Ok so first, I have to thank the incredibly amazing artist who allowed my OC to be brought to such amazing life, @lukegote they're an amazing artist go follow them.

Second, if you do take time out of your day to read my fanfic, thank you so much and I am deeply appreciative that you gave my work any bit of your time.

Anyways hello! I'm Vanilla the author of the UTY Fanfic "Combined Souls", and I wanted to give myself a proper post as my first one was in fact, not that. So "Combined Souls" it is my first major writing project since I was in school, and it's been a good few years since I was.

https://archiveofourown.org/works/58148032/chapters/148050439 After I got played the hit fangame Undertale Yellow for the first time I was hooked, started following fanart more, then through @delta-drawsarts and their amazing comic "Sibling Acquired" and their art, I was introduced to CupofFoxes and his fanfic "A Brother's Dilemma", which was the first fanfic I ever read, I know I know I'm late.

But from there it cause my brain to spiral into being creative and I so from there I started this fanfic. So here I am a few months and 9 chapters, well 4 and a half. After publishing the first 9 chapters then going out on a wonderful vacation to France to see my fiancé, I got home and started chapter 10. I quickly realized that those old chapters are incredibly rushed, low quality, and just bad in a general sense. So I have spent the past few months updating my old writing and challenging myself to improve.

NOW YOU MAYBE WONDERING, what is "Combined Souls" about? Well, say hello to Suzu! Hello everyone I'm Suzu Ketsukane, I'm the oldest daughter of Ceroba and Chujin. Kanako is my baby sister. Honestly not much has happened in my story so far so author. Thank you for introducing yourself, but yes the story is not that far as of current, and I'm not that good at giving summaries, if you couldn't tell by this very post. Suzu is not just a simple monster, her soul isn't complete, a majority monster soul being supported by a human soul. The same human who had that soul lives a shared life with Suzu until one day where she fades into the life she was reborn into.

So, it’s been a bit since I made any posts, but don’t worry I am still very slowly working on my fanfic. But since one of my last posts I want to share some of the commissions and the amazing artists who have brought Suzu to life even further!

AFTER an update, due to many personal things I’ve haven’t been on the rewrite for long, the chapter 6 rework is still slogging on. My ADHD has been the main issue deeply impacting my abilities to focus on writing. Another was a small hiccup was when a friend pointed out the fact my writing is currently incredibly flawed, I nearly cringed myself into a black hole realizing how bad it is. So fix up work is on the list but my main priority is getting the rewrites finished and a new chapter out.

As we near the end of the anniversary of one of my favorite games that I played in 2024.

The Dev charity Stream has raised just over $13,300, Shayy is fighting Martlet in Snowdin as I’m typing this.

I want to say this here, the game has deeply impacted my life in such an insane way. I played it for the first time in May, then quickly it went from a game I enjoyed to a full experience of reading my first fanfic, playing through a game multiple times to completion, being full invested in a community and the flood of fan art.

Now here I am in the middle of writing my own fanfic of a OC I have gotten multiple commissions of, made friends in this community, cried a ton, and just been changed from this game. If any of the devs see this, thank you so much deeply. I’m so excited for the art book.

Chapter 5 rewrite is currently almost done and then I’ll be trying to get that ASAP, then 6-9 will all be hopefully done quickly as I have an outline for that.

Hey Patches, what are your thoughts on A Brother's Dilemma by A Cup of Foxes. Any hopes for the future in that fic?

Patches loved reading A Brother's Dilemma! It's a very silly Au that's got those moments that make Patches soul cry. Koji's story before the events of Undertale Yellow is something Patches is excited to see more of.

Patches hopes to see a new chapter whenever it comes out! And also wondering how things will play out when Clover falls into the Underground, which could go in either two ways.

Koji reunites with their little brother/sibling (Forgor if Clover's a he in the fic) and convinces their family to shelter Clover bc he doesn't want his little brother to die. Though this may cause conflict if Clover is ever discovered, and Koji may have to reveal his past life to everyone in an attempt to save Clover's life.

Or...

Since Ivan was reincarnated as Koji, but born in the past (Before Integrity fell since it was stated that he knew about the missing kids including Integrity before the car crash.) it could mean that Clover... Didn't grow up with a brother.

And when Koji/Ivan finally reunite with Clover, they have no idea what he's talking about. Clover's never had a brother.

Those are Patches' theories on when Clover eventually falls into the Underground and meets Koji!

As Patches said, straight up A Brother’s Dilemma is so good. Cup is legit such a good writer.

The story flows incredibly well, the entire family feels so well fleshed out and enjoyable. Also shoutout to you Delta for that amazing art of Koji and the family.

Patches no have ghosties in basement! Patches only said that so Suzu would spend time with Patches! The noises you hear is just the pipe system and boiler, no ghosties!

Patches very sorry for deceiving friend! Patches just wanted to find a reason to hang out, and this was first thing that came to mind! Patches hopes you can forgive Patches for lying...
