Luigi… thunder.
This is still the most confusing post this blog has ever made
what have i done
the idea that this might have been made in 2012 is fucking terrifying because it sounds like it’s supposed to be a parody of Thunder by Imagine Dragons
The longer this post goes the more questions it raises.
the only plausible explanation is that imagine dragon’s thunder is a parody of luigi thunder
What the fuck
I do have an answer to this, by the way! Back in 2010, the musical production SPIDERMAN: Turn Off The Dark, was having demos done for their music. As we all definitely know, the musical’s songs were preformed by Bono and the Edge, and U2… but another band also recorded demos for the musical back then.
Imagine Dragons.
However, after recording Demons, and likely a few other songs (and also after coming up with the tune for Radioactive, though they claim it’s not related to the musical) they decided that the songs were “too good” to be just for a musical, and thus began re-working them for a non-Spiderman related album, which would become Night Visions, Imagine Dragon’s first release.
WHILE I HAVE NO PROOF OF THIS, it is… utterly likely that Thunder is one of the songs originally intended for Turn Off The Dark, due to the fact that Electro is one of the villains in that musical, they just didn’t release it in Night Visions.
This would of course mean that whoever made this parody back in 2012 has some intimate familiarity with either Turn Off The Dark or Imagine Dragons, which. Isn’t 100% unlikely, I suppose.

Stubborn Bird
a poem by deirdre
I used to keep the stubborn bird perched upon my shoulder for passersby to brush its feathers. Sometimes the bird had liked to perch on others' vacant shoulders. Only when the bird was struck for the second time did I cage it, behind doors I barricade at night.
I slot the silver key into its rusted nook and twist, as they had tried to twist its hollow head from shoulder of its own. This is the chamber of my bird, and you are the first and last to see. First and last to visit me.
The dull bird still flies into its chamber walls to try to land at shoulder side. If you keep its chamber sealed you may caress it once. Do not let it roam awry, or god forbid let it land by shoulder side. Perhaps later, perhaps soon, but god forbid it fly tonight.

Super Mario Odyssey contains unused code for a "CeilingKeep" state for Mario that does not resemble anything found in the finished game, or in Mario games in general, which can only be described as "ceiling with ice floor puzzle mechanics".
A typical ice floor puzzle in a video game will take away the player's control upon stepping on a slippery surface and make characters keep moving in a straight line until they either leave the ice floor or hit an obstacle.
This state confers the same ability, bafflingly, to a ceiling instead. The ceiling would "grab hold" of Mario, make him move without player input in the direction he was facing when he touched it, and only let go when he reached the end of the ceiling.
What this could have been used for, and what such a ceiling could have looked like, is unknown.
Top: a diagram of the state. Bottom: an example of an ice puzzle, the Ice Path in the Generation II Pokémon series games.
