Jiu Jitsu Instructor Lets Adorable Little Girl Beat Him
Not sure what youāre talking about. He obviously put up a good fight, but was clearly no match for her.
Sheās got mad skills for a white belt. Iād be fearful of facing her even now. Much less at blue
This might be the cutest thing Iāve ever seen
She isnāt cute sheās a fierce warrior that deserves only respect
how many horrible live action movies will it take for people to realize that animation is the best medium to have fantasy creatures because when everything is animated your suspension of disbelief works better
Ah yes. The good old āreverse uno cardā.
I fully understand that it's considered rude to sanitize your hands after shaking hands with a group of people, and I just want everyone to know: I'm not doing it because I think you're disgusting and I want to get your internet stank off of me; I'm doing it because I know the statistics about cis men washing their hands.
I'm a strong, capable adult. If I wanted to touch fifty dicks in a single afternoon, I'd do it myself. I don't need your hand outs.
holy shit does this one land differently in the 2020 coronavirus pandemic hellscape
Writing advice from my uni teachers:
If your dialog feels flat, rewrite the scene pretending the characters cannot at any cost say exactly what they mean. No one says āIām madā but they can say it in 100 other ways.
Wrote a chapter but you dislike it? Rewrite it again from memory. That way youāre only remembering the main parts and can fill in extra details. My teacher who was a playwright literally writes every single script twice because of this.
Donāt overuse metaphors, or they lose their potency. Limit yourself.
Before you write your novel, write a page of anything from your characters POV so you can get their voice right. Do this for every main character introduced.
My buddy read an article about octopus intelligence. It was feeding time, and the handler dumped some shrimp into an octopusā tank. Then he went into another room and sat at his desk.
A while later, a shrimp was tossed onto his desk.
The octopus, upon finding one bad shrimp in the lot, had grabbed it, escaped its tank, crossed the hall, and threw the expired shrimp at its caretaker. Not only does this showcase their problem-solving capabilities, but also that it could have escaped at any time. It just broke out this time to chuck an off shrimp in indignation at its handler. Thatās not just intelligence, thatās a human-like reaction. Kinda make you wonder exactly how smart these guys can beā¦
OH MY GOD
I went to the aquarium once and we had a tour and we walked past the octopus tank and it was duct taped shut so I asked why and the guy was like. āWell, we had a problem before because these fish were disappearing randomly at night and we had no idea why. Turns out the octopus had memorised the night guards rounds and would creep out of its tank, crawl across the floor to the fish tank, have a little snack and be back in its own tank with the lid shut before the guard came back.ā they are super smart
I love octopuses so, so much.
@_@
I am both delighted and FUCKING TERRIFIED.
Once I went to the aquarium where they had a baby pacific red octopus in a tank. I had gone there to work on a few real life sketches, obviously I wanted to do one of an octopus. So I kinda just kneeled in front of the tank, and started sketching. The octopus didnāt mind, he sat happily. Then, 5 minutes later, he started moving to the front of the tank, where I was. This tiny octopus faces me directly and starts posing. I donāt know how other to explain it but he started curlung his tentacles in this really graceful way then wouldnāt move for a few minutes. Then again, a new pose. That tiny cute motherfucker knew I was drawing him.
I strongly recommend Other Minds if youāre interested in this subject.
seconding that recommendation (the book is super accessible too if you read)

anyway the reason that we love pirates and sailors and folk who work the land, the reason we write about them, yearn to be them, code them as gay etc. etc. is because they live outside the confines of society and emancipate themselves through that exile and weāre all starving for that sort of freedom
Let me get this straight: in the original series, at the tender age of thirteen, Jim Kirk survived a eugenic massacre and witnessed the death of 4,000 people because of a food shortage, and in the āedgierā remake movies he spent his adolescence driving cars off cliffs?
I love knowing how to braid hair bc all the time Iāll be at work or in class or ANYWHERE with my hair in a braid and someone will be likeĀ āwait can you braid hair? will you braid my hair?ā and Iāll do a French braid or something and then another girl will ask to be next and I just think thatās really cute. Social exchangesā¦ā¦ā¦..when someone I only sort of know from a public space asks me to braid their hair Iām like Yeah, this is how humans formed societies
Hey OP can you braid my hair
yeah sure! and then if u feel like it maybe we can combine our hunter-gatherer family groups together and invent agriculture
Unpopular opinion but helping indigenous communities doesn't involve forcing them to abandon practices and traditions that have helped them survive for millennia just to to suit the morals and beliefs of outsiders, especially when those outsiders are white.
That's just called colonization.
Yes, this is about hunting and fishing and whaling.
bro i thought i was sooooo grown when i was 18 loool

I was in that house - that big, horrible house - all by myself. And I was scared.
