Delsin hears her voice come over the comms, and he stops, body reforming from the smoke it had broken down, immediately swinging his head to find her on the battlefield. It’s not hard to find the vivid pink MEKA, and he realizes belatedly she’d been talking to their enemies, not the team. Still, he grins, tilts his head, and allows himself a moment to watch. “Hard to miss you, D.Va.”

Disgust twists his expression, and Delsin takes half a step back. He’s strong, but suddenly, he’s all too apprehensive of what might happen if this stranger managed to get their hands on him.
“I know someone who used to say shit like that,” he says, and there’s more venom in his voice than he intends. “She killed my family and tried to imprison me and everyone like me. She was a tyrant, and you sound just like her.”

He can’t help but grin widely at the jubilation in Eugene’s voice, and Delsin starts to laugh. “Yeah, man! Yeah!” He throws a fist into the air in some show of victory; the chain jangles on his wrist as he does. “Yeah! That’s how it can be all the time. Doing super cool and dangerous shit, savin’ people, living to tell the tale... it’s cool, right?!”

“What happened mate, you got a bad grade or two? Got kicked out of class?”
He himself didn’t have many memories of college left – college hadn’t exactly been a huge part of his life. He would either be a troublesome student, or he wouldn’t show up at all. After a while he dropped out, as otherwise it would only be paying for something he would not use. He felt like it was much better to teach himself everything he wanted to know, than to learn all that he did not need to know. Though, it wasn’t like he would give the same advice to everyone. It simply wasn’t his thing.

He glances down at the ensemble, even though he knows exactly what he’s wearing: vest, hoodie, flannel underneath, and a hidden T-shirt hidden underneath that. For all intents and purposes, he should be roasting alive, especially with all the running around he’s been doing.
“Y’know? I’m not, actually.” He shrugs a little and tugs on the ends of his vest as if to straighten it out. “I’ll let you know if I change my tune once summer rolls around.”

He hums, head tilting as he examines the entrance to the abandoned temple before them. It looks dangerous, undeniably, and for a moment, Delsin has to wonder how he ended up here. Harry’s voice draws him back to the present, and Delsin glances over, giving a slight shrug.
“Dunno, man. I mean, odds are, probably, but... I’m trying to give up my life of crime, okay? Got a reputation to uphold.”

The neon coalesces into a solid human form, and Delsin skids to a stop beside her, looking down with nothing but concern for her. She’s sprawled on the pavement at her feet, and Delsin’s eyes rake over her form, searching for any visible signs of trauma.
“—Jesus! Sarah, come on. You gotta be careful.” He reaches down and takes her hand, helps haul her up to her feet. “Are you okay? I mean—” And here he grins in spite of himself. “It looked pretty cool, but if you’re about to drop dead or something, that would kinda inhibit the coolness factor.”

He scoffs and turns his head to look at her, but remains otherwise unmoving. He’s too comfortable, sprawled on his couch beside her, ankles crossed on and held up by the coffee table. When his head turns, it rolls against the back of the couch, beanie getting knocked slightly askew.
