Remember when the Nein went to Essek's Towers in Rosohna and they were empty, bland, sterile, and every door was locked? He barely knew what to offer them when he'd invited them to breakfast.

Now he has a home that's warm, and lived in, an absolute MESS, where guests are allowed to wander freely. Where there is tea and stale cookies and the touches of his friends; where he takes off his mantle and dons the scarf of the man he loves because it smells like him and it isn't quite *home* without him.

I think it's ironic that after so many complaints that Bells Hells didn't have any particularly strong connection to the gods, that's what's going to end up saving the world.

Because let's assume that Ludinus already knows what the Occultus Thalamus will show. That it shows the gods at their absolute worst, betraying their own worshippers to create untold destruction on the innocents of Aeor. That the gods deserve to be overthrown. Let's say all that is true.

The Hells don't care.

They're not here for the gods.

They're here to stop an egotistical old man who thinks he's better than the gods. They're here to stop this man who has already hurt them and so many others.

Imagine if they were here for the gods though. What would happen if their trust in their gods is shattered by what they see? Who's there to pick them up, tell them that they have the power to fight back against the being that deceived and oppressed them?
