I miss you.

I miss the long hour talks we would have on the phone. I miss feeling the softness of your skin, like a marshmallow that if I put even the littlest amount of pressure into, my fingers would sink right in. I miss your laugh and how genuine it was. It was never forced, you genuinely were laughing and I loved every second of it. I miss the way your hair felt in my hands, as I passed them through said hair with little to no effort. The little freckle you had on your face, right on the side of your neck. It was like a little target saying “kiss right here :)”. But most of all, I miss you. All of you. A year ago today, you came to watch me play the sport I’ve loved for so long. We were down 5 points and then I saw you showed up. You went out of your way to come visit little old me and cheer me on, despite how busy your day was. You’re such an amazing person and I’m sorry that our journeys have gone their separate ways. I will be everything I promised you I’d be and more, I just wish I could have been everything when it was just me and you, Sundrop.
