I loved your Greed fic and your Kimblee one, they don’t get nearly enough love. Would love to read your interpretation of Kimblee falling in love or obsession or some twisted construct of love or as close to love as he can 😌 reader can either be innocent of how he really is or they know exactly what he is. Honestly any Kimblee content in any capacity lmao
thank you so much !! as for Kimblee and love I have… a few thoughts:
- tbf I don’t think Kimblee would be able to be with someone who doesn’t know what and who he really is – he’s not ashamed by it, and I think hiding that part of himself from you would be exceedingly frustrating for him
- that being said, in early dating stages he probably would dial it back if you didn’t already know, just until he got his hooks in. We know from how he behaves around Winry that this man is manipulative and I think he’s prone to white lies and half-truths when he’s trying to get what he wants.
- Speaking of, definitely a pursuer. If he wants you he’s going to chase you, and it DOES become obsessive. He’s a talker, and when he’s into someone, they’re the person he wants to talk to the most. Probably spends a lot of time not rehearsing conversations, but definitely thinking them over: what he’ll say, what you’ll say back, how he’ll reply… it gets close to ‘kicking his feet and twirling his hair’ territory. If he’s fantasising about a debate, he always wins.
- speaking of, he’s not really arsed about whether you agree with him and his fucked up morals. If you do, great, lots in common! But if you don’t, I’m tempted to say he’d enjoy that more just because, again, he’s a talker. I don’t think he’s even that bothered about talking you round to his way of thinking, he just wants you to understand his worldview and to understand yours in turn.
- I think he’s a romantic but very self-satisfied about it. He’ll buy you flowers and then adjust them every time he passes; he’ll cook you dinner and sit and wait until you tell him how good it is; he’ll walk on the outside of the road and hold open doors and pull out your chair, but only so he can feel good about his chivalry.
- Definitely gets more unhinged after jail. If you were together pre-inprisonment, he will expect you to have waited. Actually, there’s no ‘expect’ about it; it never crossed his mind that you wouldn’t. There’s a lot of possessiveness about a relationship with Kimblee.
I could ramble on more bcus I think of this RAT way too often but I’ll leave it there for now !! If yall want a part two lemme know I can go on… forever...
