for help
"hey is *insert company* chill? They wanna do a collab or something? Idk"
Brucie Wayne, actively on air in a live interview "Funded a anti LGBTQ+ movement a couple months ago, Peter, they're so last season"
No one let's bruce live down he said that on live television. Bruce defends it by saying its what Brucie Wayne would've said in that situation. No one denies it.
"Hey, can I legally *smth stupid that Bruce absolutely also tried to do as a young CEO*?"
Bruce, actively on patrol. "...unfortunately, tha answer is yes, but i strongly advice against it"
"Your advice is strongly noted. Thanks, Mr Wayne!"
Theres yelling in the distance and some sort of explosion followed by maniacal laughter. Bruce hangs up the phone for his own peace of mind
"Mr wayne, I think i just developed a green energy arc reactor"
Bruce, actually sleeping for once "...Peter, it is 4:37 in the morning"
Peter ends up being basically Bruce's most unofficial son. Or maybe like a nephew that calls their uncle instead of their parents. Whatever is it, the public eats it up and the Batkids are Not Amused
Except Tim. Tim thinks peter is a riot, as a fellow young CEO. But also bc peter has literally no supervision, press training, or even council to answer to, so this witty (and angry tbh) teen (who was also recently widowed from his last family member)(aunt may) kinda just. Says whatever he wants and does whatever he wants (within reason)
Idk... I love my dick as Peter's dad trope, but bruce as Peter's almost-dad-maybe-uncle (its a weird gray area. Hes got issues, okay?) Is objectively hilarious
Bruce Wayne catching peter as Spider-man or half dressed in the suit,,, his instincts as a father, Brucie Wayne persona, and vigilante life all merge together into one, immaculate reply
"Peter Benjamin Parker, what the fuck?"
Dysfunctional found family my beloved,,,
OH OH AND imagine they find out they're all vigilantes right?? So peter uses the design from the iron spider to make them nanite suits too they'd look so fire Tim would LOVE it

Peter Parker in Gotham Fic Recs (Son of Nightwing Edition)
I've read so many fics where Peter Parker (Spider-man) is Dick Grayson's son (by being an alternate version of Richard Parker etc) and I need to list em out right nyeow. Taken from my bookmarks:

My baby, my baby (you're my baby, say it to me) by sstar2000
thinking about a dick grayson is richard parker au where the dc universe also has omegaverse and post no way home, peter is plopped into gotham, deaged (the younger the better) and he has no idea what dynamics are or what’s happening he just thinks the new universe smells weird or his sense of smell has gotten stronger and the first time dick meets peter, dick’s parental instincts come on so sudden and strong that he almost gets a migraine … idk what dynamic dick is but he would be soooooo overprotective of peter and peter would be like “im not a baby!!!” with the chubbiest cheeks
puppy petey who is so tiny and has that baby smell and he’s dick’s mini me, he’s still peter parker but he’s also five so he has his memories but they’re filtered through his baby brain which is to say sometimes he doesn’t mind if he’s picked up but only for a little bit and then he squirms to get down so the entire batfam fights over who picks him up but his fave is probably jason
Seen so many Peter Parker in Gotham fics, and while I love them, I would love to see a Batfam in Marvel fics. Especially with the Richard Grayson is Richard Parker idea!
I like to imagine they somehow end up in Peter’s New York (idk how, haven’t thought about it that much) and in their attempts to find a way back to their home universe end up catching the attention of either SHIELD, the Avengers, or just Tony. They are confronted by whoever catches them and, maybe under duress or the idea that they don’t have the resources to get home alone, explain their situation. It all leads to them staying with Tony while they’re there and it all comes to a head when they meet Peter. Because that looks just like Dick! They start trying to spend more time with him to figure out if it’s just a crazy coincidence or not, and eventually realize this is the alternate universe version of Dick’s son!
I love this idea because it makes me wonder about so many things and I feel like it has a lot of possibilities. Like, the batfam is extremely cagey about who they trust, why and how do they end up telling the truth about what happened to them? If we’re talking the MCU (I honestly just like to pick things I like from each universe and make my own but whatever works lmao) Do they end up meeting the Avenger’s pre-Civil War or after? And if after, what would their thoughts on the Accords be?
How would they react to Peter’s story? He barely remembers his father, if he does at all. How would Dick react to the idea of his son growing up without him? To never meeting Bruce and his siblings (if they even exist in Peter’s world) and instead getting adopted by another family? There was never any Robin or Nightwing. He is DEAD in this universe and is watching his adult or near adult orphaned son look to a billionaire superhero as his father figure, just like he had! it would be interesting to highlight both the similarities and differences in the relationship of Tony and Peter to that of Dick and Bruce.
How would they react to Spider-Man and the snap?!
I need someone to write this honestly, there’s so much potential here, I can feel it in my bones.
Peter Parker in Gotham prompt but it is wingfic Gotham. Not Peter Parker wingfic, but everyone else in the universe.
Everyone thinks someone cut some kids wings off, featuring batman trying to find peter, peter thinks batman is mad about him being a meta so hides and sneaking around, hides in an abandoned building away from weird bird people, rarely leaves his chosen "residence" but whenever he does he gets reverse mugged. Lots of concerned citizens, peter giving out heart attacks like candy by jumping off buildings, peter fits in much smaller spaces then everyone else, peter has to sew the backs of shirts closed due to wing holes, peter has no idea why everyone apologizes to him when they see him. Pure chaos every which way.
There could still be a "Dick is Pete's dad" thing in there, right? (because even though I generally prefer adult Peter Parker, I can't say I'm not enjoying all the family feels with the DC crossovers)
Also, there would be basically no chance for Peter to keep a secret identity with his clearly missing wings, right? And I'm not gonna lie, that would be such an interesting twist that to my knowledge has not been done before. Civilian hero Peter. He could still make himself a suit (it's better for aerodynamics and all), but yeah, basically everyone would know since his abilities and non-abilities would stand out so much.
And he would probably have so many questions for the others. "Are your bones hollow? Like a bird's? Are you really light? Do you need to clean your feathers regularly? Do you lay eggs? Can you still fly if your wings get too wet? Do you have bird like instincts? And on that note, do you eat spiders????" - possibly asked while slowly backing away 🤣
ALSO ALSO, do the wings that people have differ from each other?
Does everyone have the same kind of wings, or are we using all kinds of wings?
Would Dick/Nightwing have owl wings? (silent flight and further connection to that owl cult that's after him)
Batman with batwings? (Would Batwings be rare, causing Bruce to don some kind of disguise wings in his civilian get up, or would batwings be just as common as other birds?)
Then Damian's wings could be like a Fruitbat/Flying Fox. (Also vegetarian, and has a slight canine resemblence, linking up with his later alias as Wolfbat)
Pretty sure the others could get linked to different bird species as well. (If I knew lots about birds anyway.)
IF Peter's body adapted to the new universe by popping some extra spider legs, he could do a flying spider move and use some webs between the extra legs to glide some distance. (After he is done freaking out about the new legs and all that I guess)
Of course, he doesn't have to get new appendages, either wings or legs. Him just being unique in that universe would be really interesting too.
(also I'm still also headcanoning that Dick is his dad there and at one point he wraps Peter in his big wings and that image is just really wholesome to me right now, okay?)
Don’t mind me posting this on here when I thought I already did…? Whoopsie daisy, turns out I haven’t been posting my fics on here so brb doing that right now.
You’re Gonna Go Far
Chapter 17: You’re just a ghost, maybe at most, a fragment of my mind
Summary: “So the what? Want to fill me in here kiddo?” Tony prods, suspicion filling his metallic tone.
Peter grins at him.
“We’re going to see dad.”
Tony nearly falls from the sky.

WARNINGS:
None that comes to mind actually, damn.
Hope ye enjoy xx
Peter felt like he was in a trance. There was no way it could be him, yet it was. That suit, he would know it anywhere.
The familiar crank of the metal plates shifting against one another, the familiar beat of the arc. That voice, god.
Shouts were surrounding him but he wasn’t paying them any attention. Tony was down there. Tony was down there, on the stage with the fallen debris, and they may take him away from Peter.
He couldn’t let that happen.
The family were all watching with varying degrees of concern from their seats, Bruce already making his way to the wreckage. None of them were paying much attention to him. Good.
Peter knew what he had to do.
He checked back and forth, when he deemed no one was watching, he scaled the wall with practiced ease and clambered onto the ceiling. Steph swivels her head at that moment and is met with an empty seat.
“Pete!” Steph cried out, but he was already too far ahead. He made his way over to Tony while shedding and webbing his fancy suit to the ceiling.
Thank god he brought his hero suit underneath.
He pulled on his mask when he was over head of Tony. Everyone was too fixed on him to even notice the spider slinking across their heads. He still made sure to keep in the darker parts, just in case anyone did happen to take a look up.
“Woah. Hey, I mean no harm. Are you seriously pointing a gun at me, me?” Tony cried incredulously, hands waving in front of him.
Security had come over, all brandishing their weapons. A man in his late fifties shakily holding his gun out towards Tony. Still hadn’t spotted Peter slowly creeping overhead.
“Sir you have the right to remain silent.”
He took a quick back glance to his family, where he sees them all frantically waving at him to come back. Jason is practically hoping in his seat, Duke’s the only one who cheers him on. He shoots a web towards the shattered dome of the roof.
Peter manages to whoosh himself out the remains of the dome and onto the roof of the place. Without missing a beat, he attaches a web to Tony’s suit and tugs him along.
Tony goes with him as easily as butter. He hears the jets power on and suddenly they’re above the theatre face to face.
“What now, seriously—“
Tony stops when he sees who he’s about to give out to. His suit falls to the roof Peter is standing on and he steps out of it with tears welling up in his eyes.
“Kid.”
Peter doesn’t know who moves first. Tony holds Peter as if he can’t believe he’s really here in the flesh. The feeling is mutual.
“Kid.” He sighs out, cupping the back of Peter’s neck. “You’re here, you’re really here.”
Peter couldn’t get any words out, only motioning a ferocious nod. Tears wouldn’t fall from his eyes but he was shaking like a ship against a storm, and he was terrified he would sink.
“Tony…how?” Peter marvels as he steps away from him.
“Well. Your lovely, little stone was glowing like mad so I may have gave it a light tap and now I’m here.”
“You really are here.” Peter breathed out. He still didn’t believe it, couldn’t believe it. His heart was going a million miles per hour. He imagined this moment many times in his head.
He never imagined Tony would fall through the roof, more so break down a door.
Then a thought crosses Peter’s mind.
“Did you do anything that would set off the stone?”
A guilty look crosses Tony’s face.
“We may have given it a tad too much Wakanda juice.”
“Define a tad?”
“Probably two more injections than we should’ve but it’s ok because I’m here now.”
“Yeah but for how long.”
Tony sucks in a breath at the reminder of his imminent departure. Nobody stays forever from his world, well, except for him.
“Reed was doing some calculations and he estimated that if one of us were to ever venture into the stone…five minutes tops? So as we’ve surpassed that I’m not really sure.”
Peter nodded against the tingling at the back of his skull.
His senses were warning him of nothing, but not something dangerous. Something—
His phone sets off in his pocket. He’s got a dozen unanswered text awaiting him, demanding to know where he’s at. He has every intention of answering them but when he sees who the missed call is from, he stops in his tracks.
Selina.
He goes into their chats and ignores Tony, who’s taking the least subtle look he’s ever seen before at his phone screen.
Dick’s awake
He stares at the screen before his hand cracks it in two.
“WOAH! Parker you alright?” Concern radiates off Tony but Peter’s too busy trying to do several mental calculations on how this is all going to work out. Oh god.
“You said you could hear my thoughts in the Stone.”
Tony gives him a careful nod.
“You ever hear me mention a Dick Grayson?”
Tony’s face fell at that and a sour puss takes root.
“Only a gazillion times. What’s the deal with him anyway. I also heard you mention him and his aristocratic family.”
“You said you don’t get jealous easily.” Peter accused with a knowing smile.
“Me? Jealous! Ha, no, not at all…but seriously who is this guy and his stupid rich family.”
“One, they’re not stupid. Two, you’re also rich?”
“Yeah, but I’m classy rich, they’re tacky rich.”
They could back and forth like this for forever and a day, but Dick had just woke up, and Tony could leave any minute.
“Listen I’ll explain all of it on the way but right now we need to go to the hospital.”
That got Tony’s alarm bells ringing.
“Why? Are you hurt?”
“Nope.” Peter said with a smug smile as he began to swing towards Dick.
“So the what? Want to fill me in here kiddo?” Tony prods, suspicion filling his metallic tone.
Peter grins at him.
“We’re going to see dad.”
Tony nearly falls from the sky.
Dick wakes up to a beeping noise. His head hurts like fuck. He slowly moves himself from the bed and away from the bright, fluorescent light shining right in his face.
He’s in a hospital. A fucking hospital. Something is very wrong if he had to be brought here, usually the Bat Cave is where he would reside if he was injured.
In all comes back to him in bursts. That creature at the zoo, Peter fighting it off, Dick being knocked on his ass. God, Peter.
When Dick saw that creature beside Peter all he could do was scream. He had never felt fear like that before. Then the mountain of dirt was thrown at him.
His head hurt even more now. He sat up fully and surveyed the room. He was put in one the size of a cubicle but he was on his own. Small mercies.
He had a window and his door was ajar. Flowers graced the windowsill while ‘get well soon’ cards littered the bedside table.
A calendar hung up on the wall opposite to him but since he couldn’t tell what date it was, he rendered it useless.
Selina comes barging in then. She wraps her arms around him. He catches her and pats her on the back.
“Oh Dick we were so worried.” She ushered out. She then smacks him on the head. “Don’t ever do that again!”
Dick rose up outraged. “Pet—“
“SPIDer-Man. Spider-Man had it covered.” She raised an eyebrow and did a not so subtle shake of her head towards the door.
She lowered her voice then. “People are swarming out there. You don’t know who’s listening.”
Dick took a gulp of the water beside his table. His throat feeling suddenly dry.
“Is he…is he ok?”
Selina gave him a knowing smile.
“He’s a great fighter, he held his own. He’s doing fine.” She lowered her voice to a whisper. “His not meta advanced father on the other hand has been out for a week.”
Dick’s eyes widened at that. “Shit.” Then it dawned on him. “I missed Cass’s performance, didn’t I.”
Selina bites her lip. “Yeah, but she won’t….”
She trails off, mouth gaping while she stares at the window. Dick follows her trail of sight and watches as his son hangs upside down while trying to jimmy open the stuck up pane.
“Stupid, old, lock.” He hears Peter mutter before finally wrenching open the window.
“Spider-Man. What are you doing here!?” Selina narrows her eyes at Peter.
“Sorry Ma’am but imma need to borrow your son real quick.” Peter deepened his voice to an almost ridiculous level. Selina had to cover her mouth to not let out a laugh. Whether it was from Peter’s voice or the son accusation, he didn’t know.
“Spider-Man how are you?” Dick diverts the conversation. He just has to be sure Peter is alright. Besides, it’s not suspicious if he asks Peter that question. It’s polite banter, gotta look out for your neighbourly vigilantes.
“I’m fine…?” Peter asks confusedly. “Am I suppose to not be…?” He can almost see Peter calculating the list of potential injuries he could’ve sustained.
“It’s just you were fighting that creature.” Dick elaborates but his heart steadies, he’s alright, Peter is alright.
“Oh!” Recognition wakes on Peter’s face. “No sir I am A-Ok but I actually need to bring you to the roof real quick.”
“Nice one Spidey.” Dick laughs, but then he see’s Peter is serious.
“Oh you’re not joking.” Dick lets out a sigh but throws the covers off of him none the less.
“Selina can you cover for us?”
Sleina rolls her eyes. “If Bruce comes back you two are in trouble but yes I’ll cover.” She shoos them out but not before she mutters, “Thr things I do for you Bats.”
She shakes her head affectionately so he assumes they’re all forgiven.
Peter helps Dick manoeuvre himself out of the cramped window. He precariously balances himself on the window, waiting for Peter to make the next move.
Slolwy but carefully they make their way to the roof top.
Once they reach the top Dick is slightly out of breath. He sits down on the curve and watches as Peter bounces up and down.
“So Mr Spider, what brings us to the roof.”
“I believe that would be me.”
Tony was on his own when it had happened. They had injected a higher dosage than they normally did.
He was spinning in his chair mindlessly. Relaying every possible sum or theory about how Reed’s plan could even work.
The man uses a chalk board for Christ’s sake.
Reed has somehow, with the help of Johnny relaying his expedition of ‘Metropolis’, found out the co-ordinates of where Peter should stand. Stand and do what you may ask?
Reed has plans to build a portal device that can travel one thing to another place.
See Tony finds that all fine and dandy except for two things.
One, Reed’s only ever tested that over a few metres and on an apple.
Two, they’ll need Peter to have a device too.
Reed’s solution to combat that is to send Johnny back into the stone. Which was a ridiculous idea. Only reason Johnny got unit the stone in the first place was because creatures, who were called ‘Shrikes’ decided to attack Johnny first.
Those creatures practically kidnapped his brother-in-law and he wanted to send him back into that?
Johnny was pretty much begging for Reed to let him go. Determined to get Peter back. If anyone should go back into that stone it should be Tony.
He idly span a pen on his finger.
His mind replayed a montage of Peter over and over again whenever it was his turn to watch the stone.
Guilt threaten to swallow him whole. The whole thing, he did for Peter. Yet Peter was still swept away from him.
Tha train of thought was abruptly stopped when a voice sounds from the stone. An almost screechy noise. He’s on his feet within seconds.
It doesn’t sound like Peter, but god what if it was? He reaches out to touch the stone.
One moment he’s reaching his hand out towards the stone, the next he’s falling through the sky and ruining some girls show.
Then Peter had attached a web and bright them outside.
Sfae to say Tony nearly had a heart attack, seeing him in the flesh, something he thought he’d never be able to do again.
Now he’s safely sitting on a hospital’s roof while waiting for Dick. Who names their kid Dick? That should classify as abuse.
Yet, he has to at least play nice for the sake of Peter as this is his…father. He’s heard many names, whispers of unfinished thoughts and random things unfurl in the air around the stone.
The names that were particularly mentioned were Dick and Jason.
One who was Peter’s dead dad and the other who was Peter’s dead uncle. Dam, can his kid ever catch a break? Can he even call him that now.
That thought lasts for all about two seconds until Tony vanishes it. Of course he can, Peter was his kid first.
Tony hates the waiting game. He had nothing to do but stare and relay all the information Peter had given him.
Tony didn’t know how much time he had left in this world. It could range from days to seconds.
Yet here he was waiting for sleeping beauty when he could be spending time with Pete instead.
When they eventually emerge from whatever shoe box bed he wa being held in. Superhero his ass if they didn’t have a designated med bay. What if Peter were to get hurt. Unbelievable.
It was like a sucker punch to the gut. Tony wasn’t going to try and deny that Dick wasn’t actually his dad…just heavily insist on another blood test.
There was no denying it.
Peter may have been taken from Dick’s rib. Same build, same face, same stance. Only thing different was the colouring. Dick seemed to shine in front of Peter, Tony knew the feeling.
He then decided to introduce himself.
Dick’s head immediately snapped to attention. He looked at Tony and quickly got off the ground before pushing Peter behind him.
Tony scowled at him.
“Spider baby isn’t yours to keep Dickims.”
“Peter who is this?” Dick eyes him up with caution and quite frankly, a bithcy up and down. Two can play it that way.
“I’m his mentor and foster father. What, he didn’t tell you?” He says mockingly. He swears he sees a vein twitch on Dick’s temple.
Peter steps out from Dick and gestures to the both of them.
“Dick meet Tony, you know who he is. Tony meet Dick, you also know who he is.”
They don’t stick our hands, they barely even breathe.
For the sake of Peter they give each other nods.
Peter claps his hands together. “Well this is great. I need to call Jason and tell him where we are. I’ll leave you two to it.”
They both stare at Peter in alarm before protesting but he’s already scaled the building.
It’s an icy cold stalemate. Narrowed eyes and quick, dirty glances are thrown at each other.
Tony lets out a sigh and rubs his two eyebrows together. They were really doing this weren’t they.
“I don’t like you.” Dick says outright.
Tony gives him a sharp glance up. The air stills for a moment. He really looks like Peter, it’s uncanny.
“The feeling is mutual.”
Tapping of feet, eyes not meeting each other, they really were the picture of healthy communication.
Guess it’s Tony’s turn to break the silence.
“So we both don’t like each other. Who cares. What we both care about is Peter, so let’s be civil.”
“Ok, fine.” Dick sighed out. “I can do civil.”
“You say that with your arms crossed by the way.”
“Ok so are we doing civil or not?” Dick questions accusingly.
“Can you blame me, you’ve pretty much kidnapped my kid.”
“Your kid? I’m sorry but he’s also my kid, and no I didn’t kidnap him.” Dick snaps.
“Yeah well he was mine first.” Tony whips back, fire crackling up his spine.
“That doesn’t matter.” Dick exclaimed, hands finally coming uncrossed just so he could wildly flail them about.
“It does when you’re trying to take my kid from me.” Tony shouts out. So much for civil.
“Has it ever occurred to you, that that’s what you’re doing to me.” Dick jabs a thumbs his chest and lets the venom seep from his voice.
It stops Tony from his retort, because no, he’s never even thought about it like that before.
Dick scoffed.
“Yeah I didn’t think so.”
He rakes a hand through his hair. The guy was in a coma for a week. Tony could cut him some slack. This was his kid too as much as it pained him to admit it.
“Ok. We both want what’s best for Peter? Right now that’s severing his connection with the stone.”
“Yeah you’re right. Well what’s the game plan?”
“Game plan.” Tony repeated incredulously.
“What?” He asks defensively.
“What are you, five?”
“Younger than you gramps. You have wrinkles not even Botox could fix.”
“Says the man who’s wears spandex as a costume.”
“Why? You jealous I can pull it off still while you wear a tin suit.”
They look at each other with scalding looks before regaining their maturity once more. For the sake of Peter of course.
“There’s a device we’re currently working on. If you have a lab that I can access, me and Pete will be able to build it.”
Dick sucks in a breath before ultimately deciding to tell Tony this too secret info.
“We have a cave.”
Tony has to physically bite his tongue.
“That’ll have to do.”
Dick nods once at him before hollering at Oeter that they had made friends. Dick then looks at him funny.
“Spit it out. I’m on a tight schedule.”
“How did you know I wear spandex.”
“Peter told me.”
Dick smiled. “Of course he did. Little shit.”
Tony shrugged, gearing up for the words that are about to spill from his mouth.
“I doubt he meant in that way, although that wouldn’t surprise me if he did. I think he mentioned it as he was proud you both had the same horrendous fashion taste.”
Dick looks stumped at that. Tony can’t blame him, he was too. Hearing his kid sing Dick’s praises had tilted his world off balance. It was pure genuine affection.
“Oh.”
“Yeah oh. Don’t worry I’m building him another iron spider when we get back.”
“Oh that’ll be so cool.” Peter awes from somewhere behind Dick.
They both jump at the noise and see Peter wave at them.
“Have you guys stopped fighting now?” Peter asked while making a web yo-yo.
“We weren’t fighting.” Dick rushes out quickly.
“Yes we were.” Tony replies at the exact same time.
Peter levels them both with a look.
“Well whatever the case, they’re waiting for us at the Bat Cave. So come on.”
“What’s your plan to swing us there?” Dick asks while taking a cautious step from Peter. Peter waves him off.
“Nah. Too obvious and barely enough trees to swing from in your estate. Tony will fly us there while you and Selina catch a cab. Sound like a plan?”
With no objections to be heard Peter clasped his hand together and grins like a mad man.
“Right. Let’s do this.”
“So what exactly are we building?” Tim asked, waving a screwdriver willy nilly.
Tony, who was currently sketching out the plans, passed the rough, rough sketch to him.
“A device that will transport Peter from your dimension to ours.”
Currently every member of the Wayne’s and Co were around the table. Their reactions to Tony had varied upon meeting him.
Damian had stopped viciously brandishing his batarang five minutes ago so he took that as a sign he wasn’t the keenest on Tony. Selina looked apprehensive from where she sat but she soon moved closer once the plans of tinkering began.
Steph and Cass kept whispering amongst themselves, throwing the occasional look at Tony.
Duke and Tim now stood by him, Dick and Tony. Both putting their input on how they’ll make this thing actually work.
Bruce stood at the opposite end of the table with Jason, both of their arms crossed.
Jason had a look on his face as if he smelt something rotten.
Babs and Selina stood on either side of them.
Babs slowly edging closer to the plans as she deemed Tony no longer a threat.
“And how do you suppose we go about this?” Babs asked, now by Duke’s side. Sliding the sketch towards her direction.
“Building it is not a problem, it’s the materials that we need.”
“Well what do you need?” Asks Bruce. He seems concerned. Not because of Tony, but because of what he brings with him.
He brings the finality of what this situation really is. Peter is going to go home in a matter of weeks and the fallout will be…not good. Let’s put it like that.
Dick would be, sad, inconsolable maybe, but in time he’d move on. They all would.
Tony looks at him and adjusts his sunglasses. It’s an essential part of Tony Stark, Peter was told a year ago. That he must always have his sunglasses.
Tony had told him that with a dead, serious expression. He then proceeded to sit on said sunglasses, effectively breaking them.
Tony now carries sunglasses made of some strong material, he won’t tell Peter exactly what, and he takes them everywhere he goes. He surprised they made the cross dimensional journey.
Tony takes an assessing sweep of the lab.
“You use that much.” He points over to one of the many vehicles. This one just happens to be a plane.
Bruce gives him an odd look. “Rarely.”
“God. Bats, we’re gonna need to deconstruct that.”
Everybody gave each other a look. Once Bruce gave a nod of his head, they got to work.
Alfred watched with absolute horror as they dismantled the plane.
They were each giving roles and specific instructions on what exactly they needed.
They each partnered up. Surprisingly, Dick and Tony paired off together. Each settling at the table, deep in conversation. Bruce settled amongst them, harsh whispers flowing in each direction.
He heard his name being mentioned during their little discussion, so he was quick to climb into the pilots seat and get moving with his task.
With a crowbar, he managed to dig off the top of the plane’s control panel.
He heard footsteps approach before Jason shadowed at the entrance.
“Mind if I help?”
Peter nodded and began to dig through the assortment of wires. He was looking for a double X capacitor.
“I can’t belive you can make sense of all this.”
“I know the wires can be confusing but you get used to them eventually. We’re looking for a chunky black box.”
Jason stared into the abyss of black that was hiding underneath the wire. He gave Peter a look.
Peter snickered. “You’re just being thick.”
Jason rolled his eyes. “Yeah I’m being stupid when there’s thirty million little black boxes but nooooo. I’m el stupido.”
“El stupido?”
“Shut up.”
They continue to dig until Jason clears his throat. The hairs on the back of his neck stand up to attention at that. That noise never means anything good is about to happen.
“Listen, I heard you know about what happened.”
It takes Peter a second to figure out what he’s talking about. When he does, his throat goes dry.
Oh.
Jason ploughs on ahead, disregarding Peter’s silence.
“It’s just. Tim told me you freaked out a bit and I wanted you to know that if you had any questions, I’m here. Or if you ever want to talk about anything, especially about all of this shit, I’ll listen. Promise.”
“This shit?” His throat cracks and he quickly shoves his head down, refusing to meet the unrelenting gaze of Be-Jason. Of Jason.
“Yeah you know, with Tony and Dick. Pete, we all love you and whatever your decision is, we’ll understand, we all will.”
Peter breathes in heavily and nods once.
Silence once again reins control of the room before Peter has to blurt it out. He has to say it. He needs to say it, just in case he’ll never get the chance to again.
“I’m sorry.”
Jason looks up from where he’s weighing up two cubes of plastic.
“Sorry…?”
“I know you’re not him but I’m sorry none the less. I should’ve…I should’ve listened.”
“Pete.” Jason says heartbroken.
“No, no. I’m ok now, swear. Just, had to say it incase….”
Incase this thing does work, and I’ll never see any of you guys again.
He hasn’t worked out the schematics with Tony yet, but by his understanding, this is a one time journey.
If he does do this, then that’s that. He won’t ever see the dull hue of Gotham again.
His heart throbs painfully. There’s so much he has to do. Main priority is getting Bee’s shop looked after, he can’t just leave it there to rot.
Jason has worry etched all over his face but continues his work. “Well I’m here. Always and I want you—AHA!”
Jason stretches his hand triumphantly up in the air, waving about the desired block.
“I FOUND IT BEFORE YOU YA LITRLE PUNK.” He smashes a slobbery kiss to the box and Peter shoves him hard before laughing.
Soon the plane looks as if it has gone through several wars. With everyone chipping in, it had only taken three hours.
He’s surprised they managed to do it this quick, especially since it’s heading for three in the morning.
Now is where the fun stuff begins.
Slowly but surely the circlular arch is built out of scraps and bits and bobs.
With the help of not only Tony and Peter, but Tim, Duke and Babs, they build this thing in a matter of hours.
Duke and Peter work on the base while Tim and Tony do up the arch. Babs hooks everything up to the compute and runs code after code. Alfred brings cups of coffee and biscuits all throughout the process.
Dick naps away lightly in the corner. Moving and stretching every now and then. Bruce itches for patrol but chooses to say out.
Since it was Cass’s night of dance, Harley, Ivy and Kate were on patrol. He’s never met Kate before and it crosses his mind that he might never meet her. He lets that thought wither before he screws the wrong things together.
They run into one slight problem towards the end.
“Liquidated hydronic. We need at least three liters of it. A couple of more things as well, I’ll make a list.” Tony decides as he begins to scribble out the needed items.
“I can get some.” Babs offered, an ominous undertone present. “Might take a while for everything though.”
“That’s alright. We need time on our side to build it’s twin. Reed should have it up and running in no time.”
“I can’t belive you managed to build this.” Steph waved about the scrap. “Like seriously.”
Cass looked pretty impassive, her and Damian perched on two stools far away.
“Well it still needs some finishing touches. First off, I need the toilet.” Tony announces, wiping the grease away from his hands.
Alfred leads him up the stairs while the rest chatter away.
“He doesn’t look like what I imagined.” Damian announces as Peter makes his way over to them.
“No? What did you imagine.” He asks. He never gave much of a description of Tony. Just the basics.
“Taller.” They both said at the same time.
“I don’t like his chin.” Cass muses. “He keeps scratching it.”
Damian nods at her. Peter’s never noticed that before.
“Damn and here I—“
Bye…
He felt that rush once Johnny left his word. Peter bolts upstairs. He knows which bathroom Alfred would bring Tony to, the same one he was shown when he first arrived.
Peter bangs at the door but no answer. It’s locked from the inside.
“Master Peter!” Alfred questions appalled.
“Mister Alfred, is Tony in there?”
“Yes I—“
He doesn’t get time to finish his sentence. Peter kicks down the door in one fell swoop.
Tony’s gone. The only thing in his wake were his pair of sunglasses, casually left to the side.
He knew Tony would go quick but he didn’t imagine it to be this soon.
“Jesus.” Peter breathed out, scrubbing his face viciously.
Alfred stood shell shocked by the door.
Tony was gone.
“HOW COULD YOU LET HIM THROUGH THE STONE!?” Reality shrieks at her. Her hands zooming throughout the air at inhumane speeds.
“It is one thing to shout it, is another to berate sister.” Soul hissed at her, pure poison in her tone.
“It is one thing to taunt, it is another to torture.” Reality fired back.
“The boy will die Soul, you’ve ensured that.” Time said morosely. “To bring his love and rip him away, that was a tad fun. To bring this To-ny and rip him away, that is another thing entirely.”
Time gave her a look, Soul didn’t return it.
“Then to send that deformed creature after him.” Space starts.
“I DIDN’T SEND IT.” A voice came out of her that wasn’t her own. Her face cracked in two and her eyes glowed. She quickly regained her composure and backed Ordour to the depths of her mind.
They all looked taken aback.
Mind held a hand to her chest. Space was cowering in behind the shadow of her husband.
Reality stood firm while Time gave her the dirty eye.
“Regardless of which of your eight personalities sent it is irrelevant. The matter of who allowed Tony to pass through belongs to you.”
Soul looks away at that.
“What had you me do instead Sister?”
“Leave him there. You grabbed him from the mirror and threw him back. It is not only lacking in tact but also in sense.”
Soul rubbed at her temples.
“Please not this again.”
“You are remembering her magic every time you use these.” She kicks her leg in the water surrounding them. She didn’t mean the water but Soul heard her loud and clear.
“Luna did not have my powers.” She rose up to Reality, fire igniting in her chest.
“No she only borrowerd them, and made her creature be able to cross lands and seas.”
“Not to mention dimensions.” Time added snidely.
Soul threw her arms out. “ENOUGH. I need to think, leave.” She points her fingers at the far side of this soulless place. They all comply without comment but they may have well threw pitch forks at her.
She plonks herself down in the water and thinks.
God, she really shouldn’t have brought Tony here, but in her defence, she wanted to do a nice thing before….
She can’t even say it.
She had seen him, looking at her prison. She had felt a wave of sorrow, his soul shining in his chest, a pale blue drenched with unshed tears.
She could see the colours of people’s soul, a strange part of her gift. The colours meant different things depending on the person. However, there was no mistaking the sadness etched deep into this man’s soul.
So when he reached out, she let him in. She only wanted him here so she could bring Peter to this place but that didn’t happen. Tony went all the way.
She can bring people in and out of this place as easily as she may but she must have a way into their soul. A mirror, a puddle, glass, any reflective surface that is close enough to her desired person and all she has to do is reach out and take them.
Johnny was a weird case. Yet she could take him as Peter was the mirror of his soul. It sounded very romantic when she said it like that but it was the truth. Her son was the mirror to her soul.
When Peter snapped, he was looking into the stones. When the light occurred, all she had to do was reach out and grab.
She remembers the first time Luna had showed her this.
They were both in the tea chamber, a special place where she would ogle both her grandson and her.
She lifted her meticulously done nails to the cup before pouring it on the table.
“My Shrikes, they’re like you in a way. Although they swarm to any evil.”
Soul watches her carefully across the table. She swirls her finger around in the spilt liquid.
She doesn’t elaborate further.
She just kept spinning her finger around and around and around.
“Do you know how they travel?”
She shakes her head.
“Oh course not. They come out of any surface that reflects. See.”
She picks up the dainty teaspoon and smacks it on the tray.
Three seconds go by when a scaley hand makes its way out of the tray. The creature rears its ugly head and her son screeches.
“Shh. Shh.” She soothes while eyeing the creature with distaste. A parasite is what that was. It was no longer human.
“Hm. These creatures are marvelous dear. It is time he got used to them.”
Soul leaves that memory be, what happened next haunts her every waking moment.
She closes her eyes and sobs. Peter will understand, he will understand, he will understand.
Peter felt good when he was swinging.
When he was out, with air harshly coming towards his face and the thrill of the catch, nothing could bother him.
Not the thoughts of Bee, Tony, Pietro, or the looming threat of no return.
He was in his own head but not like when he was sitting and staring at his ceiling. No, nothing like that.
The only things that was missing, was a ball of fire rolling towards him. Who would’ve thought he’d ever miss Johnny.
Dick, true to his word, let Peter go out with Duke on patrol.
Safe to say they were having the times of their lives.
They were currently eating a bag of chips they got from a local stand and sitting on the roof across from Wayne’s Enterprises.
“Seriously, I can’t believe February 30th is a date over here.” Peter munches out between handfuls of chips.
“Dude, seriously not that strange. What’s weirder is your leap day thing.”
“Nuh uh.”
“Uh, yuh huh.”
“Duke.”
“Peter.”
“How sketchy is that van with the eight men waddling out looking right now.”
Duke turns to where he’s pointing and grins.
“I’d say a 9.7. Parker, I think we got a catch.”
“Well Mr Thomas. Race ya.”
Peter’s off and away again where his thoughts aren’t that loud and his heart is filled with static. The good kind.
Peter now knows why Signal is mostly a daytime hero. That yellow suit sticks out like a sore thumb. He surprised the men don’t see them in the shadows.
The men whisper between themselves, looking back and forth, the perfect picture of innocence. Then one by one they slowly make their way into the sewer?
Duke and him share a look. By the time the last ones plonked down their curiosity has peaked.
“Should we call this in?” Duke asked, even though he was already making his way over to the edge.
“We better.” Peter said mock seriously. “This is too big of a job for little old us.”
Duke nods before jumping down into the alley, Peter hot on his heels.
He carefully maneuvers the lid of the sewer up and away.
“Bets?” Peter suggests as he watches Duke move the grate to the side.
“An inhuman crocodile. You?”
“Hmmm. I’m thinking killer clown.”
“Good choice.” Duke agrees before making his way down the ladder.
“Five bucks to the winner.”
“Two.”
Duke pauses and looks up at him incredulously.
“What. I’m incredibly broke.” Peter sniffs at him, nose hanging in the air.
“Incredibly stingy more like it.”
Well, he wasn’t wrong. With that note, Peter makes his way down behind Duke, settling the lid above his ahead while also settling his fate.
Tad dramatic. It’s not like they’re in the most populated, villainous city in the world…oh wait!
He plunges into the smell of dung with his positive attitude.
Extra Thoughts: So…what do we think?
TONY WILL COME BACK! I promise, this was just a little segment of the beginning.
Next chapter we’ll see from Bruce’s or Dick’s perspectives of their chat with Tony while deconstructing the plane. Peter didn’t spend too much time with Tony or we didn’t see Dick and Tony with Peter but yet again, he’ll be coming back. I hope it was enough of a filler for now!
Next chapter will come out……sometime. I wanna do some other fics first but there will be another update next month. I just don’t know when. This will include, Peter and Duke and what they find and also Peter in Bee’s shop. THAT’S ALL FOR NOW!
Also…guess who got a beta reader!! Thank you AutisticDragonHudrates9 who offered, so yay! So that’s fun and new.
Guys, stranger things obsession is back at full force, what do we think so far? I’m loving Will being more front and center, you know. ALSO IDK IF BYLER WILL HAPPEN IM JUST HAPPY WILL ACCEPTS HIMSELF! ALSO DUFFER BROTHERS DON’T YOU DARE GIVE WILL A RANDOM BF I SWEAR TO MOTHER MARY AND THE DONKEY…and that’s my rant over, so yeah I may write a Byler fic…? Perchance.
Also wrote a fic about Scott Summers being a parent after watching X-Men 97, another amazing show.
ANYWAY, hope ye all have an amazing week and share anything if you’d like :)
i think it would be fun to start combining aus for fics that i don't see too often. my next Peter Parker in Gotham fic is gonna be Peter dealing with the Bats who are in a wing au universe and Peter is trying to figure out social cues and shit (already on hard mode because he is autistic) and he keeps getting them wrong. he doesn't realize that he accidentally implied he lost his wings somehow and now all the Bats are internally freaking out thinking some Trauma happened and he's being seriously chill about it
I've stumbled down the Peter in Gotham rabbit hole and I've never been the same. Currently I'm on the whole Dick Grayson is Peter Parker's Biological Parent kick along with the Peter contains (part of) the Soul infinity stone. If I were combine these two many misunderstandings may arise for angst, drama, and comedy.
Apologies for my ramblings of this ridiculous possible fic idea.
Isekai'd protagonist Peter Parker is sent to Gotham a few months after the events of No Way Home. He enters Gotham as Peter NOT Spider-man.
Curses his Parker Luck™ and navigates around. -> Bat fam is not going to be involved much in the beginning until shit really hits the fan <-
Won't be spider-manning but that ain't going to stop him from helping the little guy. Since we are combining the soul infinity stone plot, Peter's eyes turn golden at time when he unconsciously uses the stone's abilities. (If you see my vision, you'll know where I'm going with this.)
Peter tries to keep a low profile but he does end up making a bit of a name for himself. It's not until a Gothamite catches wind of eyes that they get terrified and think he's a rogue talon. It doesn't help that the spider bite messed with Peter's thermoregulation (idk if it's canon but I do see this from time to time) so they see that he's vulnerable to cold weather.
Dick is away on a space mission when all this is going down. (I remember a comment on one fic that said Dick's life changing events happen when he's in space. Peter can relate.)
Rumor reaches Bab's as well as the Court of Owls too.
The court sends someone who gets bested in a fight with Peter but they survive being terminated on the pure chance that they got a bit of his DNA. Guess who it matches? Gray Son of Gotham
It's not until the talons are being spotted all over Gotham that puts Peter in the bat's attention.
The bat fam pretty much think Peter is a rogue talon that was raised as a replacement for Dick. Dick’s horrified that his son (his son!) ended up taking his place and trying his hardest to bring Peter home. They think that Peter's abilities are all from the Electrum enhancement. (Wrong) Peter is ignoring and evading the court and the vigilantes while helping out a person or two.
The stone just cranks his spider-sense to over 9000. It will take a while for Peter to realize that he can talk to ghosts cause of this since their visibility can't be distinguished from the living. (Souls are tricky!)
