More toys from that one booth from the Owensville Watermelon Festival 🧸🍉
First is a variant of Taylor from a doll line I have never heard of until I went to the booth called Starr Model Agency. Apparently this toy line was produced in 1995 (that was the date from the stand instructions, btw) by a lesser-known company called JPI. According to a little paper that comes with the toy, the characters work for an in-universe modeling agency, in which five out of the six characters in the line were in some sort of “supermodel search” contest. Taylor, according to her bio, seems to be passionate about photography, specifically in the fashion modeling industry. I got her new-in-box, so she comes with all of her items.
Next are two action figures I got. On the left is Maxwell the Accelerator from Stone Protectors, an action figure line released in 1992 by Ace Novelty. This line is one of a few lines that seem to take inspiration from the Good Luck Trolls and was probably made during an era of Good Luck Troll knockoffs being in production (gonna have to do more research on that line). On the right is a figure from 1991 of Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the booth had a lot of TMNT figures) that features a gimmick where the head can be pushed down and you have to squeeze his legs for the head to pop up again. I remember seeing something similar with the newer TMNT figures.
Last and certainly not the least are some dolls my sister found there. There are two Boxy Girls characters (I definitely remember seeing commercials for this toy line. They would have originally came with some accessories hidden in boxes, hence the name) named Apple and Kiki, which only Apple had her original top; the shorts were taken from another doll at the booth and Kiki did not have any of their OG clothes, and a Magic Mixies Pixlings doll named Flitta (who was apparently a Walmart exclusive).
