independent rp blog for hesperos of ffxiv. primary use is as non-ffxiv aus, including f/go, pkmn, non-fandom traditional and modern fantasy. i dont have any beef with xiv fandom its just quiet.
he's a vampire (sort of). let him into your house. you will surely not regret letting a normal man into your house. written by cato, 25+, english. lit, non-private.
"A tragedy is what makes a man. It builds upon the foundation of the soul, presenting them challenges. One can not go through life without experiencing such things. Without it, one can not grow" She mused, fingers flipping through the latest 'borrowed' manuscript.
"yet the tragedies presented as a genre almost to a rule result in death, functional or literal, of the protagonist. if all you wished was conflict, that could be gotten from any story." not the answer he expected from her, but that only makes the inquiry more dogged. hesperos leans forward a bit, arms crossed. "so then, one where the protagonist survives, or is fully ripened for the end before consequences get him? if you seek challenges successfully overcome, that script is not where you'll find it."
@soulgathered
he's watched nitocris pass by, chin propped in his hand, before idly calling her to come over. such a thing is probably a rude way to address a pharaoh -- far too casual. but therein lies the problem, you see. "your appearance is brazen, but it doesn't match your demeanor. nor the title you uphold." problem presented, solution offered. hesperos points a finger to her. "let me craft for you a new outfit."
@valkyroffate
"as one who enjoys tragedies -- i've seen your mane on requisitions from the library system -- i do have important questions for you. firstly, what is it you most seek from those tragedies?" he's cornered her, a little bit. a playwright in need will not be deterred.
"i'm going to put on the best talent show this humanity has ever seen."

"now, now. it might seem quieter here than the storm outside, but this is no place for a lone magus." skadi has built a quiet little idyll for herself, even if there are jotuun wandering about in some of the oases that human settlements aren't allowed.
one can't be blamed for thinking that the dale chaldea's master found herself in is safe, with little magical signatures and far off from the seeds of emptiness. yet here he's been sent by a polite request from an 'affiliate' to ensure she emerges unscathed, to the next stop on this path. "the plains of scandinavia are full of monsters. not that i myself am counted among them, mind you."
the shielder isn't even here to protect her. a stranger will have to do, man clad in a cloak of raven-feather and a little too eerie to be human. servants are often strange, though, he can blend in. assuredly. "you're the star upon humanity's stage, and i've a vested interest in ensuring the play goes on. my name is hesperos, saber." if she looks too closely, she may be able to tell he does not have a heroic spirit's composition. if she looks less closely, he carries a blade and that should be enough. "i am here to aid you back to the main story."
something's telling her that wild shrieks knife through the deep...
come storm the gate. nothing bad will happen to you, surely
@brilliantpride
She's accosted from behind, Hesperos abruptly leaning over her should after near about materializing from shadows. "Rejoice, mage." Such things are often said before receiving excellent news. Hesperos is grinning at her, which is also a thing portending fortune. Obviously.
"I've perused much of Chaldea's records. You've fought in a few pseudo-Grail Wars-- 'grail fronts', as your technical advisor has taken to labeling them. And yet none functioned in a way similar to a proper Grail War, and thus failing as an imitation exercise. I've written a script and arranged the actors to remedy this, and you, I've decided, shall be the star." A hand descends to her shoulder, fully prepared to drag her off should she argue, though that is unexpected.
He's aware she likes a challenge. And to be the center of attention. "A plucky young hero, thrust into a darkened city where a ritual brews at the center, one she knows little of its machinations! Consider it!" As in, think of this scene. Not 'consider accepting', her accepting is non-negotiable. "So, select a Servant. There shall be but one you are allowed, as this will mimic a proper war. I will even allow you the choice of class." How magnanimous! "And then we shall properly outfit you for the scene."
