Today ICE killed another person in Minneapolis. They pinned him to the ground, kicked him in the face, stole his belongings, and then shot him at least 9 times in the back. Multiple agents can be seen in the video firing shots into him. His only crime was filming them and helping a woman who ICE agents shoved to the ground to get back up. And they brutally executed him. In broad daylight. With many witnesses. Tear gas and other chemical agents were used on witnesses and community members who were on the block. The entire block is currently being held by protestors and in response the government is instituting a check point to enter the residential neighborhood.

We are at war.

His name was Alex Pretti. He was an ICU nurse who worked at the VA.

ICE has shot another person in Minneapolis. This time, they tailed someone for over 30 minutes and shot him in the leg as he ran from his car to his home. ICE agents then proceeded to unleash chemical irritants including notoriously carcinogenic HC gas, flash bangs, and stinger pellets on community members who responded to the shooting. They threw multiple flash bangs and mace into a car that contained six children, the youngest of whom was 6 months old and needed emergency aid because they couldn’t breathe. A 6 month old baby. If these tactics feel similar to the IDF, it’s bc they are. In fact, ICE has an outpost in Tel Aviv. Why would US immigration officers need an outpost in Tel Aviv?? Why are they deploying poison gas in residential neighborhoods full of small children? When will this end?

Cars are being found in the streets of Minneapolis fully abandoned after ICE has stolen the drivers and disappears them. They are holding native people hostage unless the tribes sign “immigration agreements” IE allow ICE to come onto the Res and kidnap indigenous people.

ICE violently beat and detained a neighbor two blocks from me. Unfortunately I was not there to witness this since I was a few miles away standing guard at a mutual aid hub. ICE and police have driven by attempting to intimidate us but have not stopped or gotten out of their vehicles. We’ll keep showing up and standing guard so that people can get food and household needs for themselves and their neighbors and families. Fuck ICE, become water.

I feel like things would be a lot better if folks just understood how much of their lives is other people. How everything they are and do and experience is made by other people.

The food you eat was likely farmed, and transported, and made available by other people.

The clothes you were most likely were made by other people. From fabric made by other people.

The house in which you live was made by other people.

The media you consume was made by other people. And not just the important people whose names you know. There were hundreds of other people involved.

If you watch 2D animation pretty much every frame was drawn by a person.

It is all other people. These things do not magically appear in the world. It is all people. There is no rugged individualism. Not even in places where people believe they are all rugged individuals.

ICE attempted to force entry at a private business that is operating as mutual aid hub in Minneapolis. Community members forced them away from the door, and agents retaliated by throwing a mace canister, which someone at the scene promptly kicked back towards the ICE vehicle. After inhaling most of their own gas, agents fled the scene. I will be there throughout the week as security and community defense. If I do not post at least once a day, assume ICE has either taken me into custody or directly harmed myself or someone I love.
