….between Justice-dono’s ability to spot a person’s tells, and Athena’s ability to hear the voice of someone’s heart…there’s no way any self-respecting scientist would let such valuable subjects escape…

"U-uhm...yes... T-they've been here much longer than I have. Why...? Is that a problem that they're here?"

He seemed rather concerned about the two. It made sense to her why he was concerned about Athena, given the past, but Apollo... That was a little strange to her.

"Oh! You found Athena? Good, I’m glad you haven’t been by yourself. She was one of the first people I found when I got here too and it made things a little better you know? Familiar faces."

"That storm was nothing short of awful. I’m glad you’re alright though Juniper. I heard a lot of bad things happened to people during the storm, but you’re safe, that’s good."

He watched her fidgeting about, same Juniper as always. She’d always been so quiet and sweet, a thankful contrast to some of the people in the city. That and she was his friend, he was always glad to find a friend.

"I’m been here about…. three months I think…?"

"M-mhm. I found Myriam too, but...I c-can't find her anymore... A-and yeah. Familiar faces are...always helpful..."

She trailed off a bit after that last part, heat returning from it's initial calm and lips turning up in a smile. It was obvious she was thinking about how nice it was to see Apollo again, though probably not to the man himself.

"Oh t-that's because I...didn't go out much in the storm. I stayed inside l-like told and tried keeping warm. I...I hope you did the same and s-stayed safe..."

"Three...months? A-ah! T-that's a long time, Apollo... H-how are you h-holding up after that m-much time...?"

"Still a bit of a nervous nelly, hmm? Though, I suppose I can’t blame you given how we first met. Regardless, rest assured that I’m as much an unwilling guest of this place as you."

"W-well... I-it's not so bad here, really... I-I mean the big s-storm is gone and all. I've...talked to Apollo a-and Thena too s-so...it's better than being alone here."

"Hey! Juniper!" Apollo knocked at her door, box in hand, handing it to her to open once she'd answered the door to him. "Since you like to knit I thought you might need a spare pair of needles. Happy Valentine's Day!"

Juniper blinked at Apollo standing in front of her door. She'd just been over at his apartment, and her cheeks went a bright red when she thought about how she'd bolted as soon as she'd given her gift. But here he was, giving her something. Hands shaking a bit as she took the gift, she opened it and gasped, staring at the knitting needles.

"T-thank you...! T-they're perfect..." A smile was plastered on her face as she radiated a red heat from her cheeks, staring happily down at the gift.

"I...I did it!" And ran away afterwards but you know, details.

"Even when I wasn’t around. I mean, look—" She stretched out her arms and turned around her own axis. "This isn’t the States or Europe, it’s some kind of weird social experiment. We’re still together, though!"
