Shed Skin | Shoichi & Byakuran
@sunshine-simulation
[txt]: How do you expect me to trust you?
Byakuran stared at his phone for some time considering the message Shoichi hisĀ ābest friendā sent him after heād approached him about the Curse of the Rainbow and Yuni chan and sighed. In a way the false god could have predicted such a Ā response after all Sho-chan had all the memories of their future of what Byakruan had done.
It was only natural, how the demon wished he was still that a heartless monster who could not care about such wordsā¦but he wasnāt.
[text]: I donāt.
Theyād have to seek someone elseās help about Verdeās machine that or Yuni-chan would have to talk to him herself. Byakuran could not do this.
He was wary, but could anyone really blame him?
Tsuna chastised his behavior, but Shoichi hadnāt meant for anyone to see his texts to Byakuran-- the other just happened to read it over his shoulder and wondered if the red-head was being a little cold.
The observation made him feel a little guilty and the sensation only compounded when Byakuranās next text came through.
[I donāt.]
The bespectacled teen frowned deeply.
Was this really the time or the place to bring this up? It was apparent that he wasnāt the only one who distrusted this younger Byakuran. Gokudera seemed to, for once, agree with his concerns, but Yamamoto and Tsuna trusted him...
But still.... They knew only that which theyād experienced. Shoichi was plagued by the memories and knowledge that heād been manipulated, lied to, tricked, and toyed with in several different universes and the emotions that came to him with those memories were a jumbled mess he didnāt know how to deal with right now.
The sense of duty his older self possessed was something this younger version of Shoichi had yet to develop. At this very moment, despite knowing he wouldnāt be able to avoid Byakuran forever, thatās all he wanted to do.
[txt]: Good. Looks like weāre on the same page then.
