These are leaf cutter ants! They harvest leaves to take back to their nest. They don’t eat the leaves but instead feed it to a fungus they tend to and eat. These guys are farmers and the leaves are fertilizer. Such fascinating little creatures!

am writing this with hope in my heart, even in a very difficult time.

I am an LGBTQ+ activist supporting transgender people here at Gorom Refugee Camp in South Sudan. Many of our trans brothers and sisters are struggling daily with fear, hunger, lack of safety, and no access to basic support.

We feel invisible sometimes, but we are still here, still surviving, and still holding onto hope 🏳️‍⚧️
