Possible Sunshine Siblings Week Schedule Change!

Hello there! We’re very excited to announce you all that second of SSW -a week dedicated to Himawari and Boruto Uzumaki- is coming up soon this year! 

However last year we received some feedbacks on the schedule and some fans adressed their concerns on the dates due to their school work. So we’re holding a poll to decide whether to bring SSW to an earlier date!

Sunshine Siblings Week takes place in 1-7 October, close to Naruto’s Birthday.

I know I’m late for it but here’s my first drawing for Sunshine Sibling Week that’s been pass due, I decided to do daddys girl. I know it’s not perfect but I thought the parallel with Hinata handing Naruto the medical cream would be cute!

Sunshine Siblings Week Day 1 : Momma’s boy, Daddy’s girl

These were for sunshine siblings week, day 1. I was so looking forward to this event, but I got sick literally when it started, and could not participate  TT^TT

In honor of Naruto’s birthday, here’s a mini-headcanon regarding the famous red scarf AND @sunshinesiblingsweek last prompt day, Time Travel/Future! (Shhh I know I’m late, please forgive)

I was thinking– Boruto and Himawari time travel back in time on the birthday right before Hinata and Naruto’s first time meeting each other (you know, the scene in the snow and Naruto saves Hinata from those bullies); what if they gifted the red scarf that gets destroyed by the bullies as well as inspired Hinata to give Naruto one as a present.

Originally, it was a small plan that the two would at least give their father past self a birthday with presents. But in fear of altering the time line, they simply leave the presents in front of his apartment; they did that and decide to go sight seeing around the village before going back into their time. Yet they end up running into Naruto later and in a small moment of weakness, both Hima and Boruto comfort the disheartened Naruto, wish him a happy birthday and Himawari leaving him the scarf her mother knitted for her, noting the chilly weather of October.

Bonus if Naruto ask if he’ll see them again and they both smile, Boruto answering that he’ll definitely will see them again.

Since I missed it before and I wanted the whole week done xD 

I had a lot of fun participating in this, Himawari is such a cutie and I totally love drawing her. Will totally do this again if there’s a next time.

Day 7: Future

This was incredibly fun to participate in SSSWeek! It’s quite an accomplishment on my part. Plus I got to draw everyday, which I haven’t done in a while. 

Anyway, a little info on this piece! 

After the events of the movie, Boruto has more respect for his father and eventually their relationship is mended to an extent. He leaves to train with Sasuke for three years, returning with new confidence and stronger. Triggering his Byakugan much later than his sister, his aunt teaches him. He climbs the ranks of a ninja, becoming one of Naruto’s, and later Konohamaru’s, ANBU. He helped build the new Uzushio and tends to be the most common visitor.

Himawari gains her reputation, besides the Nanadaime’s daughter, as Konoha’s Violent Sunflower due to her temperament. Becoming a well-renown ninja in mastering not only Byakugan, but also her late paternal-grandfather and the Nidaime’s Flying Thunder God technique. She later is the cause of the new Uzushio coming to.  Her father, later Konohamaru, backs her entirely with the idea. She becomes the village’s first Uzukage and later, once the island is restored, becomes the sixth country- albeit the smallest. Konoha and Uzushio continue to maintain being close allies.

NEW YORK COMIC CON... START!

Well it’s time! The first day of NYCC 2015 is today, and I just received my wristband for Kishimoto’s panel. I’ve been here since 6am, but I wanted to make this post once I actually got the wristband. *My wristband* ;)

Important information: - Kishimoto’s panel starts at 5:30pm EST. - I will be updating live from my TWITTER from this point on. Sorry, it’s much easier this way. I’ll probably make a tumblr post later on, but when the panel is going on, I can only use Twitter because it is much more convenient to tweet quickly rather than make a post on Naruto Forums (NF) or tumblr. The tag I’ll be using on both Twitter and tumblr though is rieatnycc (#rieatnycc). - I’ll tweet as much information as I can. This includes Kishimoto’s interview questions & answers, news, and big reveals (such as a new series, new movie, new game, etc, if applicable). - Please don’t be impatient. I want to inform you all of what’s going on, but I also want to enjoy the panel myself. I can’t do that if I am constantly on my phone. - There will be other people attending the event. I’m SURE I won’t be the only one updating live or summarizing the panel afterwards. Look out for those people too.

I’ll be meeting Kishimoto-sensei personally tomorrow (Friday) night at Kinokuniya, and he also has another panel on Saturday (with another signing before it) at the Boruto movie premiere. Junko Takeuchi will also be present. Have to camp out for that though (lines start Friday night @__@) so hopefully I can make it. For now look out for updates mainly on my twitter but also on here too periodically today, Thursday October 8th 2015! :)

PS - If I don’t update live that means that my phone either died, they don’t allow phones to be taken out, or I don’t have good/any service at the panel. In that case, expect information whenever I get the chance.

And another fun fact - I’m actually (currently) disabled. I tore my meniscus again (this is the third time… sigh) a few days ago (of all weeks… seriously) and been using crutches. I was able to reserve a temporary wheelchair for comic con though and I get priority seating and everything for the panels. Perks of being a cripple I guess? lol!

Thank you everyone!

With your great support, the first Sunshine Siblings Week ended with a huge success! We’d like to thank everyone who participated in this event and who shared and supported the fanworks on their blogs. It’s so fascinating to see how much Boruto and Himawari are loved, and we wish to be together here again next year! 

Our main aim was to make event for everyone to enjoy, that’s why a poll was held to decide the prompts and a day had two options. The end result was amazing! Same format will be used again next year as well.

Submissions are not over! “Better late than never” is our motto! We’ll be still reblogging your contributions as long as it’s tagged in “sunshinesiblingsweek” tag.
