001. ARIEL.
âThirty-Thirty minutes?â Ariel choked, scrambling for a menu and a pitcher of water, âOh gosh! Iâm so sorry about that.â Heâs been waiting 30 minutes??? What were her sisters doing! She placed the menu infront of him, pointing out the specials as rehearsed, as she filled a glass of water for him. âWeâre usually better than that. Would you care for some pie? Cake?â Ariel gestured to the display case of baked goods, trying to remedy the situation, âOn the house for making you wait so long!â
he felt a little bad. not too bad, but just a little. enough for him to break out of his tease as he let loose a loud laugh    ( was there suddenly an earthquake or did the windows shake on their own? )    «  i was just messing with ya, kid. iâve only been here 5 minutes. still havenât been served though so youâre still waiting on that.  »  he did listen to the specials being listed, having not remembered a single one, though he would act as if he did    --    he was just polite like that. however, at her offer, he chuckled, shaking his head in refusal.  «  relax, kid. iâve waited longer    --    nearly waited two hours for a some roasted duck down in hong kong once! no need to make anything free, mânot a poor man.  »
