guardian of gloam. they follow orders. they know her schedule. they make sure to do their job right. a change of scenery and life in a brand new city with new rules to adjust to, he scrambles to find his place without gloam by his side.
without anyone to monitor during the day, clay finds themself frequenting a quaint antique shop and befriends a boastful employee. they soak up the tales and rumors they become the audience of and report back to gloam. even without the obligation, he still lurks by her school and becomes mixed up with the city's guard.
