after reaching the café, she couldn’t help but to send him a text.
message from vousmevoyez → i’m here now!! i– are you there yet or should i get a table?
Given that his day had been full of unfortunate events, Sungyeol began to doubt that the remainder of the day would go well.
Not too long ago he had been ecstatic to start his day, for today was the day that he finally got to meet her. Her being the girl he had taking quite a liking to over the past few weeks. Though he had only recently acquired a computer, and though it had taken him a while to get the hang of it, he was certainly glad that he had. Though originally he had intended to use said computer for his job, what with photo editing and the like, he had recently found a new purpose for it. A new hobby, per se.
Ever since he had began his life above water, Sungyeol had always been fascinated with books and literature. Books had been one of the main things that Jungwook had shared with the young boy. Though recently Sungyeol had discovered that he not only enjoyed reading books, but also writing literature himself, and so he had decided that he would heighten his writing abilities. Though part of him only intended to become a better writer for recreational purposes, there was also a part of him that hoped to use these skills to perhaps increase his job performance. There was always the possibility of doubling up as a photographer and writer for his job at the news press.
In an attempt to hone his abilities, he had began writing online. In doing so, he found himself meeting all sorts of new people. One of these people however, he had grown particularly close to. He found himself talking to her more and more often, and he had grown quite fond of her. And now, they were finally going to meet in person.
Though meeting this girl was certainly a great reason to be in high spirits on this day, many events led up to the boy finding himself afraid that the day would not go well at all. Firstly, after he had already left his apartment, he had came across a homeless man. Without hesitation, Sungyeol had reached to grab his wallet, only to find it missing. He was reluctantly forced to return to his apartment and grab it, only to find the man had left the spot by the time Sungyeol had returned. Though the boy was in a rush, he still made the time to locate the homeless man and give him a bit of money.
Checking his phone, he noticed 2 unread texts from Krystal. It was at this point that he realized that he was late to the meetup. He had hoped to arrive before her, but any chance of that had now been thrown out the window. Not wanting her to think that he was ditching her, he quickly sent a message back.
message from leesungyeol → i’ll be there in no time! sorry for the delay. go ahead and grab a table, i’ll try to be there as soon as i can.
Not wanting the girl to wait any longer than need be, Sungyeol began to run. He wasn’t the fastest of runners, though he certainly was not the slowest. He could move quite quickly when he truly wanted to. In a matter of minutes, he found himself exhausted, though at least he had managed to make it to his destination. On top of all things, he now had his hair to worry about. He quickly tried fixing it with his hands, in one last-ditch effort to actually look decent today.
Once inside, he spotted her immediately. When he did, he found himself growing nervous of what was to come. Was he ready to meet her? He wasn’t sure. Though deep down, he knew that he wanted to meet her more than anything else right now. Pushing these thoughts aside, he slowly walked her way. Once he had reached her location, he found himself speechless. What was there to say? A simple ‘hello’ would not do. Though what else could he say? It was these thoughts that kept him standing there, silent.
