if Ride or Die doesn't end with Judith and Debbie running away together what are we even doing here
one thing about The Odyssey's cast is Robert Pattinson. yes the film is full of celebrities who have outsized reputations to the point that it can be difficult to see them as their character rather than as their public persona. but Pattinson? honestly, generational talent is an understatement. the man disappears into each and every role he takes on so completely that you don't see his public persona at all. you don't see Robert Pattinson! you just see Antinous and it's just such a good performance of the slimy bastard, too. so good.
(source) its so funny how actual Greek and Homeric scholars are talking about this movie vs the fact that people on tumblr are acting like Nolan personally dug up Homer's actual bones and pissed on them
they really took the And There Was Only One Bed fic trope and ran a marathon with it lmaoooooooo
ah, I'm glad they got the killer but I am not super enthused about the scene having such a happy, electric guitar solo as a triumphant soundtrack. a woman was violently killed by her cheating abusive ex fiancé because she wanted to keep her pregnancy and believed he would come back to her, and the scene where he's finally arrested is depicted as a comedic moment. not a good look. there's no reason to have this edited in that way to make light of an extremely awful murder and motive, one based on very real patterns of femicide. it looks like the show is not done with this plot, however, and that there will be more serious scenes around the fallout of what happened, but I do wish shows that take such serious subject matter would do so with at least some respect.
Ma Gang-Uk being exhausted by the fact that his job that consists of running after bad guys therefore requires him to run sometimes, plus all the running commentary while he's running after said bad guys, is just hilarious, I am really enjoying this romcom
waiting for all the Rogue x Cheon Yeo-Ri gifset parallels! women who are afraid to realize their own powers because doing so would guarantee a life separate from all the people they love >>>>>>>>>

Park Eun-Bin in Spooky in Love, eps. 1.
my first reaction to seeing that they made Cheon Yeo-Ri a hotel heiress is that Hong Hae-In's influence still has us all in a chokehold
excited to start Spooky in Love! Park Eun Bin is so beautiful, my gosh.
I'm not going to give up just yet but I don't really know where Agent Kim Reactivated is going now and this weekend's episodes were a struggle for me, personally. I loved the emphasis on Kim and his daughter, and the relationship they're trying to repair with one another; always down for a juicy family character drama! I'm disappointed we didn't get more of the [SPOILERS]
reunion and the opportunity to hear more from her perspective on how they became so distant with one another. we as viewers got this in all the flashback scenes and her scenes, and Kim got some of this from the stories other people told him during his search for her, but they themselves don't really address it directly, and I thought that was a weakness in the script, given how devastated it was that they had to say goodbye, too!
now we're full into the spy thriller aspect of the show, and while that's still intriguing it's so far from the original premise that I feel increasingly lost. I don't know how the show could have handled this differently, as dragging out Kim rescuing his daughter would have been just as frustrating. I'm glad the reunion happened this early.
unfortunately, for me the stakes really aren't as emotionally gripping now, even if the motivation for Kim to return to his spy roots for one last mission is to secure new identities for himself and his daughter so they can truly be reunited and leave this life behind. a great motivation! but I think if that had been the motivation all along, it would have been so much more powerful. as it is, it feels like the show is just trying to cover up past plot holes and invent new what-ifs this late into the episode run, and it's a little deflating to me.
