April 11th, 2016 ALL ABOARD THE STAR WARS TRAIN So I was lucky enough to ride the Neon Genesis Evangelion shinkansen, which I’ll post about later, but I was also lucky enough to encounter the Star Wars Kansai Express to take me to the airport. We saw the sign advertising it and hoped it would happen to be the train to pick us up, and it was our lucky day!

This thing is so cool– the inside is also decked out. You can see in one of the interior pictures that even the aisles are covered with star-patterned flooring. It was also really cute seeing the characters everywhere (esp Rey and BB-8 and Finn), and I got a real kick out of the Japanese businessmen sizing up Kylo Ren on the front car.

So, in sum, even though I was bummed about leaving my boyfriend behind (hello again, LDR!), this train made my day so much better. Thanks, Japan/Star Wars marketing team!
