Touka & her dopple

The dopple itself represents a desire of fulfilling more wishes, and thus uses its matches to make true any "what ifs". The amount of matches, however, is paralel to the amount of lifespan left from its owner, meaning that once all matches have been used, its master will die.
This could be referencing to how Touka is living a lie through most part of the main story. Since she has never liked the idea of thinking that maybe Iroha was right all along regarding Ui, her dopple may have been using matches to support this lie. Thus, if Touka kept believing Ui never existed and distrusting all proof Iroha brought her, there is a possibility that she would have died.
Another hint that may support this theory is how her dopple actually comes out during the trial with the one thousand sakura rumor. This could maybe tell us that Touka subconsciously recurs to her dopple a bit more than other magical girls, thus her dopple using the matches throughout the main story, though this is just a theory.
