Sunshine Cyanide [a guide]
Welcome to Sunshine’s Corner
Hey there! Welcome one and all to my corner of The Zones (as long as you’re not one of those damn Draculoids.) The names Sunshine Cyanide, most call me Sunshine, some call me Sunny I’ve been traveling The Zones for just about as long as i can remember. I mostly travel alone, but I love sharing my stories with all those willing to lend an ear.
It’s been an eternity since I’ve seen anyone other than Cloud patrols out here. If you’re out there say something. I’ve been out on the road chasing a dust trail or two and the glass is always half empty, but that’s the gravity for you.
Somehow I got all the way up here in Battery City I managed to get my paws on some electrokats and got my vend-a-hack back in working order. I’ve gotten stocked up on supplies so if you need help you know how to reach me.

hey, is this thing connected? i've heard you on the airwaves, but the messages sound pre-recorded. you out there, 'shine?
I’m hearing you Ca$h I’ve gotta get my hands on some more ElectroKat’s this damn radio’s got two left feet in the grave and the quality out here at the motel isn’t the best. Good to hear a fimilar voice surfing the zones. Sometimes the zones feel like the loneliest place on earth, but i’m not going to let the gravity weigh me down. Let me know next time you find yourself at the diner, i’d love to chat about our zone adventures.

thanks 'shine, nice to have some company on air these days. i've actually been in need of some more food, been a bit too long sucking on cactus roots. i can hit up the diner whenever -- i might be hungry but my Honda's got all the fuel she needs. maybe you can teach me a bit more zonetalk while you're at it. kids are runnin' me into ditches with the lingo.
Absolutely Ca$h, honestly i can hear my stomach rumbling, a bite to eat is sounding fantastic, this damn motel is making me cage mad. I can head that way now, probably be there in an hour and a half flat, oh and i won’t forget my journal, i’ve gotta write down all this terminology to understand a damn thing this new plague of Batt Rats who have hit the red line. Maybe while we’re at it you can help me get in touch with a black smith, my ray gun is still busted might be time for a new one. I’m heading to my car now, should be at the diner by mid day.
just made it to the diner. by the Witch, i never would have figured this place'd still be open. i've got enough carbons to cover a meal, assuming they haven't changed their prices, and a gun in case they have.
Hey, looks like i’ve got a few extra carbons on me, no reason to upset the locals, probably the easiest way to lead a cloud of dracs straight for us. I’m not looking for a one way ticket to become a gravehead. Ya know after we get a bite to eat i’ve got a working vend-a-hack if we spot any bl/ind vending machines we can reup on supplies.
This isn’t normally my thing, but while i’m in the car making my way to the diner i figure i’d share my favorite song off this cd i’ve got stuck in my cd player , the album is called 21st century break down and it’s by a band called Green Day. This song is called ‘Before the Lobotomy’ now all you crash kings and rubber burners don’t you dare forget to buckle up, and NEVER stop running.

Looks like whoever sent that signal has done gone and gotten themselves dusted, and it sure looks like I got my ray gun busted in the chaos the dracs are strong in numbers, i guess i better head forward to my next adventure, finding a blacksmith to fix this damn ray gun. Keep you’re head high and never forget to keep running.

Woke up this morning rain dead at The Motel and through that radio static I heard someone calling out. It seems to be some kind of distress signal. I gotta say it left me beamless and i’m hoping things don’t wind up all Costa Rica this time around.
Seems like i better get running, before these Tumbleweeds get CLAPPED by another cloud. Looks like i’ve got some bacon to fry. I’ll be traveling on Route Guano it’s sounding like the call is coming from an abandoned factory way down Zone 6. I will be seeing all you Killjoys on the flip side.

I’ve made it to The Motel in Zone 5. Thankfully it’s looking like the Dracs haven’t been in this area too heavy, better yet seems like there are still some of us around.
To anyone out there seeking companionship in the zones, The Motel is still a safe spot for us killjoys. On the bright side it looks like there are a couple vacant rooms, and truthfully I could use a friend to talk to, the zones are lonely.
I just finished setting up my dark room in the closet of this room, it’s not very big but it’ll work for now, and it looks like i’m staying in 3b for now.
I just finished a roll of film so i’ve got some photos to develop, this has been Sunshine Cyanide signing off.
This is my first audio log entry of my journey through The Zones. Not sure how many people like us are left out here, seems like a lot of us got ZAPPED or turned to Dracs.
Speaking of, the Draculoid patrols have been thick in my area recently and I fear it’s time to move again. I’ve gotten all my things packed up, even all my dark room supplies, all the chemicals are sealed tight so they should be no issue in transport.
I guess that’s all for now, for now i’ve got to run.

Heard someone out here in the zones was looking for a new map of the zones, found this crumpled up, had a hell of a time getting it flattened out, but i gotta say it’s pretty crisp quality, anyways this is Sunshine Cyanide signing off, don’t forget to keep running.
