STARTER CALL. // @thamvos
The Priest turns to look at her with a puzzled expression. She had been watching him, hadn’t she? Lost in a fiery daze, several beads of sweat line his brow-bone. Succumbing to the inferno that caused pins and needles on his tongue, his senses had been momentarily dulled by the red-hot plate of Mapo Tofu before him.
Every spoonful of the man’s tofu was equally perplexing as the last; how he kept going despite the sweat she could see from tables away. Her attempts to watch had been brief, passing, nursing her own food from several tables down. (It was poor form for a stalker to be too visible, after all) It hadn’t been often she ran into those she recognized from Fuyuki--and this one in particular she didn’t want to leave unchecked.
And yet he saw her--their eyes only locking for a brief second before Medusa returned to her own food. She didn’t so much grab the sushi on her dish as she did stab it before ripping it off its skewer. She stabbed another roll, and stole another glance.
Her mystic eyes were sealed, but she had to wonder how much her gaze could affect others yet...

“So they’re struggling with the case…? I see. Something like this does sort of interest me, if I’m being honest, but I don’t want the people I care about to get caught up in the crossfire of it.”
“I think there’s some space in my room. A-And I know our contract here is technically void and meaningless, but… It would be better if we stuck together.”
“That may be for the best. I can handle the extra commute. Fibonacci is well...like that, even if the housing isn’t in the thick of it for us newcomers.”
“It’ll be a good opportunity to see the rest of the city from a resident’s perspective!”
Policy Update (4/21)
Hello Isolans!
It’s been a while since our last big policy update, so we hope you all can bear with us for the length of this one! Topics this time range from a few reminders, to clarification on reserving characters for mobile games, as well as a few new things to consider for activity, and a couple rule changes regarding D&D rolls, canon doubles, and dash only blogs. We also want to unveil the beginner’s guide that has been being worked on for a bit now!
Find more details (TL;DR included at the bottom) after the cut!
updating my canon doubles policy to be group-compliant, heads up!
Nothing is changing but do know I’m extremely iffy about extra timeline medusa, just because while it is The Same Medusa Essentially I do worry my extella-specific castmates are left out because i don’t really...know all that much about the extella titles.
“Not this again...” Well at least it wasn’t shinji.

“It’s terrible… Have the police gotten involved at all…? Rider, please be careful… I-I know you’re a servant, but all of our powers are reduced…”
“They have, but from the looks of the news they have their work cut out for them. I suggest you do too--I believe there’s room at my place now, if you have no room at your quarters to keep me. It may do well for us to sick together, contract or not.”
“this can’t be good.” Humans are fools.

[TEXT] I am honored for your concern. [TEXT] Yet I must stress that you need not do so. [TEXT] Does it? I would be interested to hear of your equivalent.
Fine, keep your secrets, Aymeric. She had many of her own, so if it was so, it was so. Speaking of those secrets...

>> Very well. There’s many powerful spirits and monsters where I come from.
>>There’s many who even take the to another mortal’s body to do things...but that’s simply how it occurs in modern times. Long ago...there was much more mana around, gods could move freely. At least I believe so.
>>The ones of my land were....I cannot speak for their power compared to that of other lands, but there was much fame to be sought in hunting them.
>>for whatever reason.
>>it’s complicated.
> I do understand.
>>I assume by your desire to keep privy your experience, you’re able to handle it. But if you need anything, do not hesitate to call upon me.

“That sounds good! It’s been a while since I’ve had cafe food!”
Not that it was really any different from the food she and Shirou made, but admittedly it was nice having other people cook for you from time to time. Still, now that Rider was here, she would definitely cook for her servant a lot more. There was no Shinji to interrupt them and no looming threat of the Grail War, thankfully, so now she could spend time with her servant.
Sakura followed her servant, taking the seat that she had offered her. At the question, the lavender haired girl nodded her head and tapped her chin in thought.
“I don’t remember the name of it, but the way it functioned reminded me of this city… My magic locked there as well. N-Not that it really matters; I’m… not exactly what one would call a useful mage…”
It was both a blessing and a curse. Had she been useful, maybe she would still be with her birth family. Maybe…
Quickly, Sakura shook her head at the thought. She didn’t want to think about it. Not now, anyway. She could think about it later, if she desired.
“But yeah, I wasn’t there for a long time, I don’t think. I remember going back home… and then ended up here. Hehe, some trip, I guess. I’m glad I ran into you, though…! How long have you been here, Rider?”
“How cruel of fate to seem to make us split paths only to not cross....I think I was in the same city, just at a different time. I wasn’t there long before it just sort of...well, vanished. And a new one sprung up, and I’d been summoned straight away,”
Medusa sighed, looking over the menu. She had a fair idea what she’d choose at least...still, it was uncanny that they found themselves in the same place. She only wished things could’ve been more in-line, and that she could’ve been there for the last time.
“At least we’re here now, together. Did you have any trouble there?” There was so much she didn’t get to learn about that city--curiosity gnawed at her. It felt like such a distant memory having searched the ward with the man that she first met after the summoning.....a memory that felt too long, despite her status in the throne of heroes.
A waiter came orbiting out, though she wasn’t quite ready to order just yet, waiting for Sakura’s call.

When Rider confirmed that her brother wasn’t here, Sakura felt relief wash over her.
He wasn’t here, he couldn’t hurt her anymore. She hoped he would never come here, ever. She was at a safe haven in Shirou’s home and now, she had a safe haven in this city. Though, she has wished Shirou was here somewhere, then it could really be a paradise for her. No fighting, no war, just her, him and Rider. She lifted her head when she heard the rattling of chains, looking up to see Rider with her weapon, rather threatening at the idea of Shinji being here.
There’s a part of her that wants to let Rider kill him. There’s that part of her that would love to see Shinji suffer, but–
“N-No, it’s OK Rider! I… I don’t want Nii-san to get hurt. If he comes here, I can just avoid him. The city’s big after all, it’s easy to do…”
– It wouldn’t do any good. If this place was like the other city, then it was possible that the dead could come back.
Luckily, Rider’s next words allowed Sakura to move on from that topic. She widened her eyes, bringing her hand to her mouth as she considered it.
“You’ve… been here for months? That can’t be, I just saw you recently… B-But we can figure out that mystery later. This place is strange, but it’s… a lot like the previous city I was brought to.”
At the mention of food, Sakura opened her mouth to tell her servant that she was fine and didn’t need any food, but she was betrayed by the loud rumbling of her stomach.
“– I guess food does sound nice, hehe! Um, I’m fine with anything! We can go to the nearest food place, that’ll be alright.”
She had yet to see death’s impermanence here; though she had heard talk of it, she’d never witnessed it firsthand...or really knew anyone that said they died and came back. So of course eliminating Shinji felt like finality, felt like a fix all. Still, she obeyed Sakura’s wishes and made a note to not spill his blood on first sight.
Rider’s gaze darted around, hoping to find a place with seats...a cafe’s tables could be seen over a few heads and beyond some stands. Perfect. She walked in the direction of it, looking back to Sakura. “Hm, there’s a place we can sit here...It sounds like we have a lot to catch up on.”
She wove her way to a free table, offering Sakura a seat before getting herself sat down. “You were in another city for a time, you say?” She had...been in another one herself, though she wasn’t sure if her and Sakura had the same memory, just at different times. “Maybe we should start there...I want to know what you’ve seen.”

This was different than the last city she was taken to.
The last thing she remembered from her world was that she was staying with Shirou. When she had returned from the previous city before this one, she was right back where she was taken from. It seemed like the same thing was happening here. What in the world was going on?
Well, no matter. Her concerns was finding Shirou… and anyone else from her world who was taken here, of course. Truthfully, aside from Shirou, her concerns drifted towards Rider. Was she here? Was Shinji here with her? She… really hoped not. She hadn’t been able to really talk to Rider after she handed over her Master’s right to her brother, and she really wanted to speak to her if she was here by herself.
But did this city function like the last one, where servants could roam around without worries of not having a master?
Her journey had led her near the star trail, after she got settled into her housing and took a minute to think about the situation she landed herself in. Now, she was focused on exploring the area and hopefully running into someone she knew.
And it seemed like her wish came true. One of the, at least.
Hearing the familiar voice of her servant, Sakura quickly whirled around to come face to face with her.
“Rider!”
Quickly, the magus made her way towards her servant, stopping short when she noticed something… off. Rider was always a woman who concealed her emotions ( much like Sakura herself ), so seeing how she presented herself was… strange. Not unwanted, but she just seemed so worried about her. Had something happened?
“Rider… I-I’m glad you’re safe too. I just got here and I’m a little confused about everything… But I’m glad I found you! I’m worried about senpai, though… I hope he’s OK…”
Shirou’s strong enough to protect himself, but she still worried, mainly because he is the type to run head first into danger. A pause, her head dipping a little to look at her feet.
“Um… Nii-san isn’t with you, is he?”
Her quiet voice trembled a little. She hoped, she really hoped, he wasn’t here.
The tension in her expression was wiped clean off by Sakura’s words; though she was replaced with new concerns..she only wanted to reassure.
It’d been so long. It’d been so long and the last thing she could remember of her was the bond of master and servant, severed--
Medusa was here now, but being here now meant nothing to her, a servant could come back and back and back given the magic was there. She couldn’t say the same for Sakura; and it almost felt foolish for her to have abandoned her for so long (She didn’t have a choice, she never found her here, and--)
“Your brother isn’t here.” She placed a hand onto her Master’s shoulder. “He can’t hurt you here. And if he tried to show his head, and did....,” The threat of chains on chains could be heard as she drew her weapon. “I cannot do much, but I’m sure what I’m capable of...is enough.”
“I’ve been here for some time, now. I’ve had much to worry about here, but I worry what my absence has meant for you. ....If you need to know anything, please ask.” Her dagger was taken back to a more comfortable place, though in an almost mundane way. For once she was now oddly aware that she was looking at Sakura with her own two eyes, and not the magical imprint of Sakura. She blinked some, and instinctively took her glance away, as if staring too long would jinx it all.
“I’d be happy to talk about it, though, we should get some food. Is there anything you’d like?”
