Triv x Slowpoke - All That Matters
“Triv and Slowpoke are just a couple dudes from Milwaukee trying to express ourselves through music. We sampled a cool vine and created a track that highlights our emphasis on unique textures and complex percussion. You can expect some more vibes from us in the near future. Thanks for listening.” - Triv x Slowpoke / Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Supertask - Compatible
“My name is Kyle Bishoff, Im 24 years old, Im from Bend Oregon, and I go by Supertask. I wrote the track ‘Compatible’ in one night, after a very emotional day. I just finished attending Icon Collective, and moved back to my hometown. I was still a bit culture shocked from the move, and needed to vent, so I wrote this piece. I wasn't sure if making the move back to my hometown was a great fit or not yet, and i was very unsure of myself. Writing this song helped me gather my thoughts and do a bit of self searching. In the coming months, I have a big release schedule, so expect lots of new music. Also I am going to try to incorporate a visual esthetic soon, to pair with my sounds. It was an honor to be released on a label i have looked up to for a long time!”
- Supertask / Bend, Oregon CharlestheFirst - Vimoka
“I made ‘vimoka’ the day that I cut my hair after growing it out for like 3 years. Vimoka means 'letting go' in sankskit. I feel like this track is about letting go of a difficult past, and being thankful for what we have right at this moment. This coming year I'll be playing at symbiosis festival, doing a us tour, and working on / releasing a new creative project.” - CharlestheFirst / Lake Tahoe, California HOME - Moiré Fringes “I'm a 20 year old music person from Florida, who happens to makes music as Home. The song I contributed to this years compilation is called "Moiré Fringes", and it's based off of a demo I did over a year ago, and its got lots of fluttery synths and spring reverb sounds. For the near future I'm mostly going to be working on new material, but fingers crossed that some day I'll be able to get out and play some shows!”
- HOME / Punta Gorda, Florida
Richard Alfaro - Inside
“Music has always been a key part of my life. My productions are pretty much a reflection of myself on any given day. I'm always exploring different blends of synthetic and acoustic sounds. I created "Inside" as an outlet/introspective, using sounds I had been experimenting with at the time. I'm always exploring new techniques and pushing my sound into different directions. I've never felt like my sound really fit in anywhere, so shout out to SVNSET WAVES for the all the support and opportunities over the past year! Also expect a new EP coming soon! keep an eye out for tracks by: above, Tainsus, and Tocaio” - Richard Alfaro / El Paso, Texas edapollo - Lucid "I'm a multi instrumentalist / electronic producer based in Bristol, UK. The song 'Lucid' was a track I started writing on New Years Day earlier this year, I always find there's a strange feeling on New Years Day, it's quite a reflective time, I felt like wanted to make something new to start the year off with some fresh creative energy. The track started with me just playing around on my acoustic guitar and then I gradually built everything around it. It came together really quick and it's probably one of the most chilled tracks I've ever written. I left the track for a while though, as I felt there was still something missing, then at some stage I realised Henric Eeph played sax so I sent the track over to him, he laid down some beautiful ideas which helped complete the track. Right now I'm producing lots of new music and will have another release ready later this year. I'm also doing a lot of graphic design for other artists which I'm really enjoying, check out my stuff here: www.edbidgood.com” - edapollo / Bristol, United Kingdom SUPERFLU - INTO THE FOREST “Superflu is a project founded in 2004 in Prato, a small industrial city in Tuscany, Italy. His passion for music made him explore many various musical scenes, starting from rock as a guitarist, going ahead with keyboards in different bands, reaching subsequently to the real role of electronic music producer mixing the sounds of analog synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers. The sounds gained after years of production is a unique mix of deep, organic, psychedelic and contagious electronic music. 'Into the forest' is a state of mind where you let everything go and follow the instinct that shows us the way without worries, experiencing life and what surrounds.” - SUPERFLU / Prato, Tuscany, Italy woosta - fruit “my name is Sage and I have been on earth since 19 years ago.. making music helps me sleep at night. I make songs from my heart about things i care about, other times its just a song for learning and exploring vibes. All I care about is truth and love and spreading it. I made that song under the influence of mainly mandarins, strawberries, bananas, kiwi fruits and some herbs. I have been eating ALOT of fruit lately and have been developing a deep appreciation for the perfect colourful bundles of vitamins and minerals, (...on the other hand my tolerance for being okay with my fellow humans enjoying eating corpse is going down). All there is, is here, now. I have no idea what i will make in the coming months! but im hella excited to find out :^)” - woosta / Victoria, Australia RRAREBEAR - Turquoise “I am RRAREBEAR - a producer and infinite being from albany, ny. I am interested in beauty, nectars, gems and anything rich and organic. My track Turquoise for SVMMER SVN vol. 4 is inspired by my infatuation with cool colors, nature, and water. The french voice in the track is a sample from a beautiful, sensitive and highly intelligent actress I know from New Caledonia - shoutout to her for letting me use her voice on this track for your listening pleasure. I often produce music for myself, singers and hip hop artists and I will continue to do so until my inspiration leads me to another place. I am grateful for all. Bless.” - RRAREBEAR / Albany, New York Jonas Obermüller - Enna
“I'm a Sound Designer & Musician currently based in Frankfurt/Germany who is always looking for new ways to create and interact with sound. My tracks contain organic and electronic elements, combining sample manipulation along with recordings from instruments and analog gear. Enna was a result that came out of developing tracks for an initial upcoming EP release.” - Jonas Obermüller / Frankfurt, Germany
adamlondon - tethered
“my name is adam london. im 27 years old hailing from chicago, IL. i grew up mostly on the west coast and migriated to the midwest where i found my love for music. the sound i provided is called tethered. it reminds me that being grounded or (tethered) isnt so bad as long as you have great company with great vibes. i am currently working on my debut EP which in hopes is ready to drop in september. if you enjoy some relaxing tunes i think youll love my EP in the works!” - adamlondon / Chicago, Illinois Soulless - breathe slow
“My name’s Fio, I’m from Moscow (Russia). I’m eighteen years old, been making hip-hop and electronic music on and off for about four years now. Biggest inspirations are probably FlyLo, Nosaj Thing, Sam Gellaitry, and all the lofi dudes on soundcloud like Wun Two, [bsd.u], HM surf. I made this track while rewatching some of my favorite Miyazaki films (Nausicaa, The Wind Rises, Kiki). I wanted to recreate the ethereal and nostalgic quality of his films, especially the feel of the flying sequences - some of the most breathtaking animation I’ve ever seen. I’ve been mostly unhappy with how much work I’ve done in the past two years so now I’m buckling down and getting to work. I’m going to college now so I’m really gonna try to work on music as much as possible. I’m going to release an album by the end of August so make sure to check that out once it’s finished.” - Soulless / Moscow, Russia Alper - Grassblades “Hey guys, i'm Alper and right now I'm living in Irvine, California. My song "Grassblades" is one i started a while back and just sat on for a while. I got back to it this summer and after working on it again it felt like it became a whole new track. In the coming months except more music and a live show at the SVNSET WAVES showcase. Peace!” - Alper / Irvine, California fzpz - shoreline "My name is Jarren from Singapore and I'm 22 this year. I've been playing/making music for as long as I can remember and it was such an honour to have my track be featured despite it being pieced together in two days. I thoroughly enjoyed the process in making it and everything seemed to have just clicked and I just knew I was satisfied with it when I sent it over. Things for me have been slowing down but I'm playing live shows more as of late. I feel quality triumphs over quantity and I want every work I put out to be as best I can make it to be as possible, thus explains the minimal output of tracks lately. But yeah don't get me wrong check my soundcloud/facebook page for updates as always and big love to SVNSET WAVES!” - fzpz / Singapore Glass Arrowhead - Agatha “I am from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, I have been playing music for about a decade but I have only been doing electronic music for about 5 years. Before that I was in a punk band! Outside of music I write screen plays and I am co-curare phonotecture along with with Sam Duffy(s. Lyre) and Luke Brown l.lyre (aka superb lyres) and Niklas shahly (aka shahly). The song Agatha was named after a character in Wes Andersons film Grand Budapest Hotel. I liked the name because the song reminded me of her. I have been trying to implement medleys into the finale of my song that are comprised of earlier parts of the song, so this was an attempt at that! For the future I am dropping some more songs soon! I have something tasty coming up with night owl and have a lot of tracks in the works! Trying set up some shows in the greater Boston area and elsewhere!” - Glass Arrowhead / Portsmouth, New Hampshire Kempeh - May I “I’m Kempeh born and raised in Vancouver, Canada and have been making electronic music for 5 years now… I only want to make people dance and fall in love ❤ “May I” is a sonic representation about taking a leap with your loved one, breaking the rules and live out your spontaneity under the sun… This will be my 13th release in the past 6 months and that’s not gonna change, can’t stop, won’t stop… Thank you all for the love and support ❤ and congrats to everyone on this release!” - Kempeh / Vancouver, Canada kuiters - who up “3 years ago I started this project on summer vacation. I was pretty bored and listening to an artist named savant I really wanted to try out this music creating experience first hand. It is very satisfying to create music and give something back to the world for people that enjoy this kind of music. This track just started out as a "throwaway project" as most projects do, with this attitude you really can try things out and then it eventually evolves to something more. If you're on the lookout for new artists to check out, I definitely recommend LMO, verzache and Alejandro.” - kuiters / Rosmalen, Netherlands
Ykwo - Come back to you “I'm 21 years old, living in france, and i’ve wanted to be a musician since my childhood. I started first to play guitar, then drums. I played a bit in bands but i was frustrated because i felt like i wasn’t making my own songs, so I naturally started to produce music on my computer. I use music to express things that i can't with words or using it as an alternative to pray, which is the case with this song "come back to you" because the idea of returning to god gives me much joy, so i tried to make something soft, joyful, and a bit surprising to be closer to this feeling. I have lot of inspiration and ideas since my first ep released with SVNSET WAVES so for future i plan to work more on music in order to improve myself and try to make something better, interesting and maybe new; i'm starting to work on my live set in the hope to perform live soon. i also hope to travel to the US one day to be closer to the music i love and the people who make it.” - Ykwo / Rouen, France AAMAR - Estara “I am AAMAR, a musician and producer from Luxembourg somewhere in Europe. I have been making music for 5 years now; i released an album this february called DRIPS on Sun Glitters Platform. i made 'Estara' on the plane to Barcelona. as i was visiting the city it was all i could listen to. normally i don't listen to my songs after i finish them. i think it has become one of my favorites this far. I'm working on my second album for next year, that's all I can say.” - AAMAR / Luxembourg, Europe PVLMS - Bending Coast “PVLMS is an electronic duo consisting of members Lexi Sacco and Frank Stevens. The duo is known for eclectic music that doesn’t necessarily represent one given genre, but holds consistent house influences. Both Texas natives began producing independently in their early teens and have been producing together for the past three years. Bending Coast is a transitional ambient track with minor hip-hop influences and a steady atmosphere. The track aims to replicate nostalgic memories of playing outdoors as a child. In Oklahoma for one more year, the duo will be playing two sets at Backwoods Music Festival as well as many other local shows and mini-fests." - PVLMS / Texas | Oklahoma | California Bevan. - You & Me “Bevan is a 20 year old producer/writer. 'You & Me' was written around April, everything else I had out at the time didn't really demonstrate the level of technicality in production that I feel I had. So I wanted to try something a little different and focus more on production rather than the musicality of a song. I guess the way the track develops and plays out, sort of matches the unexpected turns and surprises that can occur between two people who are together for some time. The song may well have been a little outpouring of my life at that time. My EP Love Eternal comes out later this year. Features my newer sound.” - Bevan. / Brighton, United Kingdom woods - answer “what's up! my name is Ben Woods, I'm 21 years old and I currently go to MTSU in TN for Music Business. I've been producing for about 2 years now and have played guitar since I was a young lad. This past month Ive been experimenting with omnisphere and my track "answer" on SVMMER SVN vol. 4 is inspired by the diverse natural aspects of life. In the next few months I'll be working on more songs and practicing with a live band to eventually record my first album!” - woods / Nashville, Tennessee cameragrammar - fade “Hi, I'm cameragrammar, and I try to make electronic music that evokes feeling, whether it’s melancholic or joyous. Either way, I hope it can get you dancing at least a little. I began this beat from a simple idea in my head that I just had to get up and record, and was fortunate enough to make a tune out of it! Between eating burritos and copious amounts of sushi, I’m usually working on new music, and can’t wait to share it in the very near future with you.”
- cameragrammar / Los Angeles, California ateller x bae bro - ode to dreams “I'm a Bedroom Beat Junkie and a student of self taught Jazz out of the New York school of hard knocks. Ateller and I met playing Keys and drums on the Scene and after we realized how well we clicked personally, we got together and made a few joints. This is one of them and we hope to put some more out in the future. I tour with Sza, And are a Vibe Music Collective Representative with music coming out soon with a lot of different projects. One of these releases will be my own sometime soon!” - bae bro - ateller x bae bro / Queens, New York Spectre - Traveller “Hey! I’m Spectre, I’m 19 years old and I like making tunes. I usually make ambient/drone/minimal type stuff, but sometimes I like to break out of my shell and make cool cheery beat type stuff like my song ‘Traveller’ for this album. It started out as just a loop of chords and drums a few months ago but when i found out i had the opportunity to get a song released on this album i opened it back up and spent all day at the computer to finish it. Its named ‘Traveller’ because of the trip i was planning with my friends at the time i finished it, and i hope to finish many more like it when i get back from the trip with some fresh ideas!” - Spectre / Hopewell, New Jersey Bplrxxiii - Boreal Shamanism “BPLRXXIII aka bipolar23 is an artist of many nationalities having resided in Québec, Canada for several years. He is inspired by all the contrasts that nature has to offer. Specifically the Boreal Forest where he can find some divine purity in the environment, "as in the womb of my mother", which results in the entire audible dimensions of space. This is how he makes his soundz. He then transforms it to create an electro-idm-ambient-forest together. The track Boréal Shamanism is exclusively made with soundz from the boréal forest and i wanted to exposed my vision of the energy who comes out of the ground.”
- Bplrxxiii / Québec, Canada Ikotu - Away “My name is Oliver. Ikotu is how I used to pronounce ‘Helicopter’ when I was learning to speak. I can say it properly now. This track ‘Away' is mainly made using cut up recordings of a late night wine and smoke-fuelled jam with my close friend and a wonderful musician, Ram. He is singing and I’m trying to play the kalimba. I’ve been working on a lot of new music the last few months after having a painfully frustrating creative block for almost a year, including a new collaboration with my friend Baz / M.O.T.O. which I’m very very excited about. I hope you enjoy the track - one love x” - Ikotu / Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Feiertag - State of Mind “Feiertag is the alter ego of Dutch drummer and producer, Joris Feiertag. Recording and performing since 2014, his sound can be described as electronic yet warm, and with a preference for innovative syncopated rhythms, poppy melodies and a good vocal if he finds one. Moreover, Feiertag's live reputation has recently been catching even more heat due to a successful EP presentation at legendary Amsterdam pop temple Paradiso, where, for the first time, his live act featured a permanent second band member. Currently Feiertag is focusing on his new single (release around September), remix work and performing nationally and internationally.” - Feiertag / Utrecht, Netherlands Tainsus - sunset to sunrise “Tainsus is an electronic musician based in Paris. He uses vintage synths and drum machines to make music. The track for this album was made for a chill-out night in the summer.” - Tainsus / Paris, France
Your Gay Thoughts - Aperol Spritz “YGT is a Ljubljana based post-pop ansamble who recently released their debut album, 'The Watercolors' on King Deluxe and 'Exotic Moods EP' on Prrrrrrr Records. They mostly make downtempo music and play it live but at one point they decided to create an alternative version of their live act - a dancefloor friendly set they can play in clubs and that's when the track Aperol Spritz came to life. The band was building the track around a sample from Barbarella OST from 68' that helped a lot to build up the homoerotic summerish boat cruise vibe of the featured song. In the following months, Your Gay Thoughts are releasing 'The Watercolors' remix EP on King Deluxe, another EP on King Deluxe they recorded a few months back and in 2017 they'll be working on a film score for a project with a NYC based video artist Sam Mason.” - Your Gay Thoughts / Ljubljana, Slovenia
John Looke - She Was Flames “OG from Minneapolis, moved down to Austin, Texas almost 3 years ago to force myself into a situation where I had more opportunities with music and to networking myself. “She Was Flames” is simply about that girl you can’t build up the balls to talk to and then she’s gone forever. Usually make chill/jazzy/slow beats, but sometimes you have to make music for people to dance to… I’m putting out my first physical release (cassette) ep coming in the fall through my good friends at Hot Record Societé. Shout out to Corbin for bringing all these people together!” - John Looke / Austin, Texas Klunks - Skews skews “Klunks is an experimental electronic composer based in Bergen- Norway. He studied jazz guitar as a youngster and then quickly moved onto synthesizers and beat making, retaining the exploration of jazz and its creative sensibility. He works outside/across genre branding and instead fuses together a hybrid tapestry of broken signs and collapsing head-spaces that dissolves the edges of idioms. He works with acoustic techniques, analogue synthesis and rhythmical pulses borrowed from found sounds and field recordings. He has a new album coning out in October on Hush Hush records entitled “Hollow Scenes” which is a deep immersive exploration of timbre, tonality, electronic gesticulation and improvisation. He is also part of the duo “Perfume” that will be releasing their debut EP on Hot Gem records sometime in October.” - Klunks / Bergen, Norway Levitin - Rise “Levitin was created out of a deep love for a blend of natural/atmospheric sounds and up-beat; uplifting electornic music. My goal is to seed inspiration and provoke emotion into the minds of people that listen. This song is a new horizon for Levitin, as it is a jump into a new genre of future bass and atmospheric sounds. Levitin will be innovating his new tracks further in order to reach new heights. Expect more shows and tracks from the southern California region.” - Levitin / Irvine, California Sleepdebt - Connected “I'm a producer and DJ living in Manchester, UK. The track I contributed to the compilation is an unusually bright one for me, and takes inspiration from the movie Her. I'm working on quite a lot of new stuff right now, and will hopefully release something else soon. Cheers for listening xoxo” - Sleepdebt / Manchester, United Kingdom Tocaio - Bonfire “Tocaio (FKA Tapes) is the musical alias of Hector Carlos Ramirez. Drawing inspiration from the city of Austin, TX, Tocaio attempts to bridge the gap between bands and producers. Bonfire, the second single from upcoming full-length "Pointillism" blends organic percussion with processed beats to create a palate of sounds reminiscent of a low-key fall evening. Tocaio will release Pointillism in the fall of 2016, and will embark on a regional tour beginning in August.” - Tocaio / Austin, Texas Salvador S.Owwl - Wishes Made of Sand “Salvador S. Owwl is a french musician from Nantes who, after some years in a blues-rock band, began to melt electronic production with guitars, saxophone and an idea of music where every note should inspire visuals in minds. At the crossroad of Electronica, Progressive music and Blues, Salvador S. Owwl, aka Pablo Espallergues created Sand and Wishes with an all new guitar and amp, the sound changed and began a long ballad about hope. You can picture a light onto a dark seaside. A light where owls and seagulls all get attracted by. In the next months, he plans to press his album (vinyl and cd). You can order it HERE. And during his architecture studies, he will play some lives with his friend from always, Yolive Keanu! Keep your mind focused... more news to come very soon!” - Salvador S.Owwl / Nantes, France
above - sunshine “hi, I go by above. I'm a texas native, located in dfw. I love music that expresses feeling, so I attempt to do that when I'm working. I feel like this song expresses joy more than anything & a happy moment of my life. I'm currently working on multiple collaborations & an ep that I hope to share around winter.” - above / Fort Worth, Texas
