I feel like fandoms where the main ship isn't canon are sometimes so much better. Like ones where they are canon there's such a lack of creativity, no AU's, no what if's, its just re-writing super similar fics relating to when they got together and their relationship aftertwards. Fandoms where the main pairing aren't together are always so much more diverse and creative. There's so many AU's there's so many more people coming up with new and different ways to make the main couple get together. Like granted when the main ship isn't canon that can cause a LOT of fandom wars, but the fanfic side is always so peak. Having no main source material to go off of (like a kiss or confessing feelings) make people inspired to think and get around the lack of a relationship in canon. I wish fandoms where the main ship is canon were as creative as non canon fandoms.

okay adding on but when something big or angsty happens in a fandom, i feel like thats ALL. the fandom writes about after its released. like for example im in the spiderman (tom holland) dandom rn and i feel like the only thing people rlly write abt is fix-it fics for the workd forgetting peter, and with oersona 5 the majority of fics are fix-its for akechi dying and dont get me wrong i do love to read those it js gets to a point. i feel like it can take so long after one of those big events happens for people to start getting creative again. can we go back to pretending things just didnt happen??? can we go back to aus??? this ESPECIALLY applies to long fics

i hate how when i tell people i dont like being made fun of for my height they start walking on nails (or whatever the saying is) around me like i told my friend to stop making short jokes ant me and tje next day she says smth like "its okay you'll get it soon enoigh littlr guy" and i i lauged and didnt even register the little guy as a possible height thing until she said "little guy like... age- not height" yeah i didnt think it was height. this exact scenario witht this exact nickname (little guy) has been happened multiple tomes btw and it annoys me everytime like just dont outwardlt make short jokes ill point it out if you do
