An AU where Morty Smith ends up stuck in the Marvel universe, after another incident of portal fluid making its way onto his body- although this time its such a large quantity of it that it is almost impossible to fix.
Leaving the portal fluid to mix with his body + DNA and essentially make Morty into a living breathing Portal gun. He's able to travel through universes by just shooting out portal fluid through his hands or body.
After the incident, he's unable to control his newfound powers and accidentally ends up in the Marvel universe. He finds friends in a boy named Peter Parker and a mentor in a famous man named Tony Stark.
The question remains though.., Will Morty be able to get back home? And if so will he even want to go back?...
Irondad spiderson but its Peter slowly picking up Tony's nervous tics and specfic fidgets-
Like my favorite thing Tony does is when he has the arc reactor in the movies you can see him tap the reactor and stuff and I think after he got it removed it developed into him just rubbing his chest/where the reactor used to be as a way to soothe himself or as a nervous tic.
And i love the idea of Peter somehow subconsciously doing the same thing, where he just rubs his chest in that slow way when he's focused or concentrated on something. Not even realizing he's even doing it either.
There are other little things I think pete would pick up on but this one is my ultimate favorite.
Genuinely cannot think abt peter and his realtionship with his aunt and uncle too hard because then I get too emotional to the point I get a little sick.
ANOTHER Peter Parker in Gotham Au idea but this time I change it up a little from the usual tropes.
Note: That uh I dont really talk much about any of the batfamily- if more than in passing than anything. I do not have faith in myself to be able to accurately depict them so.

SURPRISE, IT'S A SPIDER!!
The idea of Peter Parker newly 20 smth yr old getting sent into the DC universe, ending up in Gotham in some way, shape, or form- wether it be because he gets ressurected into the universe or even just getting sent there by something like Dr. Strange or someone who can hop dimensions or universes. Whatever.
Point is Peter gets sent to Gotham, builds a new life there while simultaneously trying to figure out a way home. He tries his hand at the scientific route, looking into anything he can that'd be helpful- but sooner or later he realizes it won't work. So after building up his name as Spider-Man in maybe both NYC and Gotham- (because lets be honest, this universe may not be his but he'll always be born and raised in Queens. Those are his people. Even if theyre not really his people.)
He ends up searching in the world of magic, asking around for anyone free who can help him out- maybe get some advice on wether or not he can get back home. If he’s wasted his effort on something he's spent his whole time doing once he had gotten settled in.
He ends up figuring out, somehow, that he is indeed stuck in this universe. He cannot go home. He is now this universe's One and Only Spider-Man.
And he deals with it. Just like he does with everything else that's happened to him.
He grows up, makes allies and friends, becomes a well known and respected (even sometimes feared) vigilante in both NYC and Gotham.
He's gained a lot over the years which sadly also include his own rouges and villains.
They go the cliche route. They want to kill Spider-Man so they do the only thing they know makes sense. Make another.
But this time, this spider will be trained. Will listen to their demands and orders. Will follow their rules.
And they go to an old cemetery, dig up a young boy's body. The boy was maybe 7 or maybe 10 when he had passed along with his Mother and Father in a car crash, his father being heavily intoxicated.
They have a couple metas and magic users in their merry little band and end up ressurecting the boy. Some in the group questioned why they would dig up a kid. Children are impressionable. If the ressurection worked the kid would likely follow them and kill the spider with ease, no doubt. With the right training, of course.
Although, they didnt take into account on the fact that the body of the boy needed a soul to be brought back to life. And this boy's soul had long since passed on, leaving the magic user in charge to grab another version of his soul. An alternate version of it if you will.
Unfortunately, what they didnt realize was that the soul they'd be putting into the kids body was his much older and much wiser counterpart from a whole other universe.
Tony Stark.
So now, they had a fully fledged grown adult man in the body of a child.
And since it's Tony and his luck is off the charts awful. (One might even suggest Parker Luck) They end up torturing him, putting him through excruciating tests, and even getting Spider-Man's DNA into him.
A painful experience to say the least, his little body trying so hard to fight off the sickness that was taking over him. The group of villains and Evil scientists almost give up on him, thinking their test subject another fail (who knows how many deceased bodies they've done this to.) after he had been sick for weeks.
Until one day, his muscles strengthen. His eyes sharpen. His hearing impeccable. His sense of smell off the roof...
His hands..
Sticky.
When Tony realizes what's happening for the first time. Locked in a white, cold, cell. He cries. He cries like he hadn't done in years. He cried like he was eight years old again, which in actuality was true. He was eight years old again.
It was terrifying.
He wonders, briefly before pushing the idea so far out of his head that he almost forgets, if this is what Peter had felt like after getting bit by that Spider.
He remembers talking to his mentee momentarily about it. Curious about his origins. Peter had gave it up pretty easily. Well almost. It was more of a brushed off side comment than anything.
But Tony remembers how Peter said he'd been sick for weeks before he felt stronger. Better. Unstoppable.
And Tony cries for Peter. For himself.
He doesn't know what's happening or where's he at. His brain is slower. Well. Not too slow considering he still is Tony Stark, after all. But he realizes that he keeps slipping into the mentality of his eight year old self. The mind of the body hes inhabiting.
It makes him feel weak, and small. Makes him feel terrible. Sick.
Days, weeks, maybe months pass by him. He doesn't know how long he's locked in there. Doesn't know how long they'd kept him there before he had even woke up.
Time slips away from him. He grows quieter as the days pass. He stops trying to fight back.
They don't care what he has to say anyway.
Sometimes he'd wish they had let him stay dead.
It isn't until he hears a slam, gunshots in the distance, and yelling that he perks up.
He wonders. If maybe someone had came to save him.
He's proven right when his cell door is beaten down, falling loudly onto the floor. Scaring him, he jumps and hops onto the ceiling. Hiding in a tight ball in the corner. (He suddenly understands Peter to a level he really didnt think he would be able to before)
He shivers. The cold draft from the room outside, breezing in.
His eyes immediately lock onto huge white lenses.
A red and blue suit.
A spider emblem on the chest.
Webbing all along the fabric.
And he lets out a horrible, heaving sounding sob.
The older Spider immediately faces the younger, and his heart drops. Understanding dawning onto him immediately.
"Hey, kid..." The broader, bigger, taller Spider speaks so low. So slow. So sensitive.
And Tony? He kinda loses it. Because that's Peter.
And Peter is older and Tony is younger and their roles are switched and he wants to laugh at the absurdity of it all but all that comes out is a loud whine, his eyes wide with panic.
The older puts his hands up slowly in the air in a show of surrender. "I'm not gonna hurt ya, swear.." His accent is thicker Tony thinks briefly.
"Pete.." He whimpers, his throat making weird noises he doesn't understand.
And Peter goes rigid. Slowly, so slowly he takes a step forward. Tony leans ever so slightly toward him. His small, so so much smaller hand reaching out. "Peter.." He mumbles.
But he knows Peter heard it. Because his shoulders flinch like a bomb went off. He regains himself quickly though, and takes slow careful steps toward Tony.
Tony can't see his face but he knows Peter well enough (Adult or not) that he can feel the recognition in his eyes. Can feel them roam all over his tiny frame, shaking like a leaf.
"T..Tony??.." He whispers. Like he's afraid. Afraid it's all some weird fucked up dream (Tony wishes it was, a little.) Like if he looks away he'll dissappear.
Tony knows that his face was always all over the news. It was pretty easy to look him up and get paparazzi photos of him as a kid. He hated that. When he was alive. In his old life.
And he knows Peter, for all his moaning and groaning he did to deny it, was a huge fan. He had to know what he looked like as a kid. He had to know that this really was him. Just. Smaller.
All it took was a search.
And Tony is sorta glad it's Peter. That found him.
He's glad. Even if it is a clearly older him. He would much rather him than anyone else.
He nods his head so fast he has to take a moment because he gets dizzy from the movement.
Peter's shoulders rise. To his ears. Tony can hear his heart beat. He hears how it beats loudly. Angrily. How his jaw tightens and his teeth grind. The very clearly contained sigh he lets out as he reaches up for him.
"Can I...Is it ok if I..?" He starts to question. Trailing off each time like he's unsure how to go about this. Tony gets it. He wouldnt know what to do either.
But, easily enough, Tony reaches out for Peter. Hopping slightly into his arms, looping his small arms around the olders neck. Peter tightens his own around his small frame in response.
"Shit. Of course, of fucking course.. Tones...Oh, buddy.." He hisses out the first couple curses, his tone swiftly changing into a softer timber. Slowly rubbing his back with his thumb, clutching onto Tony.
And Tony, whose been hoping for someone to come save him cries his heart out. His chest hurts and he thinks he might be sick from it but he can't stop. He had thought they were going to kill him multiple times.
He had thought he was going to die again. Before he had been able to give his new life a chance.
He cries for his old life. The life he left behind in order to save Peter and his family.
He cries and cries until he feels himself tire out. His eyes drifting shut as he sniffles. Wiping his snot on the Spider suit, hoping Pete didn't realize.
"Missed you, roos.." He mumbles before he drifts away into a dreamless sleep. Not registering the grip on his body tightening quickly before a soft kiss is placed to matted curls.
Literally the only reason i had this idea was because I finished s9ep9 of Rick and Morty and ive been obsessed with spider-man as of late so enjoy my concept doodles of this possible au!!:D
In my opinion this Morty did indeed get bit by a spider just like your regular Spidey backstory- BUT its more likely that it was something his Rick was working on for some fuckass reason.
Of course, he gets sick and then suddenly he starts gaining all these wicked mutations- He starts growing fangs, his hands start sticking to things, he gains a strength he's not used to, and hes started to protray more animalistic traits.
Now, obviously his Rick notices these symptoms. Rick starts asking Morty if hed been in the sub-basement at all, morty admits he had, Rick scolds Morty, yadda yadda.
They do a couple tests to figure out what's going on with him and more on his abilities- Morty thinks its cool as shit so Rick just leaves it alone.
Although now there needs to be a LOT more accommodations for Morty as well considering his heightened senses and metabolism now.
Bla bla bla Morty becomes Spider-Man in his universe bc why tf not ykwim?
Another Stranger Things/Marvel au but its (somewhat) canon to both timelines and its just another way to insert my big brother Steve propaganda along with my favorite mix of little brother Tony.
OKOK listen.
In the 80s- when everything is going down with the whole shitshow of vecna- Tony would be very close to age with The Party. Like legit.
And Steve would be older.
And it only makes sense, Tony and Steve as brothers. Theyre both widely headcanoned as Italian, Steve's parents never make an appearance and im not even 100% sure the names ive seen given to his parents in fics are Canon.
Not to mention the fact that Howard Stark was most definitely still caught up on the whole Steve Rogers of it all. Probably even more so when Steve was born. So of course the only proper answer was to name his firstborn after the man.
Now theres two ways we can go about this.
The first is that we can change Tonys childhood up a little and have it to where he and Steve did just so happen to go to bumfuck Indiana and therefore leading into the whole mess of vecna where both boys endure the trauma of it alongside eachother.
OR
Steve Stark ran away somewhere in his early teenage years, somehow made his way all the way to Indiana and ended up squaring himself away in some house a rich couple still pay for but never visit anymore.
He doesnt talk about his parents so that no one catches him in his lie, successfully somehow changes his last name on his documents to get away with it all, and even changes his whole life.
He lives by himself. No one knows who he was or who is. He'd like to keep it that way.
Plus it leaves some good angst material between Tony and Steve. Tony getting upset with Steve for leaving him when he was little but growing up realizing it was the best thing Steve could've done.
Not to mention, Steve? He knows he's not smart like his dad. He's good at people, sure. But he doesnt got the brain for sceince or engineering. He knew what Howard would do once he realized Steve wasnt worth his time. So he just..quickened the process along.
Steve heard and saw the news about Tony, 14 years old and going to MIT. He felt so bad for his baby brother but he didnt know what he'd even do or say.
Steve goes through some of the worst and most traumatic years of his life in Hawkins.
Tony ends up finding a friend and also acquiring his new public persona.
Ykw would be an absolutely hilarious Peter in Gotham plot?
Jameson getting sent to Gotham with Peter and essentially like adopting him and them having a great big heart to heart and Jameson switching tactics of slandering Spider-Man to slandering Batman (and maybe the rest of the gang too just bc he feels like it) bc holy fuck are these vigilantes way worse than what hes ever tried to pin on spider-man.
-but instead of Jason being Uncle Bens alternate self (or anything batfam being related to peter at all)- Peter finds out that actually theres a man who looks, sounds, acts, breathes, smells just like uncle Ben that works in some low down shithole of a bar as a bartender.
So Peter goes and does what any normal teenager in a new universe with no one who knows who he is, and stalks his alternate uncle.
At first he just thinks its some guy who is a version of his universes uncle. Then somehow he does smth that was so uniquely his uncle that peter goes on to like going through this guys files and paperwork and like hacking into the government to see if somehow this was his uncle and not another version.
Turns out that this man turned up in Gotham with no records whatsoever, no name in the system- nothing, four yrs ago. The year that he would have gotten shot.
The report of the case shows that Ben was injured, gunshot wound that could've killed him- nearly pierced his lung. He probably has a scar.
Peter ofc has a panic attack with this information because all the signs are currently pointing to the fact that this could be his uncle from his universe but had showed up here when he had died and got to live!!!
So he does the rational thing and enters the bar Ben works at, steps in right before closing time and watches as his uncle cleans the Bar.
He just stands and watches for a minute before Ben catches his eye and-
He recognizes him. He remembers him.
And all Peter hears is his uncle uttering his name before he bursts into tears like he was 6 yrs old again after a bad nightmare.
He ends up moving in with Ben who lives in an apartment above the bar. He helps get peter an identity with some connections he has made (he's like bffs with Gordon) and he enrolled peter in school and obvi they meet the batfam at some point but Peter gets his Uncle back and he gets to be Spider-Man and thats rlly all that matters to him..
Peter Parker And the Ever Pressing Matter Of Grief.
Mild tw: talks of grief and mentions of death and other various details. Just in case.
It's always a weird feeling, peter thinks, watching people around you grieve someone you know you're supposed to grieve as well.
But.
He guesses that maybe it's different.
He doesnt really remember his parents.
Sure he remembers their faces, Facebook memories and photo albums help cement what they looked like. How they smiled, what they looked like mid laugh.
But he can't remember specifics.
When he hears people talking about their deceased loved ones, they mention the sound of their voice. Their laugh. Their favorite movies and books. Their interests and dislikes. Their favorite food and favorite spot to rest.
He never really understood all that, though. He was too little to really understand what was happening. Sure, in his little kid brain he knew something was wrong. Hell, when he was at their funeral he remembers sobbing so loud and hard it hurt.
Everyone had pitied him.
He just remembered being confused and scared around all the other sad adults in the stuffy church.
But he doesnt remember those things. He feels like he should, maybe. They were family. He spent his childhood with them, so why was it so hard to remember what they sounded like? The color of their eyes off the top of his head?
He doesn’t really get it until Uncle Ben.
It was different in a way.
He was old enough to understand death and the consequences it had.
Maybe it was different because he was there.
While his Uncle died in front of him.
Watching him wither away and he couldn't do anything to stop it.
After that he understood a little more.
He remembers after Ben died he got to stay home from school. It was September when he died. A month after his birthday.
He remembers how quiet it all was in the following days and weeks after.
He remembers the funeral and he remembers the rows and lines of cars that showed up. Men dressed in uniforms. His Uncle was a good man.
He remembers how it felt, sitting in the funeral home, unable to stop the tears that shed. God, he remembers how sweaty he'd been in just a simple button up and a shitty tie he kept trying to loosen up. He felt like he was suffocating.
He remembers feeling embarrassed, crying in front of so many people. He hated it. He tried to hold his breath for as long as he could.
He remembers getting shitty coffee from the coffee machine he barley understood how to work from the small lounge area the funeral had.
He remembers how it felt wrong to laugh at all the good-hearted stories and his elders reminiscing.
He remembers watching them lift the casket. He couldn't remember if he went up to say goodbye or not.
He doesnt think he'd want to either.
The following months after were different. Things at home were quiet. Like saying the wrong things would lead to tears. Making the wrong move would cost a sob.
School was no different when he had to go back. He didnt tell anyone about Ben. Didnt want the attention, the pity looks.
He remembers drifting through the days after, the months following getting easier as they went by. Slowly but surely.
Peter wonders what his uncle would think of him. He cant be sure. He hopes that he'd proud.
He wishes he could say he knows he would be, but sometimes Peter feels like he would be disappointed at the life he's living. At how he was watching him from beyond the grave. He hopes he isn't sad when Peter is taken under Mr. Stark's wing.
Sometimes Peter thought that he was slowly forgetting the man.
He's worried that one day he wont be able to recall the feeling of sitting with his uncle eating shitty cheeseburgers and eating ice cream. Or that he wont remember the way he'd clap his shoulder. Or that he wont remember how he felt so safe around the older man.
He doesnt want to forget.
Peter understands what it's like, though now.
To lose someone.
Someone you remember and praying and hoping to a God you dont even believe in that you dont forget them.
Hoping that theyd be proud of who you became in their absence.
Watching someone die, right in front of you though...,
Peter will always remember.
The cold concrete under his knees, the warm red blood seeping through his hands turning sticky and cold, the sound of the heartbeat he'd connected to his uncle slowing to a pitiful stutter and stop, the smell of iron hot in his nose, and the tears in his eyes blurring his uncles small smile, and the sound of Ben taking his last breath to mutter a soft reassurance.
Made a post awhile back about how I think it'd be an interesting concept for Peter to make an AI based off Tony and somehow Tony's soul gets like dragged into the AI so he's basically a living AI/Robot.
And what if I said that it'd be an ever crazier idea if All the Power and Knowledge Tony suddenly had as an AI would lead to something like an Ultron event but instead its just like Peter brushing it off anytime Tony shows any sort of hint at being conscious or to the fact he might become Evil.
Another thing is I imagine in the beginning Peter and AI Tony's realtionship is a lot like how we see Jarvis and Tony in the IronMan movies. Not to mention how I think Peter would absolutely do anything- And I mean anything to insure nothing would happen to AI Tony. He already lost one version of him, he cannot lose another.
The idea of AI Tony always having Peters back, making sure any sightings of spider-man w no mask on is immediately erased, ensuring his safety, completely erasing any evidence that could get Peter arrested or found out.
And Peter not even realizing it either.
I think it would also be a rlly interesting concept to explore in Gotham as well.
Peter gets sent into the DC universe, is able to make it on his own after a couple of months without getting found out by the Bats and even starts creating an AI heavily based off Tony, learning how to code and much more just to be able to create him.
Using audio clips from whats left of what he can find from his tore up suit, Karen helping patch anything up as much as she can. Even though she's not much help considering theres nothing she can rlly do to help.
Eventually Peter ends up successfully creating Tony and he's...Way too...Realistic.
Sometimes Peter lays awake at night and thinks about if the AI is actually Tony's spirit.
And on some occasions he absolutely believes it.
AI Tony helps Peter cover his tracks when the Bats finally get wind of a new vigilante.
They try so hard to be able to catch up to the spider but every time they get close, an error pops up on the computer or, hell, a virus. Which shouldn't ever happen.
Its like a game of cat and mouse but instead it's bat and spider.
AI Tony ensues Peter's safety wether Peter likes it or not. He will not lose his kid again. No matter the cost. And Peter will not lose his dad again. And he'll make sure no one can take him away from him.
Me when i get yet another crazy very niche idea for a crossover au concept and I just know no one will ever understand my vision because its the most obscure idea that ive never seen anyone else ever even think of or talk abt so im left daydreaming abt what scenarios would play out

And what would make it even more better would for somehow Tony's soul to possess the AI pete makes and just the hilarity that would cause its just cherry on top honestly
