Call me Blue!
I just want to write about my favorite fictional men, and read, of course.
I won't say my exact age, but I am not a minor just in case you're worried.
Just watched the live action adaptation of the Odyssey, and it did NOT disappoint. I was a little skeptical of the cast beforehand, but HOLY MOLY did they do well. I'm extremely satisfied with this movie and it's almost 3 hour long length. The only thing I noticed they missed is the whole Odysseus telling Polythemus his name was Nobody.
Anyways, I'm listening to Epic the musical right now.

No one remembers how the tradition started.
In the city of Elareth, there is a coming of age ceremony that all citizens are expected to participate in. On the eve of their 10th birthday, a child is sent into the Drakfar Wood and must find their way home. Most return on their own within a few hours, some a little longer, and a few make it by dawn. Those who don’t are thought to be dead, taken by the beasts hidden in the forest.
It’s common knowledge that Drakfar is the territory and home of Werewolves. A pack, though no one knows how small or large their numbers are. Children grow up and learn that when you see someone with a furry set of pointy ears and tail, it’s one of the beasts. Your only hope is to either run to find help, or hide and pray it doesn’t find you. But those poor children who never return are without help and unfortunate enough to be caught by them.
This tradition was part of Elareth’s proud heritage. It proved they were ready for the next stage of their life and were no longer depending on their parents for guidance. There were very few who actually liked this rite of passage, considering the children who were taken by the beasts. But it was in their laws, and no one ever tried to break it. Not even the royals.
The cold December air nipped at the girl's face as she followed Father Quince through the forest. She had given up on trying to memorize a path to follow out, knowing that was probably the reason she was being led aimlessly in what seemed to be a circle at certain points. Of course the priest had the way memorized after all the years of leading kids to the drop spot. Or that’s what her parents called it. It was where Father Quince finally turned to her and spoke.
“Be well, child. Return to us.”
With that, he walked off again. Avis huffed as she realized it wouldn’t be a good idea to follow him out. She could get in trouble, or worse, scolded.
“Be well, child. Return to us,” she mocked annoyedly, choosing a direction to explore. “Not good luck, or a tip, or even a simple I know you can do it. He says be well and thinks that will ensure I ‘return’ home.” Of course Avis knew no one was around to listen to her soliloquy, because then she’d be monologuing. Her mother hated when her father monologued, though that was an understanding when all he ever rambled about was a show of mansplaining.
But no, Avis was alone. All alone in Drakfar Wood.
This was surely the nightmare of every child. Being left to die, though that was actually the opposite of what the rite of passage intended, in a dark forest surrounded by unfamiliar terrain at night. She supposed that was why she had heard of many adults being afraid of the forest. Who could blame them? A ten year old was scared of many things, but this was just plain old trauma producing stupidity in her eyes.
Avis tried to think of positive things. Her parents waiting worried sick, she assumed, wondering if they’d ever see their only child again. A warm bed where she probably wouldn’t be able to use for the foreseeable future because of this nightmare fuel. Okay, those thoughts weren’t distracting her enough, nor were they calming her racing heart down. Positive thoughts. Her cat, Ditze. His white fur, shining silver, and his cute little bell. The way he snuggled up to her every night before she went to sleep.
Alright, now she felt better. She had to get out of here. For Ditze.
Dead leaves left over from the fall crunched beneath her small feet as Avis walked. With every step, she told herself it was one closer to getting home. Home to her parents and Ditze. It was all she allowed herself to think about, because she couldn’t imagine that she wouldn’t make it out of Drakfar Wood. She had to. She wanted to live, see the sunrise again. If she let herself focus on that for even a second, she’d go into an anxiety spiral.
“Of course no one else was born on the exact same day as me. I just had to be all alone.” Avis mumbled, sighing as she looked up towards the sky. Or at least, she tried, but the canopy of evergreen trees blocked her. There probably weren't even any gods who would listen to her anyway. All she really wanted was to see the stars. They always seemed to tell her what she needed-
Wait, that may be the answer. “The stars..” She murmured, looking up again. She may not be able to see anything at this moment, but she could climb. If she broke through the canopy, she’d be able to see which direction the city was in. And if she couldn’t find it, she’d let the stars guide her home.
So Avis climbed. And climbed…and you guessed it, she climbed even more.
“How tall is this stupid tree?!”
Turns out, very tall. She may love climbing trees, but Avis did not love climbing this one. Her limbs ached halfway, or at least what she thought was halfway, and her palms became sweaty. Not to mention she could barely see the branches she was trusting to hold her weight on. It was a good thing she had always been small for her age. But finally, after who knows how long, she was able to poke her head out through the canopy.
“Wow…” She breathed out. Before was a vast expanse of green forest, lit up by the moon and the stars. It felt as though she could see everything and yet nothing was as she had ever seen before. Elareth sat in the distance, not close or too far, but for this moment Avis couldn’t find it in herself to care. All she could focus on was the wonder and beauty of a world she had never known before. Who says a 10 year old can’t appreciate the world’s natural beauty was wrong. Very, very, wonderfully wrong.
Ugh, FOCUS!
Snapping herself out of her daze, Avis imprinted the direction she had to follow to get out of Drakfar Wood. She didn’t want to forget the view either, so she tucked that away mentally as she climbed down through the canopy. There was no doubt her blonde hair was covered in pine needles at this point, but that was the least of her worries. Right now, at this moment, she needed to get back home. So she ignored the pine needles, the sticky sap stuck to her hands, and the weird feeling of her heart in her stomach.
Climbing down had her slower than she did when she did when she went up. Once she actually saw how high she had actually been, Avis bit her lip to try to calm her nerves. It did her no good as she almost grabbed onto a branch that she realized would not be able to hold her weight. Taking a moment to breathe, she flexed her shaky fingers before choosing another branch. This one was thicker, more sturdy, and had a lot of sap secreting from it. But looks can be deceiving.
Avis didn’t hear the snapping of the branch until she was already falling, her screams cutting off when the back of her head hit a branch hard.
Her hearing was the first thing to return. Slowly, her ears adjusted to sounds around her. Voices, quiet and unintelligible, then crickets and croaks of frogs. Through the thick fog in her brain, she was able to catch a single word.
“... cave…”
So, she was in a cave. That would explain the slightly echoing of the voices. But a cave shouldn't be this comfortable, thought Avis as the feeling in her limbs and body started to return. Though comfortable, whatever she was on felt like it stabbing her all over. After subtly moving her fingers around, she was able to realize she was laying on straw. That would explain the stabbing feeling.
Next of her senses to return to Avis was smell. Everything overwhelmed her nose, as if she had forgotten what the smell even was. First to hit her was the smell of wood burning. A fire. Whoever captured her had lit a fire. There was also the smell of a roasting animal. Are they going to cook me too? She had heard plenty of stories about what happened to the kids who went missing during their rite of passage. Boiled alive by Trolls. Eaten by a Werewolf or Vampire.
That was not how she wanted to die. Ditze needed her.
Staying silent was her only option. Try to figure out who her captors were and what they wanted to do with her. Figure out a way to escape without them noticing. Maybe if she pretended to still be knocked, they'd leave the cave and her alone at some point.
“Shouldn't we get some more kindling? The fire will go out soon.”
Perfect.
The sound of footsteps retreating followed after what she had to assume was a silent nod. They were leaving. At least four people left the cave, based on how many different voices chatted as they did so. Avis strained her ears to try to hear if someone else was left in the cave, but she heard nothing. She was free.
“I could hear your breathing change when you woke up.”
Nevermind.
Avis tensed up, her brain now going into panic mode. What was she supposed to do now? The voice was that of an adult female, so she certainly couldn't try to escape and outrun them with her tiny legs. She couldn't fight them because, again, this was an adult and Avis was a tiny little girl. Even kids two years younger than her managed to somehow be taller than her. So her fight or flight instincts would do her no good. Great. Now all she had left to do was freeze up. And freeze she did, for a little bit at least.
Forcing herself to open her eyes, she winced at the sudden light from the fire. It was as if all her senses had been reset after being unconscious for who knows how long. Avis hoped it had not been that long and that she was not already assumed dead because she had not yet returned to Elareth. But that was the last thing on her mind when she saw who her captor was.
A scream tore from the back of her throat before she could stop it, shrill and high in volume and pitch. The Werewolf woman quickly rushed over to cover Avis’ mouth, and this made her even more scared. She had been captured by Werewolves, multiple of them if the voices that she heard earlier weren't obvious. She had hoped that they were just regular humans who just wanted her for ransom or something, because she didn't think something that would eat her would speak in her tongue. But no, this was a Werewolf den, and she was probably found and considered an easy midnight snack.
The woman frowned, a fluffy set of ears dropped in annoyance, as Avis continued to scream into her palm. “You done yet?” In response, the girl let out a muffled whimper. The Werewolf woman huffed out a sigh and muttered something that was unintelligible through the panic.
“If I take my hand off your mouth, will you be able to stop screaming?”
Taking a moment to stare at the woman, Avis weakly nodded.
As soon as she was free, she shuffled herself backwards into the straw bed. “Please don't eat me.” Avis whispered meekly as she cradled her knees to her chest. The Werewolf frowned, putting her hands on her hips as if offended. Maybe she was. “I don't want to die! I just want to go home to my parents and my cat!”
“Honey, why would I eat you? My sons are out right now hunting for a meal and my daughter is getting more firewood. And humans taste absolutely horrid, so you’re fine.”
Avis felt herself pause at that. She tasted horrid? But her parents always said that humans were a ‘Werewolf’s favorite delicacy' or something like that. Her teachers told her that she’d be killed or eaten alive if she ever got caught by the wolf hybrids. The woman in front of her could be lying and trying to get her to let her guard down. Avis remembered a teacher saying something about the muscles tensing up when killed under stress and that it made meat not as good.. Maybe the woman wanted to poison her.
“Yo-you’re lying! My mother said I was delicious!” Avis stammered out shakily. The Werewolf woman in front of her sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. Weird, my dad does that all the time. Years of stress had started to build up behind Avis’ eyes, and she wiped her nose with a sniffle as the woman bent down to be at her height. It was something a lot of people had to do because of her size. Maybe it was to make her feel less small than she really was.
Trying to make eye contact with Avis, the woman tilted her head. “What’s your name, sweetie?” The blonde girl blinked as tears began streaming down her face. She had really tried, not wanting to look as terrified as she felt, but it was no use. “A-Avery.” The lie came out stammered. Avis was old enough to know not to give out her information to strangers. Especially strangers who probably wanted to eat her. So she gave out a fake name just in case, just like she was taught.
“Avery, alright. My name is Diena.” The woman said, and Avis sniffled. Was that another lie? Or was it the truth just so she’d trust her even more? Avis was starting to wonder what was really going on. Nothing about what she was told about Werewolves seemed to apply to this woman, not including the wolf-like ears and long bushy tail. She had always prided herself on being an excellent judge of character, and this woman so far was nothing but kind to her. Was that just an act or was she really not going to get eaten tonight?
“Oh, the human is awake.”
Avis flinched at the sound of another voice echoing through the cave. A teen girl, also a Werewolf hybrid of course approached the two, and took one look at the blonde little girl. “Mom, why is she crying?” Diena sighed and gestured for her daughter to set the firewood in her arms down. Avis sniffled again.
“Avery, this is my daughter, Kyren.” The teen waved with a small smile. “Kyren, this is Avery. She thinks we want to eat her.” Diena finished as Kyren started to place some wood in the fire. With a chuckle and a shake of her head, the teenager looked back at Avis’ state of tears and panic. “Don’t worry, you taste horrible. And the blood attracts too many scavengers.” Diena let out an annoyed huff at the joke in her daughter's voice, but turned back to Avis with a smile.
They even acted like mother and daughter. And Diena said she had sons as well who were away to hunt for a meal. This was a pack. A family. Avis never imagined the beasts she grew up being taught to fear were so similar to here. They were…kind. And civil, and maybe funny if you’re not fearing for your life. Had everything she had been taught about Werewolves a lie? But…why? Surely there had to be something that happened a long time ago that led to this mass paranoia? There was no way her parents and teachers would teach her to fear without reason.
Hugging her arms to herself, Avis tried to make her voice sound braver than she felt. “S-so you didn’t k-kidnap me to kill me?” Kyren scoffed at the question, very clearly offended while her mother just shook her head. “No, honey. We didn’t kidnap you and we don’t want to kill you. One of my sons found you lying on the ground with a bump on your head and brought you here a couple hours ago.” A couple hours ago? So it was still night. Avis still had time to get home before sunrise, and before everyone assumed her dead. But would these Werewolves even let her go?
“I need to go home.”
This did nothing to surprise Diena or her daughter. “We figured you were on your rite of passage when we found you. Kids your age from Elareth are frequent in the Drakfar Wood.” Kyren said without taking her eyes off the fire as she stoked it with a long stick. Embers flew around and the cave was fully illuminated as the fire came alive again. “It’s a stupid thing to make such a young human child do without proper preparation. My children were supervised heavily and taught how to survive before they were ever let out on their own.” Avis looked down at Diena’s words. It definitely was stupid.
“Can I go home?” Avis tried again, her voice weak again as she waited for an answer. Both Diena and Kyren’s eyes fell on her again, and she felt herself shrink back again. “Avery, honey, you fell from a tree. You need to res-” The mother Werewolf tried, but upon seeing the tears gather up in the girls eyes again, faltered. She just wanted to get out of Drakfar Wood and go home to her parents, and cat apparently.’
“We’ll take you to edge of the forest, but you need to get some sleep.”
Avis was too scared to argue.
It took not even five minutes for her to fall asleep due to how stressed she was. She passed out on the straw, hoping that she would wake up.
“Avis.”
Avis awoke to the sound of chirping birds. Her skin felt warm as she came, her eyelids glowing with the sun behind them. There were no creepy forest or cave sounds. There was no anxiety or fear for her life. Even her body felt comfortable, as if she were wrapped in a warm blanket. All was well and ok.
“Avis.”
Wait, no cave sounds? But that was where she last remembered being before Avis went to sleep. The straw had poked at her body and there was the crackling of the warm fire. The warmth around her now wasn’t from any flame, nor was the smell of burning coal anymore. Maybe she had never been there in the first place. Yes…she must have blacked out after falling from the tree and somehow wandered to the edge of the forest unconsciously.
“Avis!”
Avis jolted up. Was she really out of the Drakfar Wood? Did the Werewolves really save her? Who was calling her name?

LUMINARY
-Valko/OC Story
-Summery:
In the face of danger, you have very little options presented to you. Fight or flight, right?
But sometimes the decision is made for you. Sometimes you’re taught that you’re supposed to hate those who hold the very weapon that could either save or destroy you. Sometimes you’re taught to always assume that that weapon will destroy you, no matter what. So you run.
Fear is a powerful thing in the hands of another. It’s better if you don’t put it in anyone's hands, right?
When you grow up, you’re taught to be careful about who to trust with your secrets. At the bottom of the list of who to share with, are strangers and of course, your enemies. But what if they already know your secrets? Well, you were taught to assume that they’ll use them against you. To fear those who you think will use them. So you run.
But when you’ve been running your whole life, you eventually realise that sometimes…the ones who taught you to fear their enemies, fear what may happen if you don’t.

Oh I don't know, maybe Infold only listening to the CN haters and cancelling him. This is practically killing, murder, and there will be hell to pay.
I'm writing a long Valko story, multiple chapters and 2 acts, and I'm posting the first chapter on July 9th. Consider this your Valko release, Miss Hunters. You could even imagine it's his myth story, but for free and with an OC. Comment if you want to be tagged when it comes out.
Y'all I really need to lock in finish the chapter for the Valko story, but I'm in the middle of a rehearsal for a play. I'll have to just stay up late tonight and write my ass off to have it ready to post at some point tomorrow. This is your final chance to ask to be tagged when I post it.
Also y'all need to keep me updated on the Valko situation. If they shadow update him for version 6.0 I need to know ASAP. I'm running on hopium and desperation right now.
I'm actually gonna cry if Infold doesn't say something regarding everything we've done the past 8 days.
Love y'all and keep me updated and motivated!
Just so you know it's not black out day for me yet so I'm gonna use the tags.
Please don’t lose hope or momentum in the #bringvalkoback movement!
We need to keep making Valko trend on all social media sites. The hashtags in comments are great but it is more helpful when we all make our own posts using the same set of hashtags all at once. If you see this post, this is your sign to post something and use the hashtag #bringvalkoback! Regardless of your platform size, you have a voice and we need you to use it so that we have a better chance at successfully getting Valko back.
We need to avoid fighting amongst each other. We need to be engaging with each other’s posts. Share it, tag other creators and bring in as many people as we can to help us in this! Avoid feeding into the rumors floating around that are meant to make things feel hopeless, we can all come together and make this happen!
Because I'm trying to write the first chapter for the Valko story, but my brain malfunctioned at 1000 words and I'm stuck. Comment if you want to be tagged when I (somehow idk how) I finish it and post it on July 9th.

Trying to offer a bit of positivity in these trying times :'''')
Wait no now I really want to win this because I'm posting the first chapter to my long Valko fic on that day, comment if you want to be tagged, and it would be awesome to have Avis be drawn with him!
Alright @elzangelx I'm seriously considering writing this because this is the third time it's turned up on my feed.
If I do write this, it'll be with my Mc (one of them at least) and she'll have a name. It'll be written in third person as well. Angst will ensure. It'll mainly be a Valko x Mc though with slight Sylus x Mc
Now I'm glad I haven't uninstalled the game yet. I've been on the fence about it since the announcement, but I've been seeing a lot of posts saying this and I'm glad I didn't. I'm already a F2P player, so I just have to continue doing so. Funny thing is, I was seriously considering starting to invest money once Valko came out. I need to get a job though.
