How long do you reckon Steve clung onto the side of the train after watching Bucky fall? Did so much time go by that one of the Howling Commandos decided to check on what was going on and found him curled against the wind, head pressed against the cold metal and sobbing? The fingers beneath his gloves turning white from how hard he was gripping the handle. Because if he moved from that spot it would be real. He would be admitting that Bucky was gone; was being left somewhere on the side of a mountain and Steve was being carried farther and farther away from him and there was nothing he could do.

Steve stayed on that door long enough for the side of his face to freeze to the metal. He stayed on that door for 73 miles until the SSR stopped the train and The Commandos and three other soldiers had to physically tear him from it. He was quiet for about ten seconds. Then he started slamming himself into the side of the train, punching, kicking at the metal. He carved an eight foot crack into the side of the car with the shield before twelve guys could pin him down in the snow.

Fic authors deserve more credit.

Story time: I started a book about 23 hours ago and just finished it. Also in that time I slept for 10 hours, spent time with family, was at work, etc. Anyway, I enjoyed the book (Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda). But it felt like it flew by, so after I finished I looked up the word count because what are pages? Pages are meaningless. I only function in word counts anymore.

The estimate I found was 58,580. My immediate reaction was “oh, that’s why. That’s nothing!” But what a shitty response. Because no. That’s not nothing. That’s a whole. Damn. Book. An entire novel! And Fic authors regularly bust out 30k, 50k, 100k, 150k words. AND THEY DO IT FOR FREE. WHILE WORKING AND LIVING THEIR LIVES.

So anyway, thank your favorite fic author today because they deserve it. Because they’re amazing. They’re the MVPs.

This is awesome. With that said, huge appreciation also to fic writers who write shorter fics - 10k, 5k, 1k, 500 words. Because yeah, huge long fics get a lot of love, and a lot of labour goes into them, but the same is true for tiny fics as well. Not everyone is banging out huge great novels, but little ficlets are fantastic and still bring readers a ton of joy.

So if you’re feeling a bit downcast because you can’t write that 50 chapter epic or your latest WIP is “only” 2k and it still took you ages - that’s amazing. Seriously. Not everyone is naturally wordy or prolific. And you can say a ton with just a few hundred or thousand words.

Props to short fic creators - you guys are awesome.

The Crown Spoilers

To everyone saying that Keadlyn shippers are just saying negative things about the crown because we are sour that she chose Eikko, I want to say that this cannot be further from the truth.

Keadlyn should’ve been the endgame. They had great chemistry, sweetness, humor, sparks and romance! Even Eadlyn thought so in The Heir but then she went all insta love in 4 seconds with Erik which was predictable, boring and lacking little to no chemistry. The majority of us I think including Eadlyn lol loved Kile. Seriously the majority of us loved him on insta, Twitter, tumblr, epic reads, YouTube etc. Most of us are devastated but at least we have Maxerica ❤️!

I feel that somehow all of us got ripped off Including (Eadirk shippers). I would’ve needed to see how Eadlyn fell in love with Erik but their love seemed so rushed I just couldn’t feel it! I know that most of us would have wanted to see more of them to try and maybe have a justification for their “love”.

I loved how Eadlyn was able to sacrifice her happiness, so Kile could live out his dreams. But why would she sacrifice Eikko’s happiness so she could rule a country that she all of sudden decided she would love to rule. She was passionate about dress designs and couldn’t she have abdicated her thrown eventually to Kaden?!

I think a lot of us are also upset that this series was supposed to be a fluffy love story but then it turned very political. There was so much emphasis on a new character, Madrid, that we did not get to see the characters that had been developing over the years.

Why did we barely see Aspen, Lucy, Marlee,Carter, Ahren, Camille, Kaden, Osten, ?! Again it is because there was to much new info thrown at us.

Why was there no happy ending for Lucy and Aspen? They should’ve adopted a baby they always dreamed of!

I tried to love Eadrik but MY heart will always be with Keadlyn

America thank God you survived and MAXERICA lives forever!
