The one tricky thing about consuming media from any other culture or time is that you usually don't know if the characters are named:

John Smith

Percival FitzFancy

Extremely Decade/Era Specific Girl's Name

No One In Their Right Mind Would Name a Human That

Thinly Veiled Hint That They Are a Deity/Evil

And unless a character specifically references it or the translator helps you out, you just won't know. "Of course, Evil McEvilson was evil!" "How was I supposed to know that Vel Mevelkin meant that?!?"

Even just knowing if a name is common in that time, if it's a rich person or poor person name, if it indicates their parents didn't value them as much. So much meaning can be in names.

i just want to make one thing clear. in the same way that im willing to accept HS decision and move on with all of the guys and follow them on their separate ways. im NOT willing to accept the ot6 fan chant the agency proposed to us nor any of the attempts to erase a part of the group that has been there since day one. my loyalty and respect goes to the boys, to their hard work and their willingness to push through everything NOT to the agency who has only pushed the guys AND the fandom to their limits, because let's be honest, everything en- has achived is thanks to their hard work. the fanchant is something only the fandom can change, it's in its name fan chant and nobody has a say in it. So belift, you can take your "Changes to ENHYPEN Fan Chant" and shove it up your ass, thanks

my issue has never been Heeseung’s departure from the group. although it broke my heart to lose OT7 — and i mean it — my issue has always been how his departure was handled

i will stand firm in saying that he could have gone to Australia. it was not only tactless to him, but also to the members, who had to remanage a whole festival performance in just a few days, and remember — a festival overseas — where not everyone in the audience was their fan, and the criticism could have been harsher

i will stand firm in saying that en-o’clock could have continued to be aired — i am not even asking for a goodbye episode — but just allow us to see what had already been recorded

belift could and should have given Heeseung a proper goodbye instead of just removing him. it was the basic decency after almost six years of him being a member

and i understand the fandom being upset about this — i am upset too — but this whole seven or nothing attitude is just as disrespectful. Heeseung is as important to enhypen as Jongseong, Jaeyun, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Sunoo, and Niki are

their tour is for the very first time stopping in my country, and Billboard Brazil posted about it, but when i checked the comments, i only encountered variants of “go back and only come when you get Heeseung,” and no, that’s not it

whenever the members or their official accounts post, the comments section is filled with “bring Heeseung back” and it came to the point that it’s annoying. the members are having to relearn coreographies, remanage lines distribution, record a bunch of new content, and no one supports them anymore

some “engenes” are even demanding people to delete weverse and cut the contact with the members. they are demanding people to boycott Jay’s birthday. they are overanalyzing and putting the members against each other. and honestly, in my opinion, it is starting to feel like haters’ behavior rather than fans’ behavior

everyone may be different while reacting to this situation. i understand. but i kindly ask you to stop for a second and think if you haven’t stepped beyond the reasonable

i won’t lie. at the beginning, i did think Heeseung had no other option than to abandon the group. i did sign the petition and helped with the tags on Twitter, thinking the members had no saying in their career, but after seeing a few fancalls, it became clear to me that Heeseung did have a say in this and chose to leave and so i stepped back

not to mention that this fight had long stopped being for the members’ rights and is now just an ego-filling for solo stans

saying all that, i will stand by the side of the six members who, by the way, are giving their best to keep the group going and i won’t tolerate any type of mistreatment or boycott

hey so... im going to talk about the HS situation. it's been a little over a month and there's A LOT going on.

first of all, i hope everyone knows and agrees that all of this wouldn't have happened if the agency and the label had done things properly, like giving them a break, managing their schedules without over working them and not relaying on the guys to protect and speak for themselves in certain situations (like the whole jungwon and winter situation or jay's "dating rumour" thing). if belift had done their job NONE of this would have happened, but they decided to be lazy and keep overworking them without a break nor a chance to at least "recharge". like, they had to leave BTS's concert early bc they had practice or a schedule???????

also, i've seen some people blaming heeseung for "leaving" and calling him selfish, when in reality we don't know what happened, yes, maybe he decided to leave or maybe he was kicked out. regardless of what happened calling him selfish or self-centred couldn't be further from the truth, if you've seen iland or just watched any of their content you'd know that heeseung is ANYTHING but selfish, using iland as an example, he was the centre for MOST if not ALL performances he was in, they relied on him and belived that if hs was in their team they would win (which was true) and when they decided who was going to be EN- leader, he CHOSE to NOT be the leader bc he wanted jungwon to have someone to rely on and the members to have someone else to help them other than the leader, if he was really selfish he wouldn't have done ANY of this.

another thing, the whole boycotting-not-boycotting thing, this is not a black or white dilemma, there's no correct answear here why? you may ask, we've seen before that a boycot can be productive and have good results (Mark was a good example), but can also lead the company to just disband the groups (loona or g-friend). i respect everyone's decision on this matter BUT forcing people to do the same thing you do and calling them names for deciding to not participate on the matter is NOT OKEY. lately some people have been acting like haters and solo stans posting and commenting on EVERY POST and giving the sensation of "enhypen is nobody without heeseung" when that couldn't be further from reality. at the beginning the boycot made sense, it was to ask the agency for more clarity, for them to be open with us, then it was to fight for their rights, for the boys to have better treatment and to stop overworking them, but now it feels like it's just to "bring hee back" at any cost when WE DON'T KNOW IF HE WANTS TO, and to me that's more selfish than the idea of him leaving on his own accord.

i respect everyones way of coping and grieving time, i understand as much as the next person how difficult it's been because it's difficult for me too but, as someone who was partially boycotting (not watching new content, trying to stream as least as possible bc they are in ALL of my playlists and signed the petition at the star) is very hard to feel part of this fandom when you feel insulted and pushed out of a community you've been in for so long.

im ot7, ill always be, ill support enhypen AND heeseung or evan or whoever he wants to be because as everyone says "you can't erase HEEstory" so we shouldn't do that nor the agency NOR the fandom.

as jay said: "enhypen is enhypen" i decided to keep supporting the guys, all of them and hoping for what's best for them without causing any harm.
