I’m driving myself up the wall because I swear I can hear the vocal line but I don’t know how that could be if it was truly converted to MIDI. Unless you can replicate speech sounds entirely with modulated MIDI notes, in which case I’m actually impressed with this tire fire of an MP3.

and naturally it’s a sequel to the crisbot au because i’m garbage and trying my damndest to finish by new years:

"I think it would be good for you to get away." In the pale streetlight he can see the dark circles under his friend's eyes that definitely weren't there when they first met, and his stomach turns with guilt for dragging Luka into his cocked up world at past-two in the morning. "I think," Luka starts, then pauses.

"You can say it," Gareth sighs. "Whatever it is, just… say it."

"I think your world has gotten too small, and it's making you..." He withdraws a hand from his pocket to gesture vaguely. "Destructive?” Gareth’s stomach twists further. Luka has always been good about helping him without pushing too hard, but this is quite literally his job. Gareth can’t deny it either, destructive is a great word for what he’s become, chasing himself in circles just to gnaw at his own tail. Luka meets his eyes again. "So, come to Zagreb. You can meet our friends -- I think you will like Mandzo. Christmas is nothing like it was with your family, but… it could be nice, eh?”
