Augh bruh I may have very mixed opinions on Cary, but there's no denying the real tragedy in his story there.

Like,, thinking about it, when he says goodbye to Caspian at the data center after helping them escape, that was the last time he ever saw his son alive. He was trying to save him, but Caspian only lived maybe three more weeks after that. Whatever happened to Cary after that, whether he got arrested by the FBI with Pope and the others or managed to escape as well, he probably wouldn't have found out about Caspian's death for a long time afterwards, since it seemed that Maddie and co had to keep it secret from everyone except for the very uppermost levels of the government.

I wonder how Cary found out, eventually. Was it only once the info entered common knowledge as the cloud got bigger (since Caspian was lauded as "the last of the original pantheon" and inventor of the cure)? Or did he maybe even go looking for Maddie after years of radio silence, to see if she knew where Caspian was?

What did he do when he found out? How did he react to learning that his son died to stop the very man he once worshipped as a prophet, whose mission demanded he abuse that same son?

Did he ever find out about Dave, his son's son? Did he ever meet him and see how much he looks like his father did at that age?
