The ‘new’ ace flag discourse is utterly stupid. First of all, I hate the ‘new’ flag. It’s ugly and it looks stupid. I hate the yellow and pink stripes. I hate the fact that it centers love because the asexual community was just starting to warm up to the fact that not everybody needs or wants a long term relationship, be it romantic, sexual, or a queerplatonic relationship, but nooooo, even though we as a community decided that we don’t owe society a performance of sex, this person had the arrogance to assert that we still owe society a performance of love. Way to completely exclude non partnering aces, apl and afams. The old flag doesn’t have a stripe representing ‘love’, and it doesn’t explicitly alienate loveless members of the community.

And on the subject of arrogance, who asked for a ‘new’ flag? I didn’t. There’s nothing wrong with the flag that we already have. I’ve never had a problem with it, and I don’t know any other aces who have. I can’t speak for everyone, of course, but I think it’s arrogant and ignorant to come up with a redesign that nobody asked for, declare it the ‘new’ flag, and expect the entire internet to accept it without question, and treat it with equal weight as the existing flag. No.

In short, I will continue to use the ‘old’ asexual flag. I didn’t want or ask for a ‘new’ one, and I will not be shamed into using it.

k but imagine Rocky wanting to learn about how humans became the apex predators of their planet so he has Grace “hunt” him in the biodome as an experiment and during it he thinks Grace isn’t trying or taking it seriously which is bad bad bad because this is for research purposes

only for Rocky to get more and more tired as the experiment goes on just to realize that Grace isn’t which makes him panic so he puts as much distance as he can between them and finds a (hopefully) safe spot to sleep and when he wakes up the human is crouching over him like “got youuu” and Rocky has never shrieked so damn loud before in his life
