That was not helpful at all, great a dead end for them both. “It doesn’t matter, lets just hope I don’t stay like this.” He didn’t like giving out that information that he was some fallen angel. Made him feel like he wasn’t worth much for being fallen, that he was scum and often kept that to himself. “What about you?” 

Well, he could respect that but he was going to play the same game as well. “Mine doesn’t matter either, but I’m on the opposite end of you with the enthusiasm.” Just thinking about switching back dampened the joy he felt, but Levon didn’t want to linger on that. Not when he lived in constant self hatred and loathing.

Well that was good, confusing but good news. Nodding a little as the male spoke, and if it wasn’t just him with this problem how many more. “So, any ideas on why, how?” He questioned, though he was unsure himself maybe this guy had some sort of answers for him. “I mean, curse, some spell gone wrong it’s hard telling what has happened and how many people it happened to.”

Levon pursed his lips as he shook his head. “No, I don’t, sorry. I just woke up not too long ago.” And he was still dripping from the shower, but he was more interested with the other man and what was going on. “That’d make the most sense. What were you.. before?”

Some sick prank? Some twisted curse? This couldn’t actually be happening, he already missed his wings, felt separated from them even. No angel, even fallen should ever feel that kind of loss. The man didn’t seem threatening, taking a deep breath he stared, unsure how to process this. “I can explain….” A long pause held after those words because he couldn’t explain shit. “Okay, I can’t explain why I’m floating, why I’m half naked in you place and why I woke up here..” He admitted with a deep breath. “Just know I mean you no harm or danger in any form.” He had to make that clear that he wasn’t here to hurt, steal or generally cause any pain. 

Levon listened quietly as he tried to assess the situation. “This is new to you, isn’t it? If it is and it just happened this morning then you aren’t the only one. I’m not what I usually am either.” At least he didn’t wake up in someone else’s place, but he could’ve barreled out of here like a wild animal if he wasn’t taking the change as well as he was.

Ghost~ 

His best felt different, the angel slowly waking as he rolled over. Hands tugging at the blankets that felt rougher than his own. A chill ran up his spine, feet sticking out from the bottom of the blankets. He attempted to tug them down but no use, instead deciding to simply push himself from the bed and start his morning. He had his run to go on, had a few errands to do after. With arms stretched out and a yawn escaping him, the male stood clad in a pair of black boxers with hearts on them. A hand coming up to scratch at a furry chest, while he moved towards the doorway. Only once he got to the door did he notice he wasn’t actually touching the floor and this wasn’t his bedroom. The same chill ran right up his spine as he fell back or tried to but failed to simply floating in the air. Confusion struck him, reaching for the door knob as quickly as possible his hand going through it. “A dream?” No, it felt too real, this wasn’t his bedroom, and he had no idea how he ended up in it. Moving towards the mirror eyes locked on himself, he looked the same but felt different. “This is impossible how can I be a ghost, how can I be… No..” He was an angel, a fallen one but still an angel. Alexander tried to push his wings free, yet the tattoo across his shoulder blades was just a tattoo. 

It’s only when he heard noise that he stiffened up, afraid to turn around and see whose home he was intruding in. How would he explain this to someone? I’m a ghost and must have been sleep floating? 

He nearly clawed the hell out of his floor when he fell out of bed in a hairy tumble. Levon went to yell, but a yelp came out instead. His bones ached and his muscles hurt. It wasn’t a new experience, but not on this scale. Before it was just from his back but now he was staring at claw tipped paws and a lot closer to the ground than he was used to. Everything felt off, but his subconscious was already starting to rejoice oddly enough. It almost felt like a weight has been lifted from him and he didn’t feel anguish from being another species. It was relieving. 

And it stayed that way even after he managed to shift back. He wasn’t sure how to but he hung onto whatever was triggering it. When Levon gasped for breath with elongated limbs he was shaking from the exertion. He laid there for several moments and winced as he eventually got up. His body hurt and he shuffled his way to the bathroom. A shower was taken to ease the soreness. He wrapped a towel around his waist and made his way out to the kitchen to get something to eat. Except he stopped before he could reach it. There was a man standing there with just as much fright and confusion as he probably mirrored. “Excuse.. me?” He asked slowly, completely stunned from what he was seeing.

Rhys had gotten the feeling that something was very wrong when he woke up. The first thing that alarmed him enough bolt up in bed was the fact he couldn’t smell his son. At least, not like he was usually able to. He but managed to get tangled in his bed sheets as he raced out of bed and down the hall towards his son’s room. Desmond was in his crib, safe and sound. Rhys scooped the toddler up and nosed along his son’s throat as the boy giggled at the ticklish touch. 

His scent even up close wasn’t as strong as he was used to. He’s safe, you’re safe, he’s safe— The same mantra was repeated in his head as the once werewolf tried to calm himself down and made his way into his living room to grab his phone. The mix of emotions was only rising as he felt a pain in his back as a pair of wings grew from him and he frantically dialed the first number that came to mind. The last thing he expected from the super moon was to strip him of his being and make him a fucking bird — ❝ I don’t know what the fuck is going on and I’m trying not to have a panic attack. Get over here now.. please. ❞

Not a day went by where he was dragged by complete self loathing. Most of the time he couldn’t even wake up without an accelerated heart rate with his waist deep in yet another panic attack. This morning hadn’t been much different except when he woke up to touch his back he couldn’t. There was a scrabbling that cut into his face. His.. muzzle? What?

It hours for him to figure out what was going on, but with the revelation came relief. He was almost giddy with the discovery that he wasn’t a harpy. As terrible as that might have sounded, there was no way he could be one when he was a wolf. Levon was checking inventory with himself when he heard his phone go off. There was a grin on his face when he picked up but the smile slipped away quickly. “Rhys, hold on- okay, I’m coming over. You want me to stay on the phone?”

“Harper. It’s nice to meet you.” Smiling, she looked away and tried to gather her thoughts. The first one being she didn’t even know this person so why was she even bothering to talk to him. “Just feeling a little out of it since I woke up. Honestly just thought it was because of the move and unpacking.”

It was indeed nice to him since he wasn’t filled with self loathing like usual, but he gave a neutral smile and nodded as he listened. “It might be effecting people at a different rate.” No, that didn't feel right and he frowned as he spoke. “This might be an odd question, but what are you? What species, I mean.”

She tracked his movement, eyes almost draw to it. It took Harper a second to realize he’d even spoke back at all and a second longer to drag her eyes away from his hands and back to his face. “Pretty sure I was the one standing around like some idiot. I’m- today’s a weird day.” There was that feeling again. A prickling right under her skin that was getting harder and harder to ignore. Licking her lips, Harper forced herself to focus. “I don’t think I caught your name.”

A fleeting smile came to him as he moved his hand from his jaw up to his hair. Had that grown as well? “I think today’s been weird for almost everyone here,” he said rather quietly, eyes moving to look at their surroundings for a moment. “Levon, and you?”

“Damn, that’s a good idea. Or at the very least I should have one dedicated to my jacket pockets so I don’t end up leaving without one.” He’d have to figure that out, maybe take the one out of the drawer in his office. He leaned back against the wall, plucking the cigarette from his lips and flicking his wrist to free the ash from the end. “Glad I found someone that’s not going to tell me off for my habit, that’s got increasingly worse in the past couple years.”

A slanted smile came to him as he pulled the cigarette from his lips. “It’s a hit or miss sometimes.” Levon ran a hand through his hair and and bobbed his head in a nod. He didn’t mention that he strove for that multiple times over the course of his miserable life. Sometimes he still does, but he just remained placid. “Smoking isn’t exactly healthy, but it’s not like we’re all deaf.”

Slowly, his brows furrowed. “You too? It seems like that’s been going on for everyone so far,” he said with a frown. His finger scratched against the stubble in a rasp as he thought. “Levon, and not be too intrusive, but what do you mean your day’s been weird?”

His lips pressed in a thin line, turning into a soft frown as he slowly retracted his hand. Jaime folded hands in his lap, peering across the other pigeons around. “It wouldn’t be the first time, I’ve tried to befriend the pigeons in the park. Suppose I’m more fit to the birds of the sea.” The selkie was rambling more off to himself. “They have taken a liking to you very well.”

“That’s not necessarily true,” he said just before he whistled quietly to one of the birds that was pecking on the ground. One pigeon perked up and flew up to perch right on the other man’s leg. It’s head canted in a wide eyed question as Levon smiled softly. “There are plenty of pigeons that are friendly enough, and.. there are also some that would rather peck and shit anywhere and wherever they want.”

Ever since taking a break from unpacking, maybe before then, Harper started feeling funny. At first she thought maybe -possible- she was just coming down with something. Except it felt different than that. Frowning, Harper pushed it off, ignoring everything she was feeling to just walk around and explore. The more she walked the more she noticed. Noticed the way someone walked, their hands, eyes. Body. Everything about everyone. The exact opposite of what she normally noticed about people these days. At some point she must have stopped paying attention because the next thing Harper knew she was bumping into someone. “Shit, sorry.”

He couldn’t express the mix of emotions he was experiencing right now. On one hand he was confused as to why he didn’t have those scars on his back. The same ones that constantly reminded him that he was a lesser being; someone that wasn’t whole since it had been carved out of him. Yet on the other hand he was.. jubilant. He might not have known what the hell happened or what he was now, but just the fact that he wasn’t a harpy anymore was freeing in it’s own way. He felt more of a person than he had been even though he shouldn’t. Levon had been too lost in his own head that he hadn’t been paying attention to his surroundings. The bump jarred him out of things, and he was just as quick to apologize as the other lady had been. “Sorry,” he muttered, eyes instantly fixed on the person before him as he rubbed the corner of his jaw. He hadn’t stopped ever since he woke up this morning and discovered that his facial hair had been growing faster than normal.

Perhaps his luck wasn’t awful after all, given that a good looking guy had just been lighting up his own cigarette. There were more more awful things to be had than getting to see an attractive man smoke. He took the lighter gratefully, lighting the end of his own cigarette before handing it back. Taking an extended drag, Sydney tilted his head back to expel the smoke. “Thanks, you saved my day. Need to keep better track of my damn lighter.”

Levon waited until he got his lighter back before he burned the end of his own cigarette. His nose scrunched slightly as he pocketed the lighter while he took in a long drag. “No problem,” he said with the smoke blown out towards the side. “That’s why I keep two on me just in case.” Yet there were still times he managed to lose track of both of them.

“So what?” Sani shrugged, clearly uncaring even though the other man was fully right. But he existed to get under people’s skin, so to speak, and that’s what he was going to do. “There’re goody-two-shoes around here like you, then there’s scum-of-the-earth freaks like me. We’re all here to coexist, right?” He grinned widely.

The more the man talked the more tired he felt. Anger would’ve been the right response, but all he wanted to do was to have some peace and quiet with the birds. That wasn’t going to happen, though, obviously. “I wouldn’t label myself as a goody-two-shoes, just like how I wouldn’t label you as the scum-of-the-earth since I don’t know you. If you don’t have anything else better to do I’d go bother someone else.” There were protesting noises as he went to stand up. Yet most of the birds still clung to him in some manner.
