welcome back to gallagher academy, SUZUME “ZU” SUTTON- MINAMOTO! according to their records, they’re a FIRST year, specializing in THREAT ELIMINATION + SEDUCTION & FLIRTATION; and they DID not go to a spy prep high school. when i see them walking around in the halls, i usually see a flash of (dark bangs across her forehead that never budge, the burning like rum on the fire, blood rare and sweet like cherry wine, a charming smile that makes you believe every word from her painted lips, cherry earrings dangling from her ears). when it’s the (aries)’s birthday on 4/13/2000, they always request their KAISEKI MEAL from the school’s chefs. looks like they’re well on their way to graduation.

       “  𝚍𝚒𝚍  𝚊𝚗𝚢𝚘𝚗𝚎  𝚐𝚎𝚝  escaped  double  agents  helping  with  a  high  stakes  mission  on  their  spring  semester  bingo  card  ?  ”  blair  asks  ,  shaking  their  blender  bottle  .  believe  it  or  not  ,  their  aunt’s  retirement  was  actually  on  their  hypothetical  bingo  card  !  it’s  farfetched  but  it  would’ve  happened  eventually  .

         ‘  doesn’t  matter  -  ’    she  says  with  a  dismissive  shake  of  her  head  .    ‘  it’s  already  done  and  no  one  died  .   boring  if  you  ask  me  .  ’    because  it  is  boring !   ‘  the  real  question  is :  is  there  alcohol  in  there ?  ’   she  asks  ,   nodding  towards  the  blender  bottle  .

                       kiki had just arrived back to campus and she was already walking about , spreading chaos .   ❝ hey !  wanna play a game? ❞   she ran up to a student , unsure to who they were as she could only see their back .  she failed to wait for an answer as she went straight to explaining it .   ❝ this wheel has four options , ❞   she showed them a mini game wheel with four bright colors ,   ❝ large prize , medium prize , small prize , and you owe me two dollars .  you also get a re-spin but that costs one dollar .  sounds fun , right ? ❞

          ‘  this  looks  ...  ’    and  she  takes  the  wheel  from  the  other  ,   holding  it  up  to  the  sky  .    ‘  like  it’s  about  to  fall  apart  at  any  given  moment  .   quit  attempting  to  get  some  extra  cash  and  maybe  ,   invest  in  a  better  game  -  ’    suzume  says  with  a  raise  of  her  brow  ,   handing  it  back  to  the  other  .

        OH, TO BE SUZUME SUTTON-MIYAMOTO and to have unwavering confidence. kass can’t relate, but she does know that she’s not wrong. the comment makes her blush a little, not wanting to outright ask, so she shifts tactics.   “ well, i’m glad you guys are friendly, at least. she’s a great person. maybe you guys should go to the end of the year dance together. ”

          she’s  a  menace  to  both  society  and  gallagher  academy  ,   and  that’s  how  she  liked  it  ,   really  .   if  only  her  family  members  could  follow  the  lead  .    ‘  of  course  .   we  are  on  good  terms  .  ’    perhaps  she  quirks  her  mouth  ,   fighting  a  smirk  as  she  does  so  .    ‘  are  you  saying  i  should  ask  her  out  ,   then ?  ’

elliot smiled, glad to have a chance to talk to suzume. “well, the other option would be to not hang out with me, which seems like less fun.” she liked to think that she was doing zu a favor by letting her be in her presence, but she also wanted company and zu seemed like an ideal person to get that from. “oh, you know. broke into a secret lab, beat up some grown men. the usual.” she had rehashed the details many times already and things were starting to blur together, but they had been successful and that was what mattered most to her. “uh-” she laughed at suzume’s orders, feeling a little bad for the poor soul who’d walked by. “thanks, i guess.” chivalry wasn’t dead apparently, and she appreciated that the other girl was trying. she was well aware that she wasn’t much better at trying to help people and she wondered what else they had in common. “that was the second time i’ve left the country. the first was last summer, in berlin.” she seemed like the kind of person who had done a lot of traveling, something that still felt quite foreign to her.

            suzume  has  the  ability  to  be  pretentious  without  even  talking  ,   one  step  in  the  room  and  the  other  would  KNOW  she’s  someone  important  .   and  the  norm  ,   you  see  ,   back  in  japan  -  was  everyone  begging  to  be  on  her  good  side  .   it’s  not  like  that  anymore  ,   and  while  she  hated  it  at  first  ,   it’s  grown  on  her  ;   just  like  elliot  slowly  did  .    ‘  i’m  almost  disappointed  i  wasn’t  invited  .  ’    but  quite  frankly  ,   if  she’s  not  involved  ,   why  should  she  care ?   she’s  suzume  minamoto  ,   for  god’s  sake !   zu  chuckles  ,   legs  curling  underneath  herself  as  she  looks  at  elliot  .    ‘  what ?  you  never  commanded  a  person  before ?  you  should  give  it  a  shot  .   you’ve  got  what  ,   one  more  year  to  go ?  use  the  advantage  you  deserve  as  an  upperclassman  .  ’    listens  carefully  to  the  words  of  the  other  ,   head  tilting  to  the  side  .    ‘  and  how’d  you  like  it ?  did  it  give  you  more  of  a  yearning  heart  to  be  in  other  countries ?  ’

        IF IT WAS FROM ANYONE ELSE, kass might’ve taken it offensively. but with zu she can only smile impishly, because she knows she’s being irritating right now.   “ once or twice. you’re more than cute, anyway. you’re super hot. ”   cute sounds too similar to a cuddly animal, and kass would never tell anyone to cuddle with zu.   “ really ?    like, as friends ? ”   or did you make out again, is what she wants to know.

          kassandra  is  too  upbeat  for  her  own  good  ,   suzume  thinks  .   girl  really  needs  to  get  her  shit  in  order  ,   more  so  than  zu  does  -  but  that’s  truly  none  of  her  business  .    ‘  i  know  i  am  .   and  i  could  get  anyone  i  wanted  ,   if  i  wanted  .  ’    and  that’s  the  question  ,   isn’t  it ?  does  she  want  something  deeper  than  what’s  already  there ?  to  be  determined  .    ‘  i  believe  that  would  depend  on  your  definition  of  friends  ,   kassandra  -  ’   she  says  with  a  sigh  ,   giving  in  to  her  cousin  just  a  bit  .

“  i'm  sure  there'll  be  other  double  agent  opportunities . . if  that's  the  kind  of  thing  you  want  to  do . "  seb  shrugs ,  he’s  a  bad  liar  so  it  doesn’t  really  appeal  to  him . "  i  think  you'd  be  good  —  sakura  might  blow  your  cover ,  though .  " 

        ‘  fair  ,   but  i  almost  like  the  idea  of  being  hated  .   i  was  close  ,   with  one  of  those  -  to  being  hated  .  ’    tilts  her  head  back  ,   looks  up  at  him  through  dark  lashes  ,   darkness  passing  through  her  dark  for  a  fleeting  moment  .   ‘  that  carmichael-allister  guy  .   his  brother  tried  to  kill  me  .   so  i  threatened  him  .  ’    she  really  needs  to  get  better  at  story  telling  .

       “ SO PRETTY, ISN’T SHE ? ”   the gushing is immediate, wanting to piggyback off of what zu’s offered her, even though it isn’t much. kass shrugs at the question, feigning casualty.   “ oh, just curious. she thought you were cute too. ”   sorry elliot.   “ and i just think… i don’t know, i could see you two getting along. do you think you’ll hang out again ? ”

              ‘  has  anyone  ever  told  you  what  an  irritating  creature  you  can  be  ,   kassandra ?  ’    sometimes  it  makes  so  much  sense  that  she’s  adopted  ,   because  just  look  at  her  vibes  compared  to  the  rest  of  her  cousins  .    ‘  i  would  assume  so  .   i  am  cute  and  her  actions  don’t  show  otherwise  .  ’    brow  raises  at  her  .    ‘  i  already  have  ,   multiple  times  .  ’   kissing  was  involved  some  of  those  times  .

          (  @oofsebastian​  )    ‘  i  kinda  feel  like  i  missed  out  on  being  a  double  agent  .   don’t  you  think  i  woulda  made  a  good  one ?  ’    she  knows  she  would  have  .

despite what she liked people to believe, elliot was not invincible. fighting people twice her size was not always as simple as a single punch to the face if they too had years of training. it would’ve been nice to come home without getting battered and bruised, but she knew she had put her everything into this mission and she chose to wear the marks on her body like badges of honor. it was the only way she wouldn’t feel embarrassed. still, some of her bruises hurt and she curled up on a couch in a common room with an icepack on her side and a bowl of pineapple in her lap - she was skeptical that the fruit would actually help, but it was worth a try. when elliot looked up and saw suzume walking through the room she smiled. she was still unsure of how she felt or what she wanted, but she liked zu and she thought that seemed like a good place to start. she wasn’t sure if she wanted suzume to see her like this, but she did want to see her. “hey,” she called out, waving the other girl over. “wanna come sit with me?” @suzumefm​

           suzume  minamoto  is  not  the  caring  type  ;   it’s  not  in  her  blood  ,   not  in  her  dna  .   she’s  all  her  father  and  NOTHING  of  the  kind  person  her  mother  is  .   and  she  knows  she’s  lucky  to  have  blair  and  their  mom’s  around  ,   for  they’re  some  of  the  few  people  who’ve  seen  what  she  needed  and  found  ways  to  give  it  ,   without  jeopardizing  her  entire  self  .   AND YET  -  she  can’t  help  pursing  her  lips  as  she  finds  herself  in  elliot’s  gaze  of  direction  ,   said  lips  fighting  a  grin  .   maybe  she’s  gotten  soft  .   or  maybe  ,   she’s  found  a  way  to  care  without  feeling  like  she’s  losing  herself  .   either  way  ;   it’s  a  feat  for  the  japanese  princess  .    ‘  good  ,   you  know  how  to  give  a  princess  options  -  ’    she  teases  ,   light  chuckle  leaving  her  lips  as  she  does  so  .    ‘  i’ll  sit  ,   but  i’ll  want  a  story  time  .  ’    and  suzume  ,   while  never  knowing  how  to  care  for  others  ,   is  trained  in  taking  care  of  herself  -  and  so  she  reaches  for  the  icepack  ,   shakes  her  head  .    ‘  HEY ,  FIRST  YEAR  -  ’   she  yells  as  one  passes  by  a  door  ,   they  quivering  as  they  come  forward  .    ‘  go  get  us  two  new  ice  packs  -  ’   she  continues  before  shooing  them  off  as  she  gets  comfortable  next  to  the  brunette  .

       “hm? oh, right, yeah. food. um .. it looks good! you made it yourself?” he asked before he dove in to take a bite anyway. food was food after all.

            has  to  LAUGH  at  thought  of  her  cooking  ,   she  shaking  her  head  .    ‘  i  don’t  do  cooking  .  ’    she  does  violence  and  revenge  .   anyways  .    ‘  i  ordered  my  favorite  chef  back  home  to  come  in  to  cook  for  me  .  ’    with  permission  from  her  aunt  ,   of  course  .

       “ I HEARD YOU MET MY FRIEND ELLIOT. ”   kass does her best to keep her voice even, but the smallest smile peeks out from her lips.   “ what do you think of her ? ”    @suzumefm​

             ‘  she’s  competent  ,   pretty  .  ’    and  that’s  all  she’s  really  going  to  tell  anyone  about  elliot  besides  elliot  herself  .   suzume  minamoto  doesn’t  waste  words  .    ‘  why ?  ’   it’s  asked  in  a  monotone  ,   girl  straightening  out  and  shaping  her  bangs  to  perfection  .

        ‘  and  god  knows  half  this  school  needs  some  character  to  it  .  ’    because  everyone  is  so  bland  with  their  tragic  sob  stories  and  she’s  bored  .   life  is  shit  ,   stop  pitying  yourself !    ‘  you  and  i  will  rule  this  world  one  day  ,   sis  .  ’
