I stand by the fact that we are trying here should have had more episodes, ah the things we've missed out in those limited 12 episodes. But there was something so lovely watching everyone watch Weather Maker and us understanding it's impact through the audience's reactions because phenomenal story telling speaks for itself and you don't actually need every little detail.

And so it still stands that I've never watched a show quite like this one, with its imperfect human beings and their struggles with themselves and each other as they strive to make something of themselves in this world where worthlessness is so unavoidable. What a breath of fresh air.

As much as I love and absolutely adore we are all trying here, I really think it could have benefitted from more episodes.

There's no way everything will be substantially resolved in the one ep left and there's also so much they leave unexplored on different plot points. In the sense I think the wrap up will be sufficient but not necessarily satisfactory.

I am at a loss for words whenever his story line comes up because there's so much to unpack there. The weight on himself and what that has done to dongman over the years is overwhelming really.

Still not sure how i feel about dong man's friend group. I get that the point is no one is perfect and dongman is also a challenge (he's not btw it's all a result of their poor treatment of him) but some of them are so mean to him and I don't think they deserve his friendship (except for junhwan). It's like eunah said he needs to be an environment where people recognise his greatness and give it back to him. kinda wish he'd have ditched them and found a different production company altogether.

but I get it, this is the point, for them to finally give him a chance and see his greatness, but I just don't think they deserve it.

People want novel characters and then can't handle truly complex, well written characters like hwang dong man.

I just realised something, and not sure how i brushed past it but euna and her nosebleeds and the suggestion that the mind is so powerful that she would will it to hurt others?? like a psychic connection?? is that what the show is suggesting?? Or is it more negative emotions we feel can transfer to others?? I assume it's the latter, but that's a whole other level of messaging to delve into.

every episode of this show leaves me so stunned and overwhelmed (the best kind) that i don't even. know how to channel all my thoughts into words. talking about it isn't enough, i need it all injected right into my veins

There's something so special about dong man and eun a learning about the other experiencing the "unknown" emotion and immediately feeling awful for the other because the person they care about is feeling something terrible, horrible, all encompassing, because they know how awful it feels and it hurts them to know the other is going through this.

The way they understand and help each other. This story, my god.

i think being hit by a truck repeatedly on an interstate highway on a winter's night would make me feel less than watching an episode of we are all trying here. i can't even process the levels of what i am witnessing.

wow i think we are all trying here is the first drama that's too much for me. it's spectacularly written, so human, it speaks to your soul. everything from the storytelling to the character building to the filmography is phenomenal. the actors should win each and every award, and even that wouldn't be enough.

but the rate at which it switches from happiness to sadness is insane. even the juxtaposition of "self-destructive" and "help me".

i have no words, i am only overwhelmed, but weirdly so locked in for the message it's trying to exhibit. but it's a lot.

when I think of hwang dong man, the word that comes to mind is "gentle". If you held him by the shoulders and shook him he would gently fall apart but if you mean something to him he'd gently offer his whole self to you, he would probably gently pick up the shattered pieces and offer them to you.

what a spectacularly written character. he's so human.
