Reiji Sakamaki x gn/male reader short drabble!
You sat in your room for once in all the time you spent here, you finally had some peace and quiet.
Kanato went to some Victorian era inspired fashion show, Ayato had basketball practice, Laito with some girl, and Shu and Subaru in detention.
Shu only attending because it was in the same classroom as his last lesson while Subaru was forced by Reiji under the threat of whatever blackmail he had on Subaru. Speaking of Reiji, he was the only one home although unlike the others Reiji actually had common decency....to a certain extent.
So if you left him alone he'd leave you alone.
You were lucky to be homesick as apparently ,while Reiji was fascinated by illness, no one actually liked being around sick people.
What a surprise!
(You had mostly recovered by this point but they didn't had to know that!)
And anyways your illness had allowed to have lots of free time to wander about the ridiculously large mansion. And you had found your favourite room, the music room.
The music room was just big enough for five people to fit stand with a good amount of personal space.
It had grand piano shoved into the corner surrounding it in the corner was a violin, viola and cello and a small box with you had since learned contained a flute.
While Shu and Laito were musically inclined, Laito had his own room for his piano while Shu mostly played his violin in his own room (you think its partly to piss off Reiji as unlike the music room, it wasn't soundproof).
It was rarely visisted so it allowed you some alone time. You approached the piano and sat down you pulled the cover off the piano and started to play a familiar tune you'd been practicing for a while.
~When you left I lost a part of me
It's still so hard to believe
Come back baby please
'Cause we belong together~
You head into a small improvised instrumental part humming softly along which turns into out loud harmonising along with the piano.
Reiji had been walking around for the last 10 minutes looking for you! You weren't in any of your usual hotspots nor your room, is it possible you had ventured deeper into the mansion?
He wouldn't be very surprised knowing your record of rule breaking-how hard could it be to stay out of out of bound areas? He goes deeper into the mansion entering an extended hallway arriving at a mahogany door with a gold door knob, he tries to recall what it leads to but despite his usual expertise with the layout of the house, he simply just can't remember. Which make this whole thing even more confusing, what's in here that I would go to such lengths to go this deep into the mansion for? He's curious. And so he goes in.
It's a mini theatre, it has a low stage and around two rows on either side he walks down the aisle in the middle.
The room is open enough so he knows you're not in there, however he can smell you near. You're close. He turns to the right and there's a slightly smaller ivory door with a silver door knob.
He approaches the door and opens the door by a sliver and he finds what he's looking for.
But not how he expected to find it.
Your voice was dark, deep and rich and it ran smooth yet thick like a river of honey. He looks down as he watches you play the piano your hands travelling up and down the keys with incredible ease.
You never mentioned you could play or sing. And frankly you never seemed like the type, he leans against the door frame allowing the door to fully open, your voice withers you play a wrong note as you slowly look up at him.
TO BE CONTINUED SOON......
