THINGS TO DO IN OAHU:
-Stay on the quieter, east side of Waikiki, hopefully with views of Diamond Head -Hike the Pillbox hike with great views of Lanikai beach -Swim at Kailua beach park when Lanikai beach is too crowded -Visit Byodo-In, a replica of a temple in Japan, in Kaneohe -Hike Diamond Head (piece of cake after Pillbox) -Watch the sunset in the North Shore
Not pictured: -Pearl Harbor memorial -Makupu’u lookout point (and all of the scenic points on the way there from Waikiki) -The Dole Plantations (for all variety of pineapple-themed souvenirs and indulging in delicious pineapple soft-servce)
Places to eat: -Warukame Udon (Waikiki) -Barefoot Beach Cafe (Waikiki) -Matsumoto’s shaved ice (North Shore/Haleiwa) -Haleiwa Beach House (North Shore/Haleiwa) -Boots & Kimo’s (Kailua) -Liliha Bakery (Honolulu) -Foodland (various locations... fresh-made mochi!)

A day trip to Sintra, Portugal. Took the train from Lisbon and rented some little electric cars in Sintra to visit palaces such as the Pena Palace.
All of the lights in Lisbon, Portugal. The steep hills and the “25 de Abril” bridge remind me of San Francisco.

Cassis, a relaxing port town near Marseille.
Calanque du sugiton. Hiked an hour to get here. Climbed up and down an elevation of 300m. The water is ice cold.
I <3 Marseille. Not to be missed: La Cantinetta, in the Cours Julien. Shout out to our AirBNB host Jerome!! He took us sailing around Les îles du Frioul. Incroyable.
