Have any Hamburr headcanons? 👀

alex is very much a “i do not understand personal space” kinda person bc i hc him as touch starved and attention starved. burr is similar in a way, but he respects personal space (for the most part… aside from when he is trying to flirt/court) and isn’t so obvious in his need for affection.

i also hc that alex drops in at burrs residence in more than just that one occasion in non-stop…. he probably drops by unannounced frequently bc “i need thinking space! a house full of family is a house full of distraction” he will say, and burr will silently reprimand him bc BOY DOES ALEX TAKE A LOT FOR GRANTED,,, ham insists burrs family when home is rather quiet and not as full. ANYWAY, he drops by a lot to write, or ask for opinions, or debate when necessary…also maybe burr is in the midst of preparing a late meal after his family has gone to bed… and maybe alex hasnt eaten yet today…

burr tries to get alex to take care of himself…he often takes the quills and ink away when he’s desperate and blows out all the candle nubs. insists that he can stay on burrs couch or sleep in the rocking chair… albeit that may seem uncomfortable.

alex hovers around burr a lot when he isnt preoccupied with writing or something else of that nature…. burr becomes irritable but the closeness is nice and he may be a little infatuated with alexander’s pure curiosity. alex has a lot of little adorable mannerisms too that burr finds endearing, though he might not admit it….alex has a habit of getting ink on his fingers and then he will touch his face to scratch an itch or something…or blow waywards strands of hair out of his face without moving his hands….or stick his tongue out ever so slightly while he concentrates. and alex in turn admires burr, despite their differing attitudes and occasional views.

burr gives alex a lot of friendly touches, which alex tends to revel in and take as invitation to invade burrs space further… reads over his shoulder, leans against him, touches the inside of his wrist or knee to get his attention…

burr will take physical action to get alex to listen if need be (kinda like that cast give i reblogged earlier), grabs him by the shoulders or uppers arms to direct him places, one time he has lifted him away from someone, but only briefly bc alex squirms like the devil…

when they kiss it’s surprisingly tentative??? despite alex’s nature… he is hesitant in this before burr responds in kind and alex’s switch flips and he is as passionate as he is small
