“Papa!” Jonah shouts. “Hola, mijo!” Carlos shouts back, his hat off because he knows the drill – TK and Jonah will get hit in the face with the brim when they embrace him if he keeps the hat on, and lord knows Jonah’s had enough of things hitting his face for one day. “What are you doing here?” TK asks. The nice surprise is making him laugh. He hurries along with Jonah, and Carlos jogs to meet them halfway. Sam casually saunters along behind. Playing cool and corporate, Carlos answers, “Well, sir, when you informed me of what happened, I thought we'd better take a detour and check out the scene.”

“No!” Jonah shakes his head, so TK sits back and waits for him to finish before returning to wipe the rest of his mouth. “Wan’ more apples.”

“Okay, you can have a few more,” TK laughs. “Just try to eat your honey instead of wearing it, okay?”
