you were attending your first seventeen fan sign
although all the svt members were all older than you
and you were a much younger carat
it didn’t stop you from loving each member
he was the one that stood at to you
and of course he was older than you
so you make your way into the venue
finding a good place to sit
you came alone bc none of your friends stanned svt
you wait patiently with the other carats
you see a group of girls from your class
and you weren’t close to them
always giving you dirty looks in class
they would always say mean comments
but you of course, ignored them
but before you can glare at them any harder
they wave before greeting all their fans
then they take their seats and the fansign begins
after waiting for a good 40 minutes
he asks for your name as he signs your album
and it was the same routine for 11 other members
you took a deep breath before kneeling in front of him
he spoke enthusiastically
and he reminded you why you loved him so much
you pull his gift out and place it on the table
he grabs his gift and smiles
he opens it and a big smile is plastered on his face
you bought him an oversized crewneck
you wanted him to wear it for practice or as airport fashion
he hands it to the staff and they place it safely away
he grabs the sharpie next to him and prepares to write your name
vernon smiles and begins to write
“to the cutest carat, y/n!”
after that, he signs his name
“do you have any questions?”
you think for a quick second
you wanted to ask something valuable
“how do you deal with negativity?”
vernon looks at you before leaning in
“surround yourself with positivity, in the end, it’s only you that matters”
and you completely understood them
it was easier said than done
“I hope you can come see us again”
vernon winks before you leave
after the fansigning was over
the boys performed dwc as their closing song
you couldn’t stop thinking about vernon’s advice
you wanted to take it seriously
you had to stop worrying about the negative people in your class
once the whole thing was over
you wait before the whole crowd leaves
it was always easier to wait
than to go with the whole crowd
once the venue clears out
you notice that a bunch of carats were waiting in the front
they were waiting for seventeen to enter the van
you had to get home quick
your parents barely even let you come
you looked around for an easier way off that street
you finally found an alley from the side of the venue
you quickly make your way to the alley
but something blocks your path
you look up and see the girls from your class
you give them an annoyed glance
“what is it? I’m trying to go home”
you try to go around them but one girl blocks your path
“what the hell do you want?”
“why did you even come? you’re not a real carat, seventeen doesn’t need a fan like you”
her words stabbed your heart
because you absolutely adored seventeen
they made you so so happy
and to hear from someone that you weren’t a carat,
all of your heads snap back
you see vernon coming out from the side door of the venue
“are you guys even a carat? carats love each other, they support each other just as much as they support us”
“so why are you bringing her down?”
vernon walks to your side, in front of them
the girls literally quiver
but you knew they were full of it
vernon takes your hand and walks the opposite direction the fans were waiting
there was another van waiting in the back
“is that where you question came from?”
you look down and play with your fingers
“if they treat other fans like that, they aren’t a real fan”
vernon sighs and shakes his hand
“don’t worry about them, if we make you happy, keep supporting us”
vernon’s words were comforting
you tell the driver which way to go
and you also get an opportunity to tell vernon how much you support him
and how happy he makes you
he smiles and blushes like crazy
you almost forgot that vernon was an idol
you point at your house and gather your stuff
“thank you for everything”
“thank you for always looking out for me”
vernon replies and it warms your heart
he hugs you before you leave
“don’t forget my advice, okay?”
you nod and step out of the car
he waves at you and you do the same
it was the best day of your life
you promised you take vernon’s advice
“surround yourself with positivity”

I really wanted to throw some life advice in there, because I know it can be hard sometimes, and not all fans in any fandom are nice to other fans, and it’s sad, but never forget, you don’t need albums or merch or to see your idol live to be considered a fan. wether you’re a new fan or a fan that’s stanned since debut, it doesn’t matter! your love for your idol is the only thing that matters! so don’t let anyone make you feel upset bc you don’t stan ‘hard enough’ or been a stan ‘for a long time’! thank you guys for your support! ily all! x.
