well, yes. there was a time when i could not see my fullest potential, when was drowning in my own self hate and guilt.. i had reached my lowest point. there was a time i wanted to give up on life & say fuck it cause it was easy. got pretty close. i was slowly losing grip and watched myself spiral downward a path of emptiness and loneliness. i spent a lot of time alone

i numbed the pain with alcohol and weed, or whatever would escape my reality. i was afraid. i felt as if i was too weak to face myself. i separated myself from my situation and moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to start new. everything seemed to change when i met Kaf, my partner.

he gave me so much love, what i had been in search of that whole time; to be fulfilled. no man had ever truly fulfilled my needs as a woman, as a friend, as a listener, as simply just someone to look up to. he brought to life those suppressed fears and pains, and helped me overcome them and see them from a lighter perspective. he served as my reflection. i no longer craved the drugs, or alcohol, or desperate need of “something” i felt whole

i began to work on the real me, my inner self & pay less attention to what everybody else was doing. because ultimately, this is your reality and you are the only one that can control how you let it affect you. you have the choice to be happy or sad, isn’t that beautiful.. we have a choice. i really look up to my sun, he really has changed my life. this was my experience, everyone is different, but it all truly starts within, the foundation has to be pure and good to be able to grow. i wanted change
